All the videos I have seen spends 5 - 10 min explaining how good and how cool Immich is (instead of just saying its a google photo alternative and get into the subject) and the real information that we need as a STEP BY STEP tutorials for complete newbie is never covered. Please can you go to a brand new computer where you have NOTHING of your apps and setting installed and try to set up immicher while recording. Ever without explaining at least we will see the process. I dont want to sound rude, so thank you very much, but your tutorial is basicly the same complecated stuff on immich website that a normal user like me with zero coding background CAN NOT understand. Thanks, and I hope you help us and help me a complete newbie, big thanks for your efforts!

I will reply to your comment in the coming weeks when I get round to this. Thanks for watching. in the meantime I suggest watching the following videos on my channel which will basicaly get you the same result. On my channel watch How to install Docker, Then watch Install Dockge and finally come back to this immich video. These 3 videos are exactly the order of which I would edit a new video to do what your asking. The majority work on your side is simply copying and pasting so this should work for you.
@@KLTechVideos You lost me at dockage... I got docker for Windows. your tutorial just says open firefox then go to dockage... like how? maybe if your screen recording wasn't zoomed in, I could see the url and deduce the answer.
thanks for all the videos on your channel! mainly for the fact that it's for windows! most of the similar videos are for unix based systems, raspberry PIs etc. which in my case is not very helpful. so keep up the good work!
help how to add external library on windows? i try to add path: D:\PC\Pictures\ but it says Warning - 1 path failed validation i wanted to add location of my photos i currently have or just add external drive photos like disk F:\ is not possible on windows?

Hi, very new to this. I just set everything up thanks to this video. Do I need to keep the dockage and immich tabs open 24/7 on my browser? just wondering. Also what will happen if I put my desktop to sleep or shut it down? What are the precautions I need to take for that? Thanks again for a very easy to understand video!
Hi you will need to keep the machine docker is installed on, turned on 24/7 to access immich 24/7. If the computer is turned off that's running docker/immich then you won't be able to access it. Also you don't need to keep tabs open in the browser as Dockge and other containers such as immich run in the background in docker. 👍 Hope that helps. thanks for watching my video and your positive comments. video is awesome but I am running into trouble when trying to configure hardware accel and machine learning. When I uncomment sections as instructed im getting the following error "nested mappings are not allowed in compact mappings". I'm sure i'm making a noob mistake, but any help would be appreciated

@@KLTechVideos I ended up just doing everything without using dockge and just used Docker Desktop and now it works as intended. Thanks for get back to me though!
I do believe it's just added to the archive but I'm not 100% sure. Best thing to do because I change a lot of settings is to delete an insignificant image or a test image then try to locate that on the server. Safest bet. Thanks for watching and please subscribe.

Not sure why but every time docker restarts immich resets and all of my photos aren't in immich anymore.

Nice man! If i delete an image in the app is it also deleted in the server?
