Man I would love to hire you to come fix my drive! We have multiple inclines and declines with a mix of soil types underneath. It's just a total headache, and I'm tired of adding rock, but it's also too expensive for me to afford paving right now. Plus I love the aesthetic of gravel leading up to my hilltop! If you work in the North Georgia area, I could give you some great content for the channel!
nice work! i noticed the roller was being used in the middle of the road, do you typically run the roller on one side of the road or the other to keep the crown? also, when the road turns do you prefer to bank the road instead of crowning? thanks man! super cool to see your son learning!!!
@@graveldrivewayrecovery okay, thanks...do you find the Crushed is better than a standard 3/4" Base course? Crushed seems to be almost double the price...
@@graveldrivewayrecovery possible I can do milled asphalt and seal it? Some base under it? Fabric? Thanks! Been watching all your videos on repeat, hope it helps the algorithms
That was a very difficult driveway if I say so, some tight low spots, very narrow, and having a deep ditch in places also makes for a touchy gravel spread, truck gets in there its a messy fix up for sure. I have an old Essick VR6400 vibrio smooth drum pull behind packer that I use on the skid steer weights about 3 tons and rolls like nothing else, just have to never stop in one place and forget to stop the vibration or its stuck for sure 🙄. Great job on that driveway 👍🏻
Like driveway repairs and refreshes! Fascinating to watch the many processee and attachments!
Thanks for watching!

Looking great! Cool that your 15 year old son can operate like he does…😀
I know!! Thanks!
Hey friend! See you on this channel too!
@@aaronburford5701 yup, checking out the videos here too…😀
@@tristardiggin cool! Likewise.... Enjoy the weekend!
More kids should be operating equipment instead of being inside on their phones.
Why does the crusher work better on top vs below the gravel?
nice work!

We will roll down both sides and the middle. The pitch or crown depends on the situation. Thanks for your feedback!
been watching lots of your videos...great stuff!! how many inches of that crushed w/ fines do yall recommend?
Thanks for watching! We do a minimum of three inches.

@@JohnnyLazear Our crushed has various aggregate up to about 1 inch. It is the cheapest grade available in our area.
What is the brand of skid steer roller do you use? Have you had issues with it?
MBW. No problems. Thanks for watching!
Would you recommend fabric for a driveway like this?
It depends if there is enougb aggregate. We will typically put down fabric on native soil.
@@graveldrivewayrecovery if I have a steep driveway (10-15° slope) @550’ foothills of CA; what would you recommend?
Pave it. 30% grade is going to be hard to maintain.
