To work at sea, we need extreme hard work and experience. Unfortunately, I dont have any experience, working at sea. Still I think, you can mark the elbow center, using a right angle and a measuring tape. Am I right?
Hey mate. Just lie the elbow on a flat plate and use a 90° square up against the ebow and measure from that.

Diameter is 406mm. Multiply by 3.14 for the circumference(1274.8mm). Divide by 8. Gives you the 159 mm.
If degree is negetive then?
