I probably watched most of the bigger youtube videos on these and I must say you guys have something of a special sauce, down to earth and nice to watch. Well done, thank you.

Thanks for the informative video! It's really helping me to decide if the PM is worth its price, for its easy quick configurability. Really loved your other video covering the manfrotto loader backpacks too (I got one!). Keep putting out these content, they're good. 😀

    Hi,
Nice video. Thank you for this!
For me, the Pgytech is a much better camera backpack.
I had both by my side this week. Pgytech has everything at its core, while you have to buy everything at Nomatic. The price at Nomatic is then 500CA $ (or more). In addition, at Nomatic I pay $ 60CA for postage while Pgytech is on Amazon!
The Nomatic acts like a box on its back.
    The biggest fun is space.
While I will give the Canon Eos R + battery grip and RF 24-104mm L lens to Pgytech completely fine, so it is not so easy with Nomatic.
I can't even build a 70-200mm L F4 lens, but I have to put it down. 25L vs 25L? I don't think the Nomatic really has 25L, then Pgytech would have 30L plus an extension to 35L. 😀
In addition, Pgytech has a much better zipper.
At Nomatic, they jam and mainly on one side at the top.
There's so much more to compare than just that Pgytech sits comfortably on its back or is cheaper.
Why did I want to try Nomatic? The only thing was mainly the weight of about 1.6Kg while Pgytech has 2.1Kg.
Personally, the Nomatic backpack significantly disappointed me and it still came damaged. 😥

I’m buy the OneMo since it’s on sale on BnH for $129 USD. 😁👍
Thanks for the comparison review. Glad to hear about the OneMo from long term users. I only wished it came with better waistline support since I try to take most of the weight off my shoulders and into my hips and legs.

Great informative comparison! Leaning towards the OneMo V2, but not sure if it would hold 2 mirrorless bodies plus 4 or 5 lenses (longest lens 70-300 f/4.5-5.6)? Thanks!

The Oneme v2 comes in a 25l and a 35l. We have the 25 liter and it holds about the same as the original in the main gear area. Where its way bigger is in the front compartment. I can fit the Canon C70 with a 24-70mm rf and a Canon Eos R with 70-200mm easily in the bag. There is room for one or two lenses more. All that being said if you are more a 300mm focal length shooter with 4+ lenses I think the 35 l Onemo V2 could do the trick. I could also highly recommend the Tenba Axis 24l or 32l v2. Another favorite of ours that fits a lot and is super nice is the. Vangaurd Veo Select 48bf; this is a seriously nice backpack for lots of lenses.
Thanks so much for watching! Let us know what back pack you go with!

@@soldoutmedia8025 Thanks alot for the informative reply! I'm still in the "research" mode, as I'm having to determine if I really need a bag larger than 26L, my intended "sweet spot", since I go hiking, and don't want a "very" large pack. Thanks again! .

i loved the video! very informative! i wanna get the everyday backpack but not having side pockets is a bit of a downside to me! specially because you keep the center of gravity up in the top, if you keep a heavy camera there!

  • @DimusTech
    @DimusTech 2 года назад

One of the reasons I didn't get neither of these is because of the weight, I'm searching for such a backpack but that weights less, both of these are good but I don't like the PM for 1 reason, it doesn't have a side access which I love.
Currently I'm using the Peak Design everyday backpack 20L (moved to V2 after activating the warranty, I had V1 for a couple of years and love it!!) the only problem for me in the PD is that it still weights and I'd wish it would had some more expansion when needed for example for groceries or coat etc.

You guys didn't even talk about the accessory cube bags - Sling for the OneMo and Cube Backpack for the Pirate.

      Hi
Thanks for the comments! Sorry we could have been more focused on the cubes and slings. We passed over them once or twice in the video once at 11:30 and at 14:00.
When looking at the comparison the Mckinnon sling doesn’t look like it actually fits smoothly into the Everyday where as the OneMo sling fits great and doubles as a cube.
Should we order the extra Mckinnon bag and put it to the test?
      Thanks again!

@@soldoutmedia8025 I just thought it was something to point out. I don't know what guides your purchasing decisions but, while interesting, a comparison of the 2 wouldn't be so compelling since the OneMo Sling pops out just slightly while the Pirate Life Sling pops out a full blown backpack. It would've been a nice comparison as a system but it wouldn't compel me to change if I owned one or the other. The Nomatic X Peter McKinnon collab looks like a great bag but the price difference from the OneMo is just too great. PGYTech OneMo Bang for the Buck win.

It was really one of my biggest complaints. The new design on the OneMo Lite is a little better since they changed how it opens.

We don’t use them much anymore. As they got older they became super unreliable. Now they fill space when we review back packs.

the fact that the Peter bag is being pitted against the PGY says a lot about the quality of PGY. You can get a tripod on there. It comes with straps that attach the the back. It also has a side pocket that you can put tripod feet in and has a strap across the side/top. And magnets suck. Try getting through some rough terrain and watch that pocket fly wide open. Annoying AF IMO. From my personal experience the way the PGY open makes more sense when you use heavier cameras. SIde saddling a bag to open it is a disaster waiting to happen. Also comes with an all weather cover. Cant argue with that. On a slight tanget. Its way nicer looking that the Nomatic. The nomatic looks like a Lowepro from the 90's/ Its ok for those old photograpehrs. Th ePGY doesnt actually LOOK like a camera bag. Bonus when out on your own.
