Who fancies a ride in my little tank. Rip to all the wonderful Cast members who passed away. You will all be missed. Especially our dear Rene. 🇩🇪🇫🇷🇮🇹🇬🇧
It's such a beautiful tune but it takes me back to being 10 years old on a Saturday evening with beans on toast on my lap in the lounge and all of us laughing....made me weep. Thanks xx
@@oluwatosinoke8309 I was about 8 to 10.....didn't realise all the sexual bits ....as we say in the UK (panto) " bit of blue for the dads!". As a kid I just got the felling that it made my dad laugh so I will also xx
I had no idea Gordon Kaye had died. That news brought a tear to my eye. I remember watching this show during the 80s, when my Grandma and Grandad would babysit for me. I would sit on the sofa and watch this with them. They would put their arms around me, and would tell me stories about the war while we watched. When the end credits rolled, I would feel so safe and loved. I can't listen to this music without tearing up. They've been gone a long time. I miss them.
Sadly so many of the cast have now left us......The wonderful Rose Hill (Madame Fanny) died aged 89 in 2003. Kenneth Connor passed in 1993. Carmen Silvera (Madame Edith) died in 2002, Robin Parkinson, the original "Monsieur Ernest Leclerc" died aged 92 in May of 2022. I could go on but I won't because it sadens me...... Thankfully the classic show is still being shown on television in the UK and it still makes us laugh......
*Leesen vury cirefooly...ah sharl zai zis unly wunse* !! This is a spectacular rendition of this theme. Performed with care and professionalism. Well done to all.
Did you say a French cafe? I'm thinking of a Parisian sidewalk cafe at sunrise or Sunset, with wine, a crusty loaf, cheese, grapes...andan accordion player passes by, playing this same wistful tune. And I have tears in my eyes...
No no no! It’s wallowing down a dusty country lane on a creaky old bike, somewhere in northern France on a late summer’s Sunday evening, thankful to be out of the hedgerows where there were too many bees and butterflies and looking ahead to the open fields
I have tears in my eyes. It is not the original theme, of course; but this sensitive interpretation by a HIGH SCHOOL ORCHESTRA leaves me speechless, especially as this was an extended interpretation of the original theme. Listening to it can still cause one to close their eyes and be transported back to that sidewalk cafe in Paris, maybe imaginatively drinking coffee there on a sunny day in the 1940s…
I grew up being awed by Allo Allo's theme song. It is one of the best compositions in modern times. This rendition is good. However I thought it was a little too fast at the beginning, even though it is obvious that variations in tempo was intended.
Great fantastic!!! liked the Horn player slurring those notes, and of course the great sound. The blend of the Harmonica with the Orchestra is gorgeous and the fabulous sound from the brass section.
Greetings Zevnikov Just had to mention the sound of the Eb Tuba, one can hear the extra low notes especially during the half way point, and with a very symphonic sound, real bliss or utopia, fantastic arrangement by your Conductor, and his expertise has not gone unnoticed. Hvala vam.
I watched the show to be happy and laugh. then i knew half of the cast has passed away and most of them are old made me so depressed. it's one of a kind show. we have never seen something like that and we'll never see. Rest in peace Sir. Gorden
this show always was funny half of the cast now are gone butt the music never die's I always remember the great music it sounds sad. butt also had great sounds long live allo allo always was a great show!
Ok, just a quick mind blowing fact: this is just a high school orchestra. Not a music school, just one of the Slovenian high schools. And they play better than the orchestra of Ljubljana’s Conservatory of Music.
@@PoochiePookie12 Yes, as far as I know it’s also the only (non-musical) high school in the country that has an orchestra. The way music education works here, music is taught in separate music schools. The exception are 4 conservatories in Ljubljana, Maribor, Velenje and Koper. Those of course have their orchestras as they’re music schools. But regular schools don’t do music, this one seems to be an exception.
Listen very carefully, they will play this only once.
I loved this show. Had great affection for all of the characters. Thanks for the laugh, one of the best catch phrases ever.

"You are probably wondering why i am playing an english horn in an orchestra in Slovenia around 22 years into the future"
“Well, I shall tell you, but listen very carefully, for I shall say it only once.”
It's such a beautiful tune but it takes me back to being 10 years old on a Saturday evening with beans on toast on my lap in the lounge and all of us laughing....made me weep. Thanks xx
Me too! 7 years old sat watching it with parents :-)
It was my favourite TV show as a child and I used to stay up till 11pm as an eight year with my dad's permission to watch it.

I used to watch this with my Grandma and Grandad in the 80s when I was a kid. I cry every time. How I miss them.
Me too around 9 years old. Music can be so powerful.
I do not think I will ever get to hear this live
But if I did
It would happen
Only Once
I will say this only once, this is a good rendition of the Allo Allo theme tune. They should play this in loving memory of Gordon Kaye (1941-2017).
Thank you. I dedicated our composition to Gordon Kaye (1941-2017). You can read it in notes under the video!
*Gorden Kaye.
I had many a belly laugh watching you in allo allo, RIP Gordon.

Been listening to this rendition for close to 5 years now. I actually love it more than the original. Masterpiece ✨
This is magic of music...thank you with teardrops in eyes.
What a wonderful tribute to a wonderful theme for a wonderful show - all performed by young people who probably never saw it.

It is I. LeClerc
Fooled me, you master of disguise.
A man of a thousand faces yet all of them are the same
I see he is disguised as an idiot!
Wow....what a fitting tribute to Gordon Kaye....goosebumps
I imagine hearing this music on a Monday morning as I sip coffee and eat croissants in a little cafe in France- nostalgia is a hell of a thing.

Allo 'Allo Theme with Gimnazija Kranj Symphony Orchestra Slovenija
Hello, are we able to use this wonderful composition to promote our amateur showing of Allo Allo. Happy to credit of course!
Many thanks
4 people only listened to this once
“Oh, René!”
I just saw in episode 3 or 4 where Madame Edith is singing and the music is the theme music.
One of my favourite shows, very un PC but very funny.
A nervous french horn, but still a great rendition. René would be proud!

Please rise for the French National Anthem.
