Say what you will but I am going to declare this recording the WINNER, the very best of the very best in tribute to my most favorite Celtic 1st cousin Van. Yes this is rip-roaring, the very best of the best, a most brilliant and the most fantastic rendition of this song. , there is no other recording of this song that is better than this ( Excluding Van The Man Recordings), This is fecking great (very sorry for the swear word) but Bronagh Gallagher singing and the boys playing in the band made me act this way, Great to see Rory Gallagher little sister Bronagh Gallagher giving is plenty of stick, kicks up the dust along the way with her most favorite choice of drinks, so I would ask Bronagh just add on more drink to her list, a large bottle of whiskey that was brewed in the high and wild mountains and deep valleys with water taken from the clear crystal waters of the Lough Corrib, way back west in the hills of Connemara where a man called Dan O Hara lived his young years, This whiskey it is strong enough to cure all ills known to man, kill that bad virus and stop it dead in its tracks with just a whiff, it also wipe most sins of the soul. I have been informed by a totally reliable source that it is Lazarus carries a bottle with him as he goes on his daily works of taking care of the sick and dying. What more could want from Van Morrison music

Very few covers ever equal or better the originals, but this does! And how! Star of Alan Parker's great movie The Commitments too. Shame Sir Alan Parker hadn't lived to hear this!
