Where can I buy the tactical wife beater? Is there a beer stain camouflage available in case I have to navigate the ghetto en route to extraction back to the farm?
Reno, I love your stuff. Just as an aside - I made my own Hunter Constantine belt, purchased material off Amazon - sewed it up myself. Funny enough, I used a thin metal ruler and some plastic strapping to reinforce the appendix position. I made 3 versions out of the material I purchased for $20. Let me say - that design is AWESOME - I just stole it and made some modifications. I plan on making 2 of my friends a belt as well. It is a great design, but with a few dollars worth of material - one can be made yourself. I didn't use anything fancy, hand stitched - all in all about 2 hours worth of work. I love it.
You introduced me to the philster enigma and to be honest I can't be more thankful. For deep concealment, and working almost exclusively in non permissive environments / high heat.. its made true every day carry life possible for me. That said I shelled out some extra $$ for accessories 😂 gunzee pad, levo designs papooose, and enigmod elastic leg leash from rego concepts. Not budget friendly but it carries damn well, I do 10-15 mile hikes a few days a week, and carry in weight room etc its always comfortably on me with fast draw access. Definitely took time to dial in and adjust to fit me perfectly, but was worth it in the end imho. Thanks again! Also thanks for all the good work sharing good info and pushing good laws/fighting the good fights in court
great points and very true. over the years ive gotten over a dozen different holsters to try different styles and carry methods out. you have to play around with things and not be afraid to adjust it to your liking so it fits your body. also sometimes your body changes and you gain or lose weight so your carry methods might have to adjust to keep up.
and same with the belts. have probably 5 or 6 different belt types. my favorite is the low profile nylon style velcro with infinite adjustment for precise fit. i think its called a blue alpha gear.
No one wants to hear it, but losing weight and not being a fatty helps so much. I lost near 40 pounds and the gun basically "disappears" now with a good holster and belt as you say even in AIWB.
I carry a subcompact inside of a very cheap desantis holster on my appendix. Im 6 foot flat weigh 165 - 170 lb ~ 10-15% body fat. Im very skinny, train calisthenics/muay thai and practice yoga for flexibility so i can perform my outdoor manual labour job effectively. Everything this man said is valid, even if you have the "ideal physic" for appendix carry having a quality holster and a pant/belt combination will make more of a difference than most would assume.
Gunzee dense foam pads you can cut to custom shape and velcro to the holster and a tear drop foam pad have been an absolute game changer combo for me. Have the Gunzee up high enough to slightly ride above your pistol and canted snough to cover the optic and you can clvery comfortably apendix carry all day bending, lifting, running, driving getting in n outta vehicles, clombing no issues at all. I've tried all of their models as I became a product tester when they first started the business and my pad 1st gen pad only kasted bout a year. I sent an email tellin em how it broke down over time and they asked if I'd like to test some improvements they had in the works and that they were a brand new company. Super chill cat's and ive tested 3 new generation's and absolutely love the newest 'Heavy Duty' line which stands to my 16+ hr a day wear abuse. Gets wet, best up, bending n flexing all day and this model has been a straight perfect trooper, can't recommend considering them enough. They are successful enough We The People holsters have now tried to copy similar design 😂. I've ewuiped with a slightly chunky tactical tummy as they say 😂 so i can attest to real all day comfort. But i prefer a LAs Concealment: Shogun holster very slim n streamlined and a pair of separate mag carriers, nothing gonna ve more comfy over time that for movement all day. I do have an LAS side car rig which I can comfortably carry a comp sized g35 w/tlr1 for around town and light activity but a separate holster w/carriers cant be beat for heavy activity being very mobile. 2 Discrete Carry clips on the holster adjusted properly for a full purchase notta damn monoblock to keep it where you want it is key. Monoblocks for the carriers are great. Qore Proformance plate carrier shoulder pads are perfect for your belt if you prefer ratcheting belts like Nexbelt or Kore Essentials like i do for those hot spots on your hips. Figured a guy who DOESN'T look like The May should chime in with a solid option thats worked long term for comfort...since lets be real I bet maybe 2 outta 10 of us look like Reno currently 😂. Lost 40lbs but still gettin at it so in the mean time use those damn pads they work 😂.
Excellent coverage. I was most unfortunately born 'pigeon breasted', as in I have little to no chest protruding out in front of my abdomen. I'm also 64 with many injuries from my youth, so I'm a bit plump around the middle, too. This makes carrying in the front of my body almost impossible. I have found that I can fit a tiny Canik MC9, even with an M01 sight installed, using a specific holster, in the appendix position, and still sit, drive, etc. and remain concealed effectively. So far, that's it.
next time you're at the grocery store, take little random looks at other people and guess who may, or may not be carrying concealed. That will tell you how other's don't really notice you're carrying either. Even if you have a 3'oclock print from the back of the slide, most people won't automatically assume it's a gun. I may or may not have accidentally walked into some places that prohibit firearms, and nobody noticed at all, and I carry in a way that typically prints at least a little bit.
I use the next belt made specifically for appendix carry. One push of a button, I can tighten or loosen the belt. It's stiff all the way around. I have two for work and one for out and about. My out and about next belt is the poetic version and has a cross on the buckle instead of an "n". The best belt I have ever owned.
I carry a Canik Mete Sft pro in a tier 1 concealed MSP flex (appendix) with a kore essentials belt. Went through a whole lot of figuring out the best height for comfort. Lots of bending, running and moving around before I found the right adjustments. Awesome video!!
Thanks for sharing. You had excellent points. Could you please share what pants you are wearing? They look like they fit great. I want to try them out.
As a lefty, I always have issues with the belt and pants material. It’s always doubled up right where I put my holster. PITA. Need to find a belt that eliminates that issue.
🤪 I'm used to my shoulder harness, especially during intimate moments. My only gripe is maneuvering around the index holster which my significant other perfers... Just saying... 😊
I'm a KORE and HC belt guy too! I'm 6'2" 185lbs with no chest and a raging case of anterior pelvic tilt. A shirt with buttons works, but not a tee, unless I carry a micro-compact. Good info!
Jeans belt and no holster is the most comfortable way to appendix carry in my opinion. Only downside is i dont keep one in the head if i dont have a holster. Im a tall guy so my pockets are usually pretty big. Pocket carry with a holster and a mag in the waistband gives me the most confidence. Someone should make a holster with a strong toothed clip that clamps on to the inside of your pocket that would be dope.
Carrying appendix will really push you to lose that dad bod/beer gut. That's the biggest thing I struggle with as far as concealment right now. I'd totally be down for some Reno gym tips by the way!
Drove 32 hours total back and forth from Cali to Colorado with a Tier 1 with sidecar attachment in appendix without any issues. It’s all about the holster and placement on your own body. I have a holster mounted but only use that if I go off road for an extended period of time and I’m bouncing around.
@@farklestaxbaum4945 ok fud. I’m not you. I don’t need to lie on the internet to impress complete strangers. You probably let your boyfriend hold yours in his purse while he drives you around.
I enjoy appendix carrying a 92FS, did it for years as a EDC. Last three years I been cross draw carrying more with my 92fs and da/SA 357 wheelgun cause I drive often.
Thanks for the video. I find the Groove life belt not good for carrying a firearm because the adjustment process is very difficult to do it quickly , I had one and hated it so much I gave it away to a buddy of mine he pocket carries one LCP max and another one on the ankle, he doesn’t carry anything bigger than 38 snub-nose.
No Matter what body type one has. Appendix carry is never comfortable when sitting. It's the most effective way to conceal but trying to sell folks on it's comfort while sitting is similar to telling someone who doesn't like liver, it's an acquired Tast.
I've tried it with over a dozen guns when I was Fit, skinny and fat, it was NEVER doable sitting, and I have to sit in my car so it was not possible. I get that its fast and can be concealable, but it really only a good option for people who 1. never sit down 2. their job is to carry a gun
Switched to AIWB 8 years ago after training over and over and never switched. It's in good holster, always holster cautiously and it keeps me maintain my weight. When i feel my pants start to feel snug when I'm carrying, i watch what i eat more, exercise a little more, snugness goes away. Only way the gun would go off is if I'm being stupid and don't make sure the holster is clear.. again don't rush holstering.
Hi Reno, just wanted say I had one one goal for the year, that was to get my gun rights back, I’m happy to report I accomplished that just a few weeks back. That being said I just don’t think I could walk around with a gun pointed at my stuff, plus I’m a tad chubby. Looks like my next goal is to lose the weight and figure out the best way to carry.
As a chubby guy, I've found that holsters that cover the rear sights makes appendix carry much easier. Getting poked by rear sights in the gut is not pleasant
I run the same belt and holster. I have some tier 1 holsters also. That belt changed my carry life. I can easily hide full sized guns comfortably with that belt and a tier 1 axis elite.
I had a Tier-1 appendix holster, but as a short waisted man, the thing dug into my pelvic bone every time I bent over, and that was with a sub compact XD- 40. I never could find a comfortable position to wear it. I eventually switched to an Sig P365, although I would love to conceal a full size handgun. It’ll probably have to be OWB.
I carry my spare mag and flashlight in a utility tool outside waistband holster. It fits a mag and flashlight perfect, it's still enclosed and it's one less thing digging inside my waistband
wearing Levi's 502's, I can fit a Springfield XDs Mod.2 with a Holo-sun optic, in my front pocket, with a pocket holster. It prints, but with a jacket or long shirt, no one ever notices.
Beer belly and I carry aiwb. It takes good belt and holster. Check out fat man deep undercover tuck holster from north coast tactical. Thank me later. I have that holster and raptor from trex as well. I kinda prefer trex over anything even tier1 but it just need small wedge for better comfortable while sitting down with beer belly/dad body
Appendix carry works good for a bodyguard, undercover cop, gun store employee or Instagram. For average people who have normal jobs its not doable. I have tried it with over a dozen guns, over a dozen holster brands, 6-8 different belts. I'm 6ft tall and I've tried it when I was borderline underweight at 158lbs, muscular with a 6 pack at 173lbs and overweight at 200lbs. It was NEVER comfortable to sit/ drive/ move around. If you have an office job where you're sitting most of the day its terrible and actually less accessible than a belt holster. If you have a blue collar job where you are moving around its not possible. It is only tenable for people whos job is based around having a gun, or influencers making up stuff online.
thanks to your enigma video, i did not buy it haha but i did buy the belt you have here and i love it i have the same trexarms holster but upgraded the clips to the metal ones, i forget the name. good set up, i can wear it to the gym with sweat pants
Mastermind king pillow + Hunter Constantine Carry belt + tenicor certum 2. You don’t have to do any special technique to stand, sit, kneel. You just sit lol. Best thing I ever did was drop the sidecars out of rotation.
@@johnniewasr5740 I don’t use anything special. I started years ago moving my leather belt holster to the left appendix side (right-hand draw) because the gun was getting in my way as I worked around my cabin in CO. I was carrying an S&W 45 Colt Mtn Gun and was always banging or snagging the gun when it was on my right hip. The cross draw turned out to be a very quick and easy draw and was out of the way. Now, on my prairie property, I carry a 22-mag Super Wrangler, and when driving or everyday carry, a Colt 45 Auto, and use a traditional cross draw made by Azula. Mine have been well made, inexpensive, and have held up very well. And, the firearms don’t point at my crotch.

Glock 19 is classified as a compact. My PX4 Compact is about the same dimensions but a little chunkier.
Good video 💯
Nice gains bro 👍🏻
BRIAN FOR PRESIDENT!!!
What’s the best conceal carry holster? I have a hell cat pro so something for that
I had a Tier-1 appendix holster, but as a short waisted man, the thing dug into my pelvic bone every time I bent over, and that was with a sub compact XD- 40.
Thanks for the good feedback! Can you share links for the holster and belt, thx Reno

Good video bro! I'm a big fan of Kore. I actually made a video about the Groove Life calling it the worst gun belt made..lol.
I liked the groove life lol. I was fully expecting to hate it
Thanks for this! Been messing with mine for months now
Being small with a G19 edc has been a challenge
Hey Reno great vid! Can you tell who made that holster?
pretty much have same setup, different pew, but love that HC belt.
wearing Levi's 502's, I can fit a Springfield XDs Mod.2 with a Holo-sun optic, in my front pocket, with a pocket holster. It prints, but with a jacket or long shirt, no one ever notices.
Best carry belt ever made!
Dude getting buff
Good info
thanks to your enigma video, i did not buy it haha
but i did buy the belt you have here and i love it
i have the same trexarms holster but upgraded the clips to the metal ones, i forget the name.
good set up, i can wear it to the gym with sweat pants
Mastermind king pillow + Hunter Constantine Carry belt + tenicor certum 2. You don’t have to do any special technique to stand, sit, kneel. You just sit lol. Best thing I ever did was drop the sidecars out of rotation.
great breakdown Reno btw what pants are you wearing? Have you tried the mastermind tactics pillow wedge and if so do you like it?
Pants are the covert pants by barbell apparel. Linked in pinned comment.
Have not used the pillow and haven’t felt a need to yet
I just pull my pants up a bit and sit down. But youre right about the barrel end and hip location.
Great dissertation. I carry crossdraw as it's easier for me to get to, but harder to conceal.
What holster do you use for crossdraw?
Using a Hunter Constantine Belt is the move, I wouldnt consider any other EDC belt.
I just palm the mag and give it a slight push outward as I'm transitioning to the seated position. It's a quick sleight of hand move
I’ve tried it all and the iwb on the side is the only one for me. If it’s not comfortable 99.8% of the time the you won’t carry it.
As soon as I get your 26” waist, I’m getting that holster. BTW, what holster is it?
I wear 34” waist pants but am more of a 32” waist. I have to size up so my legs fit in pants.
Trex sidecar
Off topic, but how do you like the trex holster? Thinking of picking one up when I get my p365 tacops this week🤔
For more fit ppl it works great for anyone who is on the heavier side or has a gut it’s very hard to carry appendix
