the good ol days when you had to stay up late and make sure you had a blank vhs tape in the vhs player so when the badass metal music came on you could record them cause stupid MTV never played the awesome stuff until midnight haha
Yes man. Recorded about 10 VHS with the german Show "MTV Superrock". It always was on a monday, so often woke up earlier then I usually did, when I had to go to school to watch a bit of that tape, cause it was too hard to be in school without an idea what stuff was recorded. After school directly put a Pizza in the oven and started the video to watch the rest and the ones I already fall in love with in the morning, fully excited. So I found bands like System of a down years before they went famous and showed that stuff to my friends and infected them with fkn heavy music. Changed my life. Proud to be a part of the olschoolers. It was an amazing time. :')
In this day and age no one, not you, not me, not anybody, will sit in front of a tv and wait for a song/video that he likes to get played. He will get on the internet and listen/watch it whenever he wants. RUclips made MTV... OBSOLETE!!! Just ignore it.

+EmpiresDawn Yeah, but we would sit and watch or even have it on in the background in case they did or to discover new bands. We used to have three hours of power on triple j, many moons ago, then slowly it became the hour of power and it was on at like midnight or something stupid. MTV already had the real world and shit like that while they were a music station. They have two channels down here, MTV classic, I think, where they play music and MTV something, where they play ex on the beach, jersey shore, teen mom, all that shit. Dont think youtube played much part in it. We still have rage. People like to watch others self destruct in public. Pay the $$ and see these bands live, most still tour, get off the couch and see live music.
If that concept would still work and finance itself it would be done. Maybe you and a couple of other dudes would watch it but that doesn't mean it would pay out. The online.generation doesn't need this stuff anymore.
One of the things I always found amusing about Fear Factory is they never had the industrial metal "look" compared to so many other bands. On stage they just look like dudes that would be as comfortable in a bar down the street as they are playing metal.
Having, at one point, gotten halfway shithammered with Dino after the bar closed when I still had to be at work at 9am in an entirely different city..... this is pretty fair. I honestly still have no idea why he started talking to me, though.
Imagine, 1995. A group of teens. Marlboros, joints, beer. Old ass computers on every corner to check your email and this playing everyday, along with the rest of the album and type o negative. Great memories. Then, seeing rhem at ozzfest was kickass as well. 🤘🤘
Such innovation and creativity that they'd added to metal and this is way back in the 90s. Without these guys there will be no metalcore that incorporates melody in choruses.

Dino basically said he couldnt give a fuck what anyone thought. Who gives a fuck if the dudes 300lbs or 150lbs? Unless you want to fuck him. FF are the shit and live they are even better. They still play Self Bias and Zero Signal. Pisschrist seems to be played here and there. Id like to see them play Drain You by Nirvana, Pisschrist more often and chuck Big God in there too.
Michael Smythe Mostly the new stuff with some classic Demanufacture/Obsolete era thrown in. Burt's voice sounds a bit shot, but throw him a bone, he's been performing for almost 30 years. Dino's a great guitarist regardless of how fat he is, but he's supposed to be a huge a-hole. The now ex-FF members Ray and Chris thought so, as well as his mates in Divine Heresy. Hell, even Burt thought at one point if you just listen to the lyrics of "Archetype."
No shit. Very interesting. He is a great guitarist, but if he was that bad, he wouldnt be hard to replace. I love the dismissal of a God in Burtons lyrics. He speaks for a mass of people that just cant accept a higher being. I saw them in Feb, I think, at Soundwave. They played Signal, Self Bias, Resurrection, some new stuff and some older stuff. Id like to see them try Timelessness, Big God, Decent. His voice wasnt too bad, but like you said, 30 years of touring. Theyre a solid live act.

Dam that drummer is seriously amazing
That was awesome! I love Fear Factory!!!
90s were the best man , miss being young.....
So perfectly 1995 📸
This sounds like it was recorded in my basement. And I love it 🤘🏻
dean ambrose + kurt cobain = burton c bell
Fun fact: Burton is one of the kids in the crowd in Nirvana's Smells like Teen Spirit video. No joke.
@@PiousMoltar and he's allegedly in the crowd for Iron Maiden's Live After Death LP.
Awesome Comparation :D
@@PiousMoltar Thx. Great information! :)
Listening to this in 2022 gave me the same speed as in 1995! Glorious times!
Christian is so underrated.
Best performance ever! Live
They sound solid here, I miss the 90s.
You can see how the so called "nu metal" started to take influence on them, visually of course: adidas and Herrera wearing a Deftones t-shirt.
@@Easun36 honestly... Thrash fandom fucking sucks bruh I have respect for Metallica Slayer and Sepultura but other than that. Thrash fucking sucks don't get me wrong they can fucking play tight but other than that they got no mother fucking goddamn respect for the bands they influence they assholes just like RATM and Faith No More so fuck people like that. I hope ur not like that. And if u are than I hope for u... We don't cross paths because being honest the stuff I been thru I can say for sure I am beyond a shadow of a doubt a terrible person and I am prepared to fuck up anyone I deem a threat
ITS MY FAVORITE BAND
Great memories. Great band. Dino rules!
they seemed to be the only ones doin it hefty with double base back in the mid 90s
Pantera was very double bass heavy from Far Beyond Driven (1994 on) forward.
yeah well but it appeared mutch softer since pantera does not really push the guitar distortions .. and they where very bluesy/jazzy in their rythym wich made it less brutal imho ... FF is very industrial like a hammer on the anvil
solunasunrise Well, as far as popular metal goes, they were the only band with insane double bass influenced by death metal and grind
Let's see:
Demanufacture was out in 1994
Carcass had already been levelling people with Necroticism in 1991 and Heartwork in 1993
Also Napalm Death were heavy as fuck in 1993.
Headbangers Ball times - best times ever
This song is so good!
