I love the excitement when you catch a sheepshead! Also the chill music in the background really added to the vibes, this was a nice morning vid to watch
I've been hesitant on those crab imitations. It's too easy to gather crabs behind AC. Flipping rocks at low tide I get enough for a few trips usually in about 20 minutes. I will say being stuck in a frozen Philly sucks 😂. I was shoveling snow the last 2 days along the Schuylkill and there ain't going to be much fishing for a few weeks with how the river is running. We've been dumped on with so much rain and now snow and this week is all rain again. I'm curious to see how it effects the spring fishing. We haven't had snow or much precipitation the last few years so spring early summer maybe funky. Good stuff brother
Ahhh stay warm up there!! I use to love to ice fish or trout fish in the wild trout streams up north this time of year. Usually around north Jersey. Which isn’t to far from Philly so maybe take a day to adventure up there. Round Valley Reservoir can be hot this time of year for trout.
Hahaha I have had a lot of Shark experiences now so it’s normal for me. I’ve even had them bite my kayak rudder twice in a row. Wish I caught that on film.
Awesome video per usually, never seen a crab lure surprisingly. Just had the longest week of my life but so happy I can finally relax with this one, thanks Rich!
I think it’s wild how you catch pompano in the river like that, here on the coast of North Carolina, they’re primarily caught from the beach in the surf one of my favorite fish to eat for sure
Hey. A nice pompano is a prize up here on the Lowcountry coast of SC. In all my years (many) I've never 'bled out' a fish. Seen others do it. Question: in your opinion, does it make a difference when it's time to cook them? Back to your video - winter daydreaming of summer pompano.
Go to google and look up difference between bleeding fish and not bleeding a fish and you will see the difference. It also helps with making sure the bloodlines are not thick and you dont taste as much fishy.
good to know how you feel about the sharks. also i want toget a fish finder i see you have a lillte one on your kayak. what do think does it work for you or should i get bigger ? thanks bruce
Newbie here, how does one go about finding a spot like that? What i mean is ,an area where there are oyster beds underneath. Is that through a fishfinder? Google maps? How deep are you? Fascinating stuff. Ive learned alot from you. Thanks alot
What bridge are you fishing? You're in my local area, I live in Stuart, and I can't seem to figure out which bridge you're at and it's driving me nuts 🤣
FYI Your trap is upside down. Your bait door needs to be on the bottom. Other wise crab will be able to get to the bait without having to enter the trap.
Personally speaking, I haven't seen to the video yet, but I wanted to ask a question and if it gets answered great, if not I guess I'll just wait to see it and hopefully it'll be answered there. I just wanted to know if these things definitely worked well or not? I picked up a pack of them probably a couple months ago and still haven't ventured out to use them. I'm up here in Jacksonville, and it's freezing (by my standards, and I moved here from up north!) so I really haven't had the nerve to go out and try and them yet, but If I see that you had a lot of luck with them then I'll definitely probably go soon, just bundle up a little more If I do so!😅
Hey there! Thanks for the comment and I personally would not rely on a rubber crab in an area I don’t know really well. If I were you. I would keep them always with me as a back up. Just incase if I run out of bait and I’m on a good bite. Then try them. Or once you really figure out a particular spot with bait. Then go another day and try really hard with the rubber crab w/ fish juice or scent. Good luck 👍🏻
Congrats on the wedding rich! God bless you
Thanks so much Mike!!!!
Ive seen a lot of fishers using the rubber crabs lately. Glad to see they work

Thanks so much!! Really glad you enjoyed!

Those soft crab lures are amazing I use them when sheep’s head fishing all the time
Oh really! Glad to hear you have a lot of success!
Love how you are not intimidated by sharks.

Oh Sheshh!!!! I’m very surprised that you caught Pomps in stained water. Great video as always!
Those crablets are like potato chips for fish. 😉
Always great content Rich.
I’m going to have to try those out. Only big blue crabs in my neck of the woods.

Some great action on light tackle! Glad you didn't get sharked.
Haha yeah I was expecting it to happen. It probably would have if I caught a bunch of lady fish.
Rich you have know idea how happy I am when you post
Hahaha thanks so much!!
Live to fish. Fish to live!
As always Rich good job tight lines
Thanks so much!!!
Keeper Sheeper babyyy 😎🤙
Good to know they work pretty good I always wondered.
Yeahhh I think if you use a lot of stink, know the spot really well, and if the fish are hungry. It’ll work.
Very good again! Thanks for video! 😁
Thanks so much!!!
Thats a good lookin box right there.
Haha thanks!!
always wanted to get on a pomp bite ive heard they fight hard for there size and this vid proves it!
Hah ! Catfish like the rubber crab too. I have some for Tog and Sheepshead but haven't tried them yet up here
Hahaha yeah the catfish will eat anything that moves! With a lot of crab juice on it. It will probably work for tog!
Better known as moonfish in your area, Rich.
Nice day of fishin. Cheers
Yeahhh your right. Thanks for watching!!
Dude you crushed the pomp!!
Yeah it was sooo fun!

Do you guys use swivels for sea lures?
do you just use the gorpo mic or a external mic?
Sweet 🤘
Hello, do smoke them or fry them.?
What bridge are you fishing? You're in my local area, I live in Stuart, and I can't seem to figure out which bridge you're at and it's driving me nuts 🤣
Fort pierce
hey rich i dont know when u filmed this video but be careful the bacteria levels are unsafe in the martin area
FYI Your trap is upside down. Your bait door needs to be on the bottom. Other wise crab will be able to get to the bait without having to enter the trap.
Oh wow thanks for tip!!! I’m learning hahaha
Puffers are good to eat too
Yeah, I use to keep the northern puffers up north. But I haven’t around here.

Can you cast a pompano from the edge?
What about the Berkley Gulp Peeler Crabs, has anyone tried them, do they work ? Thanks.
I need to get a crab lure now! Dr Juice link is dead
What shoes are those?
I quit keeping sheepshead in martin county. It didn't matter where I caught them, they all had worms.
Dang none of mine did. But I did catch a wormy one up in Fort Pierce.
Shave that mullet of yeh head pal 😂😂😂❤
stud.
Try casting the pompano from the edge, bro
Which river is that?
St Lucia, I'm guessing.
St Lucie river
♥
man i really need a hobie ... smh...
Dr Juice link does not work
Really sorry. I guess Salt Strong discontinued that deal. I’m really sorry about that.
🧿🧿🧿🙏🙏🙏👍👍👍💪💪💪💪🇹🇷🙋♂️
First!!
The vudu's are great but damn are they expensive and you are lucky to get 2-3 fish without tearing them up. Wish there was a cheaper equivalent.
I think Walmart makes them cheaper now. But the hooks are well. Cheaper.
