There's a reason only the so-called, "hitmen," and Magbanua have been charged with Dan's murder. Whatever the motive and whomever paid them, it's been established sufficiently enough that it was tney who most directly caused his death, out of all the potential players involved.
But, one guy has already flipped on the others, made a deal with the Prosecutors and has traded his testimony for less prison time, which led to one conviction, in this case so far.
There's still the outstanding matter of the middle-man (or "woman") Magbanua, and whomever paid her to hire her baby daddy and his buddy to kill Dan. And, like I said, before they can proceed with indictments for Wendi's family, or Wendi herself, if they plan on being successful they're going to have to make their case as air-tight as possible.
Anything less would be a waste of time.

Because there's a jury of 12. It only takes 1 juror to not believe the case is proven or to feel sorry for Kaddie being there rather than the Adelsons and Kaddie can be acquitted. Until she's convicted and facing the death penalty or a long sentence, she can wait to see what the jury decides. After that she can still flip and rat out the Adelsons in exchange for leniency.

They have enhanced some audio from his conversation with Katie from 2016. You just don’t know about people. My husband and I are still in shock.
