That first round was genuinely terrifying. I'm definitely gonna come back to dbd with this one. From what I gather that's because of an add-on. Should 100% be base kit. It adds so much horror for the survivors
but it buffs the killer in someway cant have that since they must make their overlords happy
This gives to DBD back the Terror it once was when got release. I hope they don't change him.
I don’t think it should be basekit because then it would be old hat quickly
@@jac0ls He's a pretty strong killer that can teleport and he has anti loop of course they will change him and not for the better. They constantly cuck the killers in this game.
@@fearlessjs18 But i mean, this killers still very weak against transition kites. If he leaves a fog, run to the next pallet area and lock any lockers you come across, the dreads not that hard to kite. Just hope the devs are aware of that.

While true... he also had the unfortunate luck of "I'm stuck with the opposite" I called it. Every time you set out to do something, you always get stuck doing the opposite. I am the rescuer and healer... constantly getting chased/stuck with gens. I'm built for gens and I'm stuck with doing the rescues/healing and being chased. I'm built for chases... never run into the killer...
I'm pretty sure Ohm was responsible for locking 99% of the lockers in that first game.

@Wisteria Fawkes I dunno you're still wasting killers time for every locked they have to go through, breaking out from the locker is like at least 5% on a gen and a hit is worth a few %, not mentioning the extra time it allows for gaining valuable distance on a loop. For a survivor to lock it, it barely wastes any of their time, having no time benefit for the killer and it's practically has no downside, although the situation that you put of them being potentially better for later usages can occasionally appear, but their significance doesn't out weigh just spam locking everything within reasonable distance to you.
I think a fix for both issues now is to have the entity automatically unlock the locker after 30 seconds. It makes spam locking not as time-wasting for the killer and allows survivors to think more of a potentially better strategy. I also feel like increasing nightfall by a small percentage for each lock action would be a good way to balance things out, because if you keep blocking their power without much thought you're going to be punished for it.

YES, I was laughing my ass off when the gen activated and the exits came online, and Ohm turns toward one that's actually fairly close only for Dredge to greet him. That was so goshdarn funny.
Just 4 minutes in and I can tell that this is probably the scariest round you've played. To see those lockers fly open while you were in the darkness is crazy. Hopefully you can get a similar build and scare the crap out of survivers yourself!
So basically with this new killer, the lockers are not the survivors allies?

this killer is insane. genuinely super scary to play against and I can see skilled dredges be as scary as red tier nurses (as long as the map has enough lockers)
YES! THIS IS WHAT THIS GAME NEEDS! I’m genuinely excited for this update, and I’ve always said this game needs more of a horror aspect. Hopefully they continue down this route.
Play a couple of rounds you get used to the scare eventually

If you play multiple and multiple rounds a day yes there’ll be a point in time where you get used to it but after that, if you go let’s say 4 or 5 days without playing, you’ll definitely feel tense during chases. Ohm says he only plays it one day a week because that helps him enjoy the game continuously.
Locking all the lockers at the start of game is bad idead ...Coz once you do that you cant lock again .

It physically pains me to see you locking absolutely everything right from the start. Every locker can only be locked ONCE, so survivors should lock them a little more strategically :D

My God! This is hand down the most scariest killer dbd has released yet, usually the lockers are a sense of security with normal killers, but with this dude, and that stupidly scary perk, I won't even go anywhere near a bloody locker 😂

The first match had y'all on the ropes with the over abundance of lockers. The Dredge really needs to be have a limited number of locker options. If the survivors have a limited number to use in other matches, the Dredge should have a limit too. Probably even less than the normal amount. I hope the developers fix this feature.
Got to admit that the crying in the darkness is absolutely irritating, but I gotta say ohm you’re the only person who plays it that I watch anymore.
Those closets randomly opening jumpscared me. Been a long time since DBD has had that effect on me.. Thoroughly enjoyed it

I just realized: the survivors get a heads-up of a killer's proximity before the killer does of theirs: the survivors hear the heartbeat where the killer has to go from silence to Chase music.
Thag first round was genuinely terrifying 😱 how you kept your nerve is beyond me Ohm!

Starstruck is a tough one on this killer due to the fact that he loses his terror radius when nightfall activates. More than likely that will happen after downing someone. Also the perk works in two ways, they are only exposed for half of the diamond icon while the other half is the cooldown before it can activate again.
30 secs = Exposed
60 secs = Cooldown

I wonder, is this monster the one from that late 80s horror movie about the monster in the closet? I remember watching that and it ended in a cheesy way by everyone just destroying the closets all over so that the monster could no longer eat and get strong. Eventually the monster, while carrying one of the main characters, just up and died while walking on a highway due to malnutrition. Classic 80s cheesy horror movie.

So when survivors hide from or trick the killer . They basically jump into a locker .
Now the killer will jump_ scare out of the locker to hunt the survivors

Btw starstruck works like this it has a 30 second expose timer and starstruck has a cool down of 60 seconds so you can use the red meter till the perk is halfway red to know when the perk is in affect or not just a tip

Imo Dredge should have been named "The Nightmare". The horrifying creature, the darkness, the screams, closets opening and closing... all the stuff nightmares are made off
They need to have the lockers with a certain killer be camouflaged hooks that act like iron maidens if you use the wrong one.

Correct me if im wrong, but wouldnt locking the lockers first thing in a match be a bad thing? I mean, sure it makes it harder for the dredge to move around at first, but all it has to do is smack the locks off, or teleport to the locker and then that locker will never be lockable again and would be completely accessible to it in the end game where it may need them to more effectively monitor the doors on opposite sides of the map
i have never been more terrified from any other killers than this one
