@@Witregel It doesn't just happen. It requires extraordinary practice. However, the POTENTIAL is the gift. Not everyone has the potential in the first place.
im 14 and im proud to love this guy!!! so many people my age listen to nothing but ridiculousness and no talent hacks but bobby, he;s got it going on!! :)
For all the people that were not patient enough to watch this whole vid, you are missing out! Never before i saw an artist doing something so naught but playfull at the same time on stage. Loved it. Watch this from 2:00 to check what i'm refering to
Loooooove that man. He takes out the microphone exactly on the 3rd beat, making everything he does part of the music. How cool is that? BTW: he is not crazy at all - he is just having a good time - and makes other people have a good time. How cool is that?
He was in Paris :-) I was there too and he was ingenious, unforgettable. Sensation from this performance is deaply inside... Ave Maria with Michèle Hendricks were unbeleveable :-))) It was best what I ever seen... :-)
I'm watching all the videos here and I think...wow ok this can't get any better than this and then there's something like this! I mean, how brilliant is he, man!!
Saw him live at the State Theater in 1984. We had never heard of him but our vocal jazz instructor "strongly recommended" that we go see him. I've seen everyone from Kenny Rogers to Skinny Puppy and this was easily one of the best shows I've ever seen in my life. One man. One microphone. Amazing talent.
I've got no idea from when this is, looks pretty old to me...and it shows clearly that he was from the beginning on not just an absolutly fantastic musician but also wonderful in his interaction with the audience...one day in my live I will be at a concert with bobby...and that will be the best day in my whole live!
@readygo242 that doesn't mean he just automatically hits all of the notes, though. perfect pitch is identifying pitches. it takes a whole new set of skills, or talent, or both, to sing like that, even if you have perfect pitch.
While I'm sure we've clowned and mimicked this piece at many a party, whooping it up, not many have attempted a James Brown re-make. Brown's unique style is a hard act to follow. This is indeed talent!
@ishta acutally, he can get written permission to perform someone else's stuff. i do agree with you, there was a time when artists openly shared their music with everyone and allowed anyone who wanted to perform their own music.(look at how many covers of early jazz music there were from the original artist's contemporaries) in the late 70's-early 80's lawyers & labels started to be d-bags &take the claim of an artists song & keep others from singing it unless the label can make a buck off it.
That vocal range and quick huge note switch is a grace of god. Arguably one of the most gifted singers out there.
He also sat in a room and just sang for 3 years so there's that
Exactly, it's not like this kind of skill just happens.
@@Witregel It doesn't just happen. It requires extraordinary practice. However, the POTENTIAL is the gift. Not everyone has the potential in the first place.
@@willstanton7823 I feel like half the gift is the passion for music and the right mindset required to develop the talent he was born with.
@@milarkdoesthings450 Yep definitely. The gift is both the passion and the potential for competence.
taking the mic out of the stand at 1:38 is one of the most musical things I have ever seen
1:38
Even pulling his microphone off the stand is in rhytm. This man is so awesome! And he was fantastic live in Denmark.
"wooo, mmm baby, wooo mmm baby.. removes mic *PUCK* got the feelin' uwwwooo" dude seriously got rhythm 😂
This is just so impressive. His ability to switch between the notes so smoothly with such control is seriously unbelievable.
I'm a simple man... IfI listen to bobby mcferrin live... I smile 😁
Can you imagine that couple's ride home after the show?
I cannot 😳
Damn, this guy is cool personified. No hesitations, living his life to the max. That's what it means to be alive. :)
I need this lossless quality as this is the best version in the world. I'll pay $20. Please Bobby
im 14 and im proud to love this guy!!! so many people my age listen to nothing but ridiculousness and no talent hacks but bobby, he;s got it going on!! :)

he really is music in a human form. absolutely incredible!
Amazing to see his evolution from this kind of performance to turning the audience into his instrument.
The mic pull was so finely executed, I doubt even the most precision events would even come close!

I would have to dissagree and hope you notice how much of a Talent this man has for The act of woo-ing a woman.
