specific recommendations for TRS and LRS cache loop management: TRS= the device seem strong structurally if it bumps a backup knot. Cache loop LRS with backup slip knots= NOT looking strong structurally 😞
Yann, for top rope solo I use a Camp Lift for my primary ascender and a Micro Traxion for my backup. Works great for me, thanks for your top rope solo course which was a great help for me in getting started with top rope soloing and thanks for this video!

thanks Yann for this review. i guess the best issue of the mini trax compared to micro and nano is the fact that you dont need to take it out of the biner to set up the hauling system. this is a very nice point, at least for me! thanks! 🙏🏼🙏🏼

I'm wondering how Tibloc would do in friction and friction+weight charts. It goes pretty smooth, too.
Good question!! Tibloc 1 was very low friction. But the new one with the spring has more! Depends on the carabiner used with it too. I think it has more friction than a lot of them. Should try it out!! Thanks for the comment!!
So do you recommend this over the micro for TRS? Also, from the video it seems like the Spoc might be the best TRS device?

Depends for what use! For general use, an oval would be ideal. If you need to minimize the risks of “bad loading” at all costs (if the mini is not always tended by someone near), I have a complete list available to my online TRS and LRS students.
Would the pro traxion have better top rope solo performance than mini or micro?

Where did you get your price table? All the major retailers sell at lest the Petzl stuff for much cheaper than in your list. Sub 80 for the micro, and spot on 100 for the new mini
Probably prices in Canada… I know the USA prices can be quite a bit cheaper on the Petzl stuff!
Where are you seeing the new Mini selling at $100? Asking for a friend…
