Was up Eiffel Tower Thursday after visiting the Louvre Museum. Been through the Colosseum. Near Edinburgh Castle, Berlin, Barcelona, Tower Bridge & lots more places
I have been to 4/10 destinations so far at the age of 27. I hope i will have a chance to see all of them soon :) especially Edinburg, which looks stunning whenever I see anything about this city. 😊
Wonderful list. Been to all of them except the Acropolis and the Edinburgh Castle. For the 8/10 landmarks that I have visited, you can enjoy them (in some way or another) for free.
I’ve been to the Colosseum, and it was amazing! It feels like I walked back in time. I don’t understand how the Vatican isn’t on this list? I’ve also been to the Sistine Chapel and St. Peter’s Basilica. It was one of the most beautiful, magnificent, awe-inspiring places I’ve ever been to!
Hmm. The Leaning Tower of Pisa. Milan Cathedral, St. Peter's Basilica, the Louvre, the Little Mermaid. Alhambra. Buckingham Palace. Big Ben. Trafalgar Square, Notre Dame de Paris, the Bridge of Sighs, St. Stephen's Cathedral, Red Square, St. Basil's Cathedral, the Giralda of Seville, Arc de Triomphe, Brussels Square, Cologne Cathedral, Spanish Steps and many, many more.
Sagrada Familia a impresive cathedral masterpiece designed by Gaudi visionary genious with 7 creations Unesco site; in the list Cathedral- Mosque of Cordoba or Alhambra and fairy tale castle the Alcazar of Segovia👍
Yesss …Feeling so lucky I have been visited 7 of 10 these landmarks. These 3 landmarks that I have never seen yet : Edinburg castle, tower bridge London and sagrava familia Barcelona . But soon I will see all 💃.
I have been to 7/10 and will be visiting the Atomium so soon to be 8/10! :) Gotta plan out trips to the final 2/10 on this list for me haha (I love travel)!
9/10, but they made sure to have a "diversified" list. One could list Venice, Versailles, Mount St. Michel or the Alhambra above Edinburgh Castle or the Brandenburg Gate ...
Or one of the many central European castles like Neuschwanstein or Hohenzollern, the cathedral in Köln or Milano, St Petersburg, or some "eastern" European sights like the Hungarian Parliament Palace, Bulgaria's National Palace of Culture, Golubac Fortress, Ostrog Monastery, Dubrovnik, Castle Kruja, Romania's Palace of Parliament, etc. But I think they made a good list nonetheless.
The Brandenburg Gate honestly doesn't even belong in the top 100 list. It's a laughably small and unimpressive monument. When I saw it, I could not believe my own eyes because it was so underwhelming. Yes, the Gate is historically significant -- but Europe isn't exactly lacking in historically significant attractions.
Just four I have not visited which are the Hagia Sophia and the Atomium which will likely remain that way plus the Charles Bridge and the Acropolis which I had booked to visit but unfortunately Coronovirus came along and the flights were cancelled several times. Personally I believe absorbing the general culture is more satisfying than famous tourist landmarks.
I’ve been to 7/10 2. Colosseum 3. Hagia Sofia 5. Charles Bridge 7. Sagrada Familia (i’d argue the Alhambra is more iconic haha) 8. Tower Bridge 9. Eiffel Tower 10. Atomium
I visited the Sagrada Familia in 1992. They have built a LOT more since then. As I understand it, it is only built with private donations so the work has been at a standstill for many years. Internet might have made it easier to donate. I also visited the wonderful, rebuilt, Frauenkirche in Dresden, which followed the same rules and was completely rebuilt in 14 years. Either the Germans are richer, more efficient or both....
The Charles bridge and Edinburgh Castleay be iconic to the cities , but they are nowhere universally recognisable . The bridge and the castle could be almost anywhere in Central Europe or the British Isles. Compare that with truy iconic landmarks like : Rialto Bridge Venice ; Amsterdam canals; Dutch Windmills at Kinderdijk; Basil Basilique/Red Square Moscow ( may be not the most popular destination, but iconic!); Little Mermaid statue Copenhagen. These are way more instantly recognizable !
As French. 4:26 This is quite wrong. Our Eiffel Tower was built in 1889 for Universal Exposition (some sort of competition for the Nobel Prize some kind) Not for commemorate the French Revolution 1789-1794 which is actually"July 14th" (celebrating the End of French Old Regim which the French Monarchy and the Beginning of the 1st French Republic) ⬜🟦⚜️🟦⬜
You are right, the Eiffel Tower wasn't a direct commemoration of the French Revolution of 1789, but as the official website notes, on "the date that marked the 100th anniversary of the French Revolution".
Well, if it is a list by popularity, Eiffel tower is as popular as Hagia Sophia I think even though I'm from Turkey. At least Eiffel Tower hits Brandenburg Gate or Charles Bridge.
That's not Hagia Sophia! The footage shown as Hagia Sophia's inside is actually Blue Mosque. They have mixed the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophie and show as they the same! Such a failure!
Meh list. Edinburg castle? Two bridges and a gate? :D Sagrada familia instead of like Köln Cathedral? Finally Turkey is west Asia "with 3-4% in Europe" kind of thing; still Asia.
Been to all of them except the Acropololis! It is one of the list!
that's some doing that - well done.
A great list of the popular sights of Europe.
I appreciate that you used footage filled with crowds and buskers. People need to be prepared for all that, too
*Been to all 10 in the list. Good video.*

Edinburgh is amazing - a great goal to word towards
Been to all, Acropolis is the most recent one from th elist which I did last year

Of course!
I have been only at Acropolis ... it's fascinating ❤
9/10. Eiffel Tower missing. Sagrada Familia with no doubt most amazing one.
Sagrada Familia a impresive cathedral masterpiece designed by Gaudi visionary genious with 7 creations Unesco site; in the list Cathedral- Mosque of Cordoba or Alhambra and fairy tale castle the Alcazar of Segovia👍
4, though I have never actully been on Tower Bridge. I have seen it from the Tower of London, which I consider a greater attraction than the bridge.
Been to all of them ✅ 😎
9/10 and hopefully I'll get to see the Hagia Sophia next year
Eiffel, colloseum, Brandenburger tor, sagrada and Towr bridge. Missing 5 of them. 🙏🙏🙏
Yesss …Feeling so lucky I have been visited 7 of 10 these landmarks. These 3 landmarks that I have never seen yet : Edinburg castle, tower bridge London and sagrava familia Barcelona . But soon I will see all 💃.
Charles Bridge has nothing to do that list. I would say that Saint Basil's Cathedral should be the list instead.
Not bad I’ve done 7/10 aged 39! I Hope to do Brussels, Rome and Prague soon! ❤️🇬🇧❤️
I have been to 7/10 and will be visiting the Atomium so soon to be 8/10! :) Gotta plan out trips to the final 2/10 on this list for me haha (I love travel)!
How about Cologne Cathedral or Grachten in Amsterdam?
10. Acropolis, Greece
9. Colosseum, Italy
8. Hagia Sophia, Rome
7. Edinburg castle, Scotland
6. Charles bridge, Czech
5. Brandenburg, German
4. Sagrada, Barcelona Spain
3. Tower bridge, London
2. Eiffel tower, Paris France
1. Atomium, Brussels Belgium
Hagia Sophia - turkey
good!!,!!!,!!!

I Visited 8 of 10 but next month I'll be in Edinburgh and London.
Seriously Atomium?!
Schönbrunn palace, Hungarian Parlament, Alhambra, Sintra, Neuschwanstein Castle, Mont Saint Michel, Stonehenge are far better!
Just four I have not visited which are the Hagia Sophia and the Atomium which will likely remain that way plus the Charles Bridge and the Acropolis which I had booked to visit but unfortunately Coronovirus came along and the flights were cancelled several times.

Atomium over Hungarian parlament , Milano duomo or Kolner dom :D really funny
By September I will have visited all of those sights 🎉
Farewell.
4/10, will visit 2 of the cities soon though so it’ll be 6/10!
Roma is just magnificent ❤
Would have to agree with that.
9/10 😀
Santiagos Cathedral should be on the list, as a final stop of Saint James way!
I’ve been to 7/10
2. Colosseum
3. Hagia Sofia
5. Charles Bridge
7. Sagrada Familia (i’d argue the Alhambra is more iconic haha)
8. Tower Bridge
9. Eiffel Tower
10. Atomium
Great list - I’ve only been to 6/10 but they’re all pretty spectacular in their own way.
8/10, but you had better do the next 10!

Been to Acropolis twice.

Hagia sophia but showing other mousques nice one 😂
No European thinks that Turkey is in Europe. And no Turk will say that he is European.
yet Istanbul is in Europe :X
I have been to all 😊
Wow!!!
Ive been to 8. Missing the Hagia Sophia and Sagrada Familia. Not bad for a guy from the US.
Really not bad at all. 🙃 Greetings to the US.
Which witch watches which Swatch watch?

@@DWTravel The official website notes is wrong 😆
The exposition was indeed 100 years later and it became symbolic. Eiffel tower in itself was not dedicated to it, but the whole exposition was.
it is not from hagia sophia, the scene that claimed it is from inside of hagia sophia
You made a spelling mistake it should be which not wich
Never heard of #10
6/10. Not great, not terrible.
9/10 Parthenon is the one that I still have not visited
Alhambra?
4/10 by 21 hope ro make it to 5/10 by 22.
Good luck!

Ooops! Fixed.
1:35 - It is not Hagia Sophia 1:38 - it is not the interior of Hagia Sophia
Which*
8/10 not so bad
5/10.. 5 to Go! Not bad number being Indian :) lol
I saw them all but I live in Europe. So maybe it's not that great achievement.
8/10
Well, if it is a list by popularity, Eiffel tower is as popular as Hagia Sophia I think even though I'm from Turkey. At least Eiffel Tower hits Brandenburg Gate or Charles Bridge.
All of them😆
Half of the footage dedicated to Hagia Sofia does not represent Hagia Sophia. DW should know better
I think Big Ben is also a good contender for the top English icon.
5/10
I don't think the Edinburgh Castle and the Atomium are that iconic. I would include the Tower of Pisa and the Big Ben instead.
That's not Hagia Sophia! The footage shown as Hagia Sophia's inside is actually Blue Mosque. They have mixed the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophie and show as they the same! Such a failure!
Tendentiell einfach nicht nach Brüssel gehen, macht man nix falsch lol
Turkey converted it to a mosque what a shame and blind move 😢
There should be part 1, 2,3,4,5 etc... Europe goes beyond western europe DW
Turkey is not in Europe!!!
Yes it is and not even only Hagia Sofia (Ayasofya), much more than that.
But the Hagia Sofia is
They forgot my crotch on the list...
Meh list. Edinburg castle? Two bridges and a gate? :D Sagrada familia instead of like Köln Cathedral? Finally Turkey is west Asia "with 3-4% in Europe" kind of thing; still Asia.
Hagia Sophia is in the European continent of Turkey.
Istanbul in europe
@@LAmusic2023 no,.....only a very very small part of Istanbul is in Europe
@@marcsteppi2192 75% population in Europe
Turkey may not be in Europe, but Hagia Sofia is certainly in the European side of Istanbul
I'd rather have the colloseum, acropolis, brandenburg gate etc. on the EURO notes, than those fake non existant things
Forgot to add Auschwitz...
Errrrmmm😅 spell check guys🤦
No money
I’d skip all those for a few extra days in Lauterbrunnen valley any day.
