- **Song lyrics below** Well, they did it, they placed the facility where I live on a lockdown where we can't go out (except to the doctor) and also no visitors are allowed in. When I got the news this morning I was REALLY upset. But then after talking to some friends, I realized I can take this opportunity to rest and also make content to help us get through this time. I decided I will make a daily vlog for this time and just keep you up to date on how I'm handling all the changes as well as it's a chance for us to encourage each other. Bless your heart! It’s going to be ok. When I get sad and anxious I try to remember to count my blessings. You have a lot of blessings! You can sing beautifully and play several instruments. (I have been trying to learn to play ukulele for a long time but I’m just not gifted like you are.) You can ride your bike in the sunshine and go fishing any time you want. You have all of us that love you and think that you are a ray of sunshine! You have a great worship leader and friends you can talk to on the phone, and staff/friends to spend time with and make videos with. Even though sometimes the kitchen messes up your order, you always have food to eat and clean water to drink. You have a clean, lovely, comfy bed to sleep in and a cute little puppy to lay by your side. You have all your instruments, tv, laptop, and games to enjoy and a swing and a cute little garden to tend to. You can look out your window and see the sunshine, green grass, trees, and wildlife, all of which God created for us to enjoy. But best of all, you have the living God right inside your heart and he’s with you every minute of every day! Oh!...and plenty of toilet paper!🤣🤣🤣 Hang in there sweetheart!!

I've been really anxious about being on lockdown or having to quarantine at home too. I HATE not being able to go out and I get so bored and anxious. I know exactly how you're feeling. Glad you got your extra supply of toilet paper. lol

I am so glad I started following you, I love you already. I'm a 58 year old grandmother that is going to be raising my grandson who is 10 1/2 and has autism, very soon. He's in a foster home and I couldn't get him before now because my house was too small. We just bought a house and have a bedroom for him. The 1st five years he didn't have much to say. He only mimicked people like a parrot. At around his 6th year he started to really talk & now he never stops talking! ❤️
I'm glad he talks now but we all like quiet time too. 🤷♀️❤️I'm a bit nervous but we will be fine.

I’m sorry you have to be on lockdown, I’m sure they’re doing it for everyone’s protection. I live in NY and a lot has changed in the last couple of weeks, too. Many people have to work from home, school closings and what’s up with the toilet tissue? You can’t find it anywhere. I really don’t get that one. We’re all going through a tough time right now, but your beautiful song says so much. God is with us, with Him by our side we are never alone. I felt God's presence. We will all get through this virus, God's got it! I can't go to Church on Sunday because I am under the high risk category of getting sick because I have heart failure and lung disease. I want to be with my friends and Church family. They help me refocus my mind away from every stress, illness that I have in my life and back to God, the one who can get me through it all.

Oh how I needed your sweet voice singing tonight, Jen. I have had a rough week. My 88 year old mom is sick and I found out today that my work is shut down for at least the next two weeks. I have felt tearful and anxious all day and your voice and smile and music soothed my heart. I ❤ you! God has us both girl. We'll be okay.

Yes, lockdown is going to be a trial, but think of how many trials you've already come through with flying colors. I am so proud of you that you managed to calm yourself down and are starting to look at this like an adventure, which it can be. My secret weapon with my grandson when he starts to stress out too badly is we count backwards. I said 10, he says 9, I say 8, etc. It really helps him a lot. He is 13 and autistic. The local schools haven't closed...yet, but I am kind of expecting that announcement any time now, and we will prevail. We will overcome, and we will have a great time, and probably do a lot of baking.
I have got to get a few of those swings! I love them and they look so comfortable!

Keep worshipping Him, Keep Him the center of it all, I will be praying for you.. and pray for me too.. as we are locked down for some time.. but we will make it... as the bible says " this too shall pass"

That's such a great idea, we don't need buildings for church, church is the people and we have the wonders of the internet now.
I can understand how this situation brings up bad feelings from the past, and that’s completely valid. But I think that the biggest difference and blessing here is that you have been allowed to create a life for yourself this time. You have a home, plants, a dog and TONS of friends inside and out of your facility. You have the ability to stim if you want and voice your concerns and frustrations without being punished. You are being heard and are not alone! You are amazing and strong.

So thank you for doing your bit to keep people like me safe. 👏 I’m also autistic and have no friends irl after my only friend died a few months ago. I come to your channel to feel fellowship and friendship even though we don’t know each other. Maybe those of us in lockdown can subscribe and visit the channels of those who are also on lockdown and we can get through this together. Stay safe cx

That song blessed my heart so much, Jen! Thank you. I’ve been struggling today with making decisions about church services. I’m a pastor, and I want to keep my church members safe. We’ve got several elderly members and members with other health issues. It’s tough sometimes making those decisions, and finding a safe balance for everyone. Thanks for the encouragement.

My heart goes out to you sweetheart. As someone else who has autism used to routines etc I can imagine how hard this is for you. I live in New Zealand and we only have 6 people infected. At this point it's still okay to go out but all major events are canceled. My parents and I are going to the supermarket next Wednesday and even though I have toilet paper I'm going to get more and some tinned and packaged foods that I normally eat. Our prime minister has just announced that all people coming into New Zealand have to self isolate for two weeks which is a big deal but being a small country not close to other countries we still have a chance to contain the virus.

Hey Jen, here in PA everything got shut down today. It’s a lot to take in. Many churches are planning on live-streaming services, hopefully you can enjoy a service this way. We made a calendar in our house to mark down the days before we hope we can back to normal. And each day we are trying to jot down something we are thankful for. Hang in there! The coming days will be a once in a life time adventure.
Someone has maybe already suggested this but maybe if your church is going to stream Sunday service live you can find a way to work with them and co-live stream music. Don’t loose hope! You are a blessing to so many people

Goodness gracious, Jennifer, I just love you. You're not alone there on lockdown. You have all of us with you. When we see you, it's like we're right there with you. We feel like we're real and true friends with you. You make us so happy. That's why we keep coming back. You are a ray of sunshine in so many of our constantly cloudy lives. Jennifer, we need you. You touch us with your goodness. Why, at about 2:00 a.m. this morning, I was lying in bed (supposed to be sleeping) sharing your videos with my two sisters and niece. (If they were sleeping before, they weren't anymore! They're phones were going bing, bing, bing! 🤣) Earlier in the day my husband kept asking me what I was laughing at. It was your video about the animals you don't trust. I loved it! I think it was from two or three years ago. I laughed and laughed. It was great. So, please remember that you have all of us out here in You Tube land in addition to the wonderful staff there and all your in-person friends. I know it's hard to be locked down for a bit because of what you went through before, but God brought you out of that horror and he'll never let you go back into anything like that. You are FREE, and you will always be free... even if you are locked down for awhile. You have Lemonade; your wonderful staff; your home; the grounds with the crazy deer, racoons, alligators, birds, and FISH. Yay on the fish! When I heard you are going to vlog everyday, it made me very happy. Jennifer, it's ok to have all your feelings. It's hard for your routine to be broken and for some scary things to be going on (lock down) but talk to your staff and friends about how you're feeling. It will help. Do the vlogs and sing. I loved the song you sang. I loved the message and I loved your voice. I could listen to you all day long. Your voice is beautiful and very soothing. I have had anxiety and depression my whole life. Sometimes it's a great thing to count your blessings, which I know you have been doing 😊 As a registered nurse, my coworkers and I have no choice but to go into work each day and make sure others are treated back to health and I must say..there's nothing else I'd rather be doing with my life. I'm blessed to have the career that I do.
