I wish more young people understood that you’re not guaranteed time. XQC does not have time, he barely has right now. But what he fails to see, is what he has isn’t quality content, quality money or quality time, which is what Ethan has. So the fact that he keeps bringing up these things, to boost himself, means that even though he thinks he has more money, more time and more content, he’s clearly not happy about some aspect of it, because someone who constantly has to boost something about themself, aren’t as confident about it as they may seem or in XQC’s case, he doesnt even seem like anything than a sad sad guy.

To clarify: Adderall is a habit-forming drug to people who do not have ADHD or people who have it but overdose it.
For people who take it as prescribed, it's grounding and calming.
There's no "tolerance" per se (it lasts about 6 hours in your body and then gets washed out completely) but addicts may feel the need to up the dose for their fix.
as someone with adhd stimulants can be addictive for people with it too, the key is just starting low with the dose and giving yourself time to get used to it because you have to find the correct range. stimulants are absolutely something people with adhd can abuse, a good example is caffeine and nicotine. they’re not meds but people with adhd abuse those frequently

Having or not having the condition has no effect on how addictive it is. When used properly it still can be habit-forming. Youre taking it every day, your body is physically dependent on this medicine to function normally now.
Its a great and helpful drug, changed many lives for the better, but people need to take it more seriously.

Not correct. You don't have to take it every day if you don't want to.
You can skip days, weeks, months.
The drug fully metabolizes within about 6 hours and does not require to be held at a certain level.
A lot of people just choose to take it every day because they feel more functional in their day to day life. Which is not an addiction but an aid.
Overdosing it however can form an addiction.

I think some people with ADHD have a habit forming personality and some people with ADHD just forget to take their meds and literally cannot even form the habit of taking it as prescribed lol. (I’m in the second camp)

Adderall is illegal in South Korea and legal in New Zealand but limited and not prescribed as a first choice. I been taking Ritalin almost every day for 8 months and there’s no reliance, I take a day off it every week and no problems. US sounds too trigger happy with prescription drugs.

@@jaredc5169Hasan sometimes does better reacts. But yes the reason Hasan is defensive about this topic and XQC is because he sometimes just sits watching somebody else's video eating or chilling, and sometimes he leaves videos running to entertain his audience while he is away from the computer.
The issue is that they benefit from being online as long as possible because twitch only promotes your channel if you are live. Rather than risk losing viewers and going down in the rankings they keep broadcasting beyond the time they can create good content and so take other people's work to boost the quality of their streams while they get some down time.
It's unfair on the original creators and it's unfair on their rival streamers.

As someone who takes adderall now but grew up in a household that was against medicating their kids… I’m all for it when it’s necessary. I could hardly connect with my peers because my ADHD was so severe. I still appreciate your perspective and appreciate your disclaimer that you don’t judge people who take adderall as needed. I’ve had friends who abused it and it was hard to watch
I just think the kids should have more of a choice if it's really supposed to be about their fullfillment and not making life easier for other people instead. My step mom would say "did you take your medicine this morning" whenever i got on her nerves which just made it seem like a sedative more than anything. getting off it was what finally allowed me to connect with my peers. I'll now use it for chores, art, sometimes work, but surely not everyday and i will always resent them for prioritizing fucking class work and behavior over my physical development cuz the shit gave me an eating disorder that i have to deal with even without it because my child body grew up with that shit killing my appetite. sometimes i think the adulkts just need to suck it up and let kids be kids. I work in civil engineering now, i taught myself autocad and I do well for myself. it was their educational system that was broken
I took adderall for my ADHD but it never made me act like that, (xqc) with someone with ADHD it calms that person down, XQC, if he is taking adderall it seems recreational (needing it to stream 12 hours etc) instead of using it for it’s intended pharmaceutical purpose which mellows someone which ADHD down.(edit) even on high doses of adderall (90mg) when I abused it I was still more mellow then XQC, also I’ve never built a tolerance for adderall and I took it for 2 years straight, but I was on extended release, also I never had withdraws from it

Hi, could you please offer me any insight into how to best calm someone with ADHD? Someone I love has it severely and doesn't take his meds and is really resistant to treatment, he's really phobic of being "crazy". I'm really kind to him all the time I'm patient I give him alot of understanding but he cant control his anger or impulses, his anger is so out of control and hurtful that I'm mentally ruined from it, and his impulses have led him to do things he regrets. Im a counsellor myself and I have mental health issues myself nearly my whole life so I really do treat him calmly and peacefully always even if he'd extremely angry. I can't get through to him, he knows he's out of control and on the other hand he's really hating the idea of treatment and views it as insulting and he blames me for his actions. I know these aren't predominantly ADHD symptoms and he has an anger issue but his ADHD really does bring him out of control and if there's any suggestions you have on how I can help him please share them. I'm at my wit's end 😢 and I'd never discriminate against him or be cruel to him, I'm his wingwoman in life and support him all I can, but he's not calming at all and his ADHD has become extremely severe 😢 when he took his meds he calmed down so much and I saw the real him, but he doesn't accept any kinda help or treatment and Im his supporter and care for him so much but I can't force him 😢

i take adhd meds bc i have severe adhd and literally couldn’t perform basic things, when i got prescribed them it completely changed my life and i started leading a NORMAL life. Not better than an average persons, but just normal.
I get a lot of shit from pharmacists that think i’m taking it as a drug when it’s literally just a treatment for an illness i have, i don’t take it recreationally for my exams.
If you feel jittery and nervous when you take it it’s literally because you don’t have the illness it’s supposed to treat
I will say as someone who also is medicated for adhd at first I did think I was more anxious on it and then I realised oh my elevated heart rate isn’t anxiety it’s just the fact my meds are stimulants and then when I worked out what my heart was doing all of the feelings of anxiety went bc I knew what the physical sensation was (I don’t easily connect the dots on physical stuff which adhd meds actually help w bc of the fact they’re appetite suppressants as well I can now recognise what I’m actually feeling and eat and sleep regularly) it’s like I’ve never felt a huge Up or even the like zombie state other ppl have said they get on meds it’s only been like oh I feel in control and engaged for once it doesn’t fix me but it certainly makes me feel capable of existing better

I abused adderall before I was prescribed it. Once I was prescribed it I took it as directed. But I still developed such a hard reliance on it that I literally couldn’t do anything without taking it. I had to stop when my husband and I decided to get pregnant, and even though I have ADHD I would rather deal with those issues than go back to being so reliant on adderall. I will never take it again.
