Sonny James - "Bad Times A Comin'", "The Minute Your Gone" and "Young Love" - Live - 1964

"Star Route" was a television show hosted by Rod Cameron and broadcast through nationwide syndication, but didn’t make it very far. The short-lived 26 country music TV series with only 13 episodes of the show are known to have been taped. This is from 1964 with guest Sonny James singing "Bad Times A Comin'", "The Minute Your Gone" and "Young Love" and a small interview. Sorry for the quality of the video and sound.

Sonny was my first big crush as a young girl back in 1961 when my parents took me to the Grand Ole Opry! My heart still speeds up today, when I see him perform in these videos. Thanks ever so much for dedicating your site to the Southern Gentleman, which he certainly was.

Jimmie, you just can't get much better.
I knew him from church.
Later in life, Jimmie served as an elder and was instrumental in helping many folks.
Truly a great man.
