Still have my demarini steel from i wanna say 2017 or 18. Bat has stayed in the bed of my truck as a safety device lol. Survived texas snowpaclypse twice and countless storms and heat waves. Still test at 300 and hits well besides the funny ping sound lol
I still have my 2006 Raw Steel that I bought new. The white steel was illegal for years in our single wall league because of the composite handle. I was actually hitting with it while BPing my Tantrum a couple days ago. It still hits hard.
Tried this bat out in my singlewall league and this bat was surprisingly hot just like the older models like 08 2010 ones. Way hotter than my 2018 one for sure idk why 😂
i took some swings last winter with my aluminum Tri-shell thinking, "How is this thing in today's game?"...after about 4 or 5 swings and finding the itty, bitty sweet spot, it was pretty good still.....rings you up a bit but just swinging metal bats was kind of cool again...the closest sound I get to your demarini steel is actually my Genesis bats...guys swear I am using metal....but like you said, this was fun and you learn something new everyday
It was an experience for us and kind of a mix up of content for you guys because of something other than another composite bat. Different is good! People need variety in their life!
That's a surprise bat for when the ball gets too humid and mushy...used to swing one way 10+ years back the white steel and surprised me how well it hit
Surprise bat for sure, JR! It would definitely be a fun bat to bring out to league and challenge some guys with. Pleasant surprise to see it hits pretty well, but you still have to earn it!
I know you have heard this from old guys like me but this is what we swung. Back then you had 2 guys per lineup as homerun hitters and not everyone as it is with composites. One thing for sure, in South Florida during very humid days that turn balls to mush, sometimes I rather use this than flex heavy two piece. It simply hits them. Trick is to attack the ball instead of trying to place it.
Best alloy bat currently unless you can get your hands on a worth PST. Alloy leagues are better imho, but bat options are so limited. Watching the composite guys realize they don't have a much power as they thought is fun to watch. There's always a question with composite bats unless they're testing regularly as well.
Watched a guy unwrap one of before his at at bat. This was back in 07 when they first came out. Needless to say, he took out the umpires windshield parked 50 feet past the right field fence. Those old white steels crushed .375s.
I had the 2006 demarini white steel with the composite handle and my dad had a couple as well and i liked the sound but nothing sounds better then the old miken and og synergy /synergy 2/extended/ flex/ sounds. For years i could tell you what bat the person on the field was swinging if i couldn't see it. Now not so much.
@@TheBPHero well I grew up in a bowling alley and on a softball field and it took me a little bit to figure out what they were swinging so I studied by looking then listening. And next year I knew what bat they were swinging.
I know someone who got this bat for a single wall metal bat league in which I occasionally play. He grounded into DP the first time he used it, and popped up during the next at bat. Nobody wanted to come close to it for the rest of the game.
@@TheBPHero Uh, no. He did manage to hit a short fly ball that landed for a hit on a check swing during a later at bat. Dude simply couldn't adjust from his fake composite bat power.
First time ever really looking into senior bats. Possible present for my Dad next years season. We play USA/ASA. 52/300. With senior bats in general is there a strict difference between USSA made bats and USA/ASA like non senior bats? For what will test and be within limits? Or are most Senior bats universal because the 50 and over rule of use
To my knowledge there is no compression testing standards for senior play. If you decide to get pops a bat, hit me up. Would be glad to help get you a deal!
Without seeing your specific league rules I can’t be certain, but I do believe this should fit within the rules of most alloy leagues. Great choice for a bat if you can use it, for sure.
@@TheBPHero yeah it’s just has to be a alloy bat. Not a composite or wood. I’m looking to hit bombs this year in the league I was having a hard time last year and my bat I believe was the issue. @@chaseklein8501 I unfortunately don’t have a ton of experience with the alloy stuff. If you are hitting 52/300 balls, this will do just as good as some of the composites we hit last year. I can definitely stand behind that
if your swinging a composite with these balls you should be hitting them out especially at your size play in a single wall league see how many you bounce off the fence or get caught

@@mx_ata2d642 MLS still allows composite ASA/USA bats. BLD leagues in the IE also allow Utrip composite bats as well. The leagues in Fountain Valley and Tustin are the single wall leagues.

You can always tell who the good hitters are when they go from composite to single wall or double walls bats
Another big reason I like 52’s. A good hitter won’t skip a beat

Sometimes it doesn’t need to make sense, it just needs to work! 😂
The original ones could hit old blue or red dots and the barrel used to be a steel/ titanium alloy. You can smash hard balls
I really wanted to experiment with that but for the sake of making sure I had something to sell afterwards I went ahead and just stuck with 52s

I miss the old stz-1s and anderson single walls. I found Dems were hot but boat oared way way too quick.
Just picked mine up, hard to find here in Canada. How do you like it after several months?
Most of this stuff we review we just get in and out the door, so we didn't put many more swings on this after the review.
I got some old aluminum sticks you might want to use for videos
My pride can only take so much of these bats 😂
I’m new to softball. This is my first bat. Why does everyone hate this kind of bat?
Top tier bats are made from carbon composite. Composite allows the walls of the barrel to flex way more, which allows way more performance.
