- The Angels (Cheryl Ladd, Jaclyn Smith and Shelley Hack) create three very intriguing cons: one involving Mayan art, another centered around a Rolls-Royce and the third concerning bribe money.
From Season 4 Episode 22 'Three for the Money' - The agency is hired collectively by Professor McKendrick, Mike Lloyd and Mrs. Pattison, who were each swindled by a con man named Harley Dexter to the tune of close to a quarter million dollars in total. The three want the Angels and Bosley to get their money back, no more, no less. Dexter believes that he truly conned some of them in they not knowing that he has their money, while he knows others know that he has their money. The Angels and Bosley figure that the best way both to get back at him and to retrieve the money is to con the con, preying both on Dexter's greed and his love for the ladies. While Bosley and Kelly team with Professor McKendrick, Kris with Mike, and Tiffany with Mrs. Pattison, they enact three somewhat concurrent cons related to how he conned the three: the smuggling of rare Mayan art pieces from Mexico into the States; the stealing of Dexter's Rolls-Royce; and providing a payoff to a Senator Langston, who has been investigating Dexter's criminal activities. Thrown into the mix is a violent criminal named De Sousa with who Dexter has been doing business, and the Angels and Bosley learning that Dexter has $100,000 stashed away for the emergency if he ever needs to make a quick getaway.

Keep them coming...my first crush was Jaclyn Smith! I had so many pictures of her on my wall in my bedroom. I even had a stand up poster board of her that I got from a drugstore. I want to meet her, she is still beautiful and has a beautiful spirit !!
Season 4 was my favorite. The stories were more mature and also very serious and the chemistry between Smith, hack , and ladd was the best.

Kate Jackson quit , and there wasn’t time to build up and introduce Shelley Hacks arrival for season 4, so the new season started here was this new angel, and I believe the first episode was they were on the Love boat, so she wasn’t explained in that episode

The ratings drop to an all time low when Shelley joined the cast on the 4th season. They blamed Shelley for the low ratings so they fired her after one season and hired Tanya Roberts for the firth and final season. The ratings were still lousy during season five so they canceled Charlie's Angels after terrible ratings during season 5. Me personally I LOVE Shelley Hack during season four. I wish they kept Shelley for season five. This is my personal opinion.
@@montygreen6228 I liked Shelley Hack, too. I agree. They should had kept her for the 5th season. I think one of the reasons why the producers hired her was because she had a connection to the name 'Charlie'. She was the face of the "Charlie" perfume TV commercials.

The biggest reason why they hired Shelley Hack for season 4 of Charlie's Angels was because Shelley was famous for doing several Charlie's perfume commercials on tv. She was a model who made many magazines appearances, sometimes on the covers.

Hack wasn't so good. She took nearly all season to loosen up. There was no real chemistry amongst the women. The writers didn't give the Tiffany character anything to do. The ratings were falling. Many reasons.

Shelley and Farrah had no scenes together. The producers never had the 2 women meet on the show when Tiffany was Sabrina replacement during the 4th season. Very tacky not having the 2 women introduce themselves to each other.
@@monty3534 Farrah left because she thought she deserved more money and they wouldn't meet her demands. There was no opportunity for them to both be on one episode. Unfortunately for Farrah, she overestimated her ability to become more famous than Charlie's angels made her.
It's sad that Jill Monroe was never introduce to Tiffany Welles on the 4th season of Charlie's Angel. Tiffany and Jill never had any scenes together either. It's sad because I would have love to see these 2 beauties have scenes together just those 2.

@@SuziQ. I meant Shelley Hack and Farrah Fawcett never had any scenes together when Farrah made 3 guest star appearances on the 4th season of Charlie's Angels. The 2 women never introduce each other on the episode: Fallen Angel, Farrah first appearance on the 4th season when Shelley Hack came on board.
What happened to kate Jackson
She quit.
Also Kate Jackson was originally chosen to play Dustin Hoffman's wife in the film Kramer versus Kramer. The producers of Charlie's Angels did not allow Kate to do the film so the part when to Meryl Streep who ended up winning an Oscar for Best supporting actress. If Kate had done that film she would have won an Oscar which would be great. Frustrated with not being able to do the film plus lousy scripts Kate lefted at the end of the 3rd season. I agree with Kate Jackson though.

There’s no guarantee that she would have won an Oscar for that movie. Meryl is still working, for a reason: she’s an accomplished actress.
