Wanna know something crazy? Rock pikmin can now die from getting crushed, but only under hard surfaces. This means even the rock pikmin arent safe from the empress bulblax in this boss
@@Bruhtato412 ooooh, I think the area in the video is more of a soft dirt so they would've been fine as far as I know. I'd consider hard surfaces to be like the bathtubs and the tiles areas where I can't imagine a rock realistically sinking through it without breaking. But, I've never lost a rock pikmin to hard surfaces so I'm only guessing
@@zerothethinker That makes more sense. Yeah the only time ive seen a rock pikmin get crushed is against the hardwood floor in the hero's hidaway. It's strange but pretty cool
I'm ngl, I didn't feed Oatchi a single bone my whole playthrough since I forgot lol. I actually tried to solo her with Oatchi but without bones he couldn't last
@@zerothethinker Yes, every pikmin gets its damage rounded to 10. So also white and wingeds become as strong as purples when sprayed, too. This oversight especially breaks rocks, as they now become weaker than non sprayed white and wingeds since their tackle usually does huge damage but it gets rounded up to a normal pikmin attack.

True but aren't her boss fights only on soft surfaces in Pikmin 4? I could be wrong tho
@@zerothethinkerI thought the rock flooring of the cave in the video would be considered a hard surface, but I guess it would need to be tested

I bring rock pikmin to this cave solely because of this empress bulblax all the time and they only ever die to the baby bulborbs.
I suggest a stun with lightning and a oatchi rush with a bit of ultra spicy and all your Pikmin, helped me out a lot
Tbh, I forgot all about the other items you could use since I only really used them in dandori battles but that's a good idea
Yeah, the stun + all your picking men on him at once just kill instantly, it's really refreshing for repeat playthroughs
sounds super refreshing
I like to go in with Oatchi. Takes longer, but as long as you have your usual hundred pounds of scrummy bones you should be fine.

Then again, in hindsight I could've just controlled Oatchi, used the geysers, and solo'd her...
Purple pikmin become weaker when spicy sprayed
Really? Is it a glitch?
They _do_ become weaker, but the fact that they hit much faster makes it pretty much equal
That's interesting. Would've been a waste if I didn't have like 60 sprays at the time

Wow. Hopefully they patch that or something since having a power down when using items makes no sense
That's what happened to me
its ez all u have to do is rush
thats what i did and it died instantly
Interesting. What pikmin types did you have at the time?
