I'm Garifuna, and I met Andy in 2007 in Austin, Texas at a music festival, right before he passed away. They allowed me backstage because I shouted a Garifuna word in the audience lol. Very lovely man. R.I.P. my friend. I love this song, it speaks to the soul.

I grew up in a home, where Garifuna was all we were allowed to speak at home. When you speak to an elder, you must speak fluent Garifuna to them.
