We're back from our Carnival Horizon cruise and we share our thoughts on what we liked and what we didn't like on this cruise ship. We hope you enjoy our honest opinions!
Have yet to sail on a Vista class ship, although we will be on the Firenze, I’m not sure how different that one is. That gosh darn gimbal lol. Thanks for sharing guys!
So I m hoping to go on horizon December or later 2025 and something I found on all the videos on horizon is the thrill theater is closed due to covid. My question with the new vista renovation will they be removing the thrill theater and replacing with with the no smoking section like on vista? Or will the trill theater open back up. By the way your camera is very funny in this video?
We have upgraded our equipment:) I am going to guess that they will remove the thrill theater and add another casino like they did with the other ship but nothing formal has been confirmed. Happy cruising 🛳
We did not do the sky ride but we will do next time we go on this ship! Cabin was a little noisy as the balcony door whistled a bit due to the seals being old! Wasn't enough to complain about though!
@@CarnivalCruiseAddicts Oops I forgot to mention, we have an inside cabin on Deck 2, I believe towards the front. My future wife knows the number exactly. Just needed to know how quiet those inside cabins would be. As some folks tend to be a bit noisy at times & not keep their teens & kids behaved.
@MasterSumai congrats on your engagement! If you are near the Family Harbor area there could be kids running around but honestly I wouldn't worry as that can happen on any floor. Just have fun and don't sweat the small stuff and you will have a great time!

Except the elevators!! Is it the only Vista class with the smart elevators? Thanks for the video and have a great day!! 😎👍
LOL - I believe all Vista class has the smart elevators - and they got better as people got used to them. They are just not our favorite at all lol. Thank you for watching!!!
Just got off the Carnival Horizon in early February 2024. Great ship. If you liked the old Carnival Mongolian Grill but hated the long lines then go to JiJi’s at lunch time. They have scaled down the menu and the service is very fast and it’s free at lunch. I also recommend going to JiJi’s at dinner for a totally different experience. The cost per person for dinner at Ji Ji’s was $23 or $24. I can’t quite remember.
Good points covered. Yep, 1st day usually use the back elevator-not as busy.(middle one is for luggage) Also seen people say they have to go to guest services, as their lites aren’t working. (No one tells them that they have to put in a new or old card in the slot) Celeb. always uses F in Miami, if they’re there. Heard you mention ‘cruise funk’ before, what is it?
@@CarnivalCruiseAddicts forgot to ask if you had to do the lineup to have the dog smell your purse & carryons. Found so far, they do that mostly in Miami, & only on Carnival.
First viewer and like. Took trip on Horizon. My wife didn't like it as much as the Carnival Vista. The Vista had better service. I enjoyed playing Table Tennis on the Horizon. Pig and Anchor was good. The Brewery was nice. We had lunch at the Cucina Del Capitano. We never went to as Asian restaurant. My wife and I were disappointed with the service. Especially in the dining room. The smart elevators are good. Just the passengers don't know how to use the elevators. Many people get on then go past their floor. Only used the elevators when with my wife. Otherwise I walk the stairs. It's faster. Loved playing in the casino.

Sailing February 3, 2024 ! Did either of you do the Skybike Ride ? Was your cabin/room noisy at all ?

Cruise funk is covid lol. 2nd time we got on Horizon!

@michaelz4844 we stopped with the boosters this year but had it last year and still got it. Oh well we are fine 🙂

@michaelz4844 last cruise out of miami...they didn't have the dog line up for Horizon. The dog was busy being pet by the handler.

Nice review. We all have different opinions, but the Horizon is our favorite ship. We are sailing her again in 2025.
