Your teaching method is very good you 'uncover' the detail gently, and the routine is nice but not comolicated. Could you cover the chase? Perhaps you can enlighten me on something that has always bothered me. Tango is explained in the technique books ( e.g.Guy Howard's) as being counted 1,&,2,&. 2 beats in the bar. 33 bars per minute. So that would be 66 beats per minute, which it isnt. But for me, its simply 4 beats 1,2,3,4, and im delighted you explained it as such. Is there anyone out there who can explain why this 1&2& stuff still persists. I teach tango to beginners and some of them have read this 1&2& stuff and ask me to explain it. Its hard to explain to be honest. Why dont we count foxtrot 1&2& ?(ive been asked this). My best answer is that modern tango derives from the argentinian tango, but im really guessing
