      +Maggie Elizabeth Youngblood I would suggest using apple cider vinegar as a toner (I think she suggested it on this channel). I started using 1 part apple cider vinegar to 2 parts water (so 1/3 apple cider vinegar to 2/3 water) after I wash my face before I go to bed at night and it cleared up a fair amount of my acne. I didn't have a large amount to begin with (it used to be a lot worse when I was a teen) but it cleared almost all the acne I had left (accept for a few on occasion). Obviously this may not work for everyone because each person's skin is different but it's worth a shot.

      Maggie Elizabeth Youngblood Brothers is good because "bros" is a better abbreviation that sis (also female). And you're welcome I hope it works out for you :) (and just general advice don't use a scrub more often than once a week because they can irritate the skin and cause the acne to be worse).

      Huyen Mai Hello! I've stopped using this mask as it's no longer effective for my skin, as it began to cause breakouts for me sadly :(. Instead I've been using sea salt and using it as a toner and it works amazing for my acne! However when I tried out this mask I used turmeric powder, lemon, rice powder, and yoghurt. I hope it works for you! If the mask doesn't work, you can try the sea salt :D!

    • @Boboelise
      @Boboelise 7 лет назад +16

      emiiee cx yeah I also think it's yogurt. There is no proof that dairy does anything to the skin to improve it. It could cause problems as well as it could be beneficial for the skin. I wouldn't use it though. Honey will work much better as a substitute

      Nel Pastel Tv™ I imagine that's impossible xD Tumeric stains so easily that if you went to bed with it on, you're probably going to end up with a stained yellow bed in the morning. Also, it's probably not safe to use it for prolonged periods of time as it could cause excessive drying of the skin, causing it to scab up as your body's way of dealing with it.

I tried it and I wash of my face and it brightened up. It was my 1st day but I am DEFINITELY continuing this mask. And I could see that my acne and acne scars were looking a bit faded and it finally made me love my skin. I did not have rice flour so I used almond flour and chick pea flower. And I used milk as an alternative of the yogurt. Best mask ever!

    I don't have acne and I have a bright skin. My method for that is to stop eating junk food. Since my childhood my mom banned me from eating junk food like chips, energy drinks, candy and etc. It's not like I never ate junk food. I only ate it once in three months. Bright skin is not in my family either. The difference between me and my cousins is that I eat less junk food than them. They drink lots of energy drinks and etc. So here are my tips:
    1) Don't eat junk food(I know some people are in love with it, but remember it's for your own good)
    2) Don't use too much makeup. I only wear lip gloss and put lotion like nivea and etc.
    3) Eat daily fruit. My daily routine is: 1 apple, 1 banana, carrots, 1 orange, 2-3 dates.
    4) Eat 1 yoghurt per day and drink lots of milk.
    5)Eat vegetables for dinner.
    And drink WATER! It's really easy to have bright skin if you eat good. You can also put on a mask like in this video. I hope it will work!

    • @TiffanyRusell
      @TiffanyRusell 3 года назад

      @@royalfansofp.k7270 Wash your face so that you are starting with clean, dry skin.
      Combine 1 tablespoon yogurt, 1/2 teaspoon honey, 1/2 teaspoon turmeric. Mix well and apply evenly all over your face and neck. Let it sit for 15 mins or until it’s dry, and wash it off and pat dry.
      Now I’ll tell you what makes it good.
      YOGURT Moisturizes and heals dry skin. It is a rich source of B vitamins, namely, B2, B5, and B12, which moisturize, hydrate, and heal dry skin.
      It also helps prevent the early signs of aging.
      TURMURIC contains antioxidants and anti-inflammatory components. These characteristics may provide glow and luster to the skin and also help with acne, irritation and inflammation.
      PURE RAW HONEY is a natural antiseptic and and a natural anti-inflammatory. It helps balance the bacteria on your skin, which makes it a great product to use for acne. Raw honey is also a natural exfoliator, which means applying it to your face takes off dry, dull skin and reveals new skin cells underneath.
      So all in all these 3 things work in perfect harmony and that’s what makes this mask amazing.
      * Be aware that if you’re a bit pale then the turmeric might stain your skin. Use this mask the day when you aren’t heading out.
      Hope it helps! 🌸

  • @saelem
    @saelem 8 лет назад +27

    On the yogurt OR oil,
    You can still use the yogurt if you have dry skin. The honey is a natural moisturizer anyway, so you're compensating for using the yogurt. The yogurt's culture (in regular high-fat yogurt) kills the bacteria that causes acne. If you do want to add an oil, don't use coconut oil. Dermatologists advise against using it on your face, neck, and chest, as it's comedogenic (which means it clogs pores) and can cause worse breakouts, especially if you're acne prone. Jojoba oil is the closest oil to our skin's naturally produced oil, but olive oil works wonders for moisturizing the skin. If you have dry skin, just make sure to use a heavier/richer moisturizer after this mask.

    Thanks for this video. Last few weeks I had 3-4 humongous acne (probably cystic) on my face and it's only on one single 2x2 area on my Cheek that I suffer acne, no where else on my face. It's huge bumps and red and painful. I have tried everything to clear it but no results. I prefer natural products to clear it out because once I had medication topically but it was expensive plus as soon as I stop applying medication acne comes back stronger. I feel my cheek full of bumps underneath and red and sore to touch. I applied this turmeric paste at night (turmeric powder +filtered water) to this area for 30 min and rinsed it off. Next morning I woke up with all the pain was GONE! And saw the swelling was down. I applied the turmeric paste again at night (this time left it overnight) and 2nd morning my acne was GONE! Now I only have scars left but it seems to be lighter than usual because I keep applying turmeric everyday. So this does help. And it kills those p.acne bacteria beneath the surface of the skin. Hurray for turmeric! Just make sure it's purest form of turmeric.

    I am an Indian and as Promise said, a turmeric paste was applied to me before I got married. In ancient days, before parlors and beauticians existed, the brides were given turmeric + sandalwood paste rub, all over her face and body and this still continues. It would not only bring the bridal glow, but would also stop acne from appearing on that special day.
    The most vital quality of turmeric is that it's antiseptic. We also apply it on bruises, burns and cuts to stop the infection.
    Thank you Promise for bringing this ingredient to a much wider audience.:)

    Use wild turmeric it won't leave yellow skin.. And it's equally beneficial.. In India its called kasturi turmeric and is used only for face packs..
    The general one is used in food.. To kill bacteria in the food..
    Good video.. I'll do this for the health of my skin..

    "Pff.. ah.. I just ate that" lol. My mother was making this when I was a kid, like five years old and one day while she was making it I just got the whole bowl and put my face in it. I just ran off home and I was out for five hours, I got back home and this paste is like stone when you wait for an hour. They just tried for thirty minutes to wash this off of me. Guess that's why I have that baby skin even ten years after.

    If you guys don't add enough milk IT WILL STAIN YOUR SKIN! I learned this the hard way lol. If you still turn yellow just scrub some sugar and water on your face after and it should remove most of the stain. But you might still look like Donald trump for a couple days lol

    Hi Promise. I'm from Malaysia and I usually use fresh turmeric instead of powder. If you can get your hands on the fresh version, that is even better. Smash it using mortal and pestle, mix it with rice flour with a little water and you'll get all the anti bacterial properties for your skin. Seriously it works!

    I'm surprised I haven't reviewed and I've been using it for about a month now. It has done wonders to my skin! I don't even get break outs any more. When a pimple does pop up it usually just goes away after I've used the face mask. Also, my scarring seems to be fading more the more I use it! Although, I believe the face mask has only been working well because I've been consistently doing it, as well as trying to balance my diet and making sure I apply sunscreen everyday.
    Yes there is the con of it staining your skin, but if you do use make up its just a blessing in disguise because we all use yellow primer to get rid of redness right?? The stain goes away in a day or so anyway. Also remember to wear an old shirt and have paper towels handy when you wash it off. I wish everyone the best on their skin endeavours! Its a long and hard one but once you get it right it will all be worth it in the end :)

      Instead of olive oil, I would recommend using avocado oil instead. This website explains the benefits of using avocado oil on face: sowourplanet.com/avocado-oil-on-face-skin/ I have acne prone skin myself - olive oil / coconut oil can clogs my pores. Most people don't know this - avocado oil has an antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory properties. It's such a good + cheap +natural way to treat my acne-prone skin!!!! :)

      Not a whole lot of research has found a difference, but when using on the face, it would probably be a good idea to be using the real stuff. Most commercial companies have 51% honey and 49% sugar water, and can still call it "honey". - and then there was a case of counterfeit honey - grist.org/food-safety/2011-08-18-honey-laundering-tainted-counterfeit-from-china-in-us/

The amount that you have used here is too much ,for some people it will irritate their skin. Also people with oil skin can avoid using milk on their face.

    The difference was very visible after first use. It lifted skin, smoothed fine lines, and lifted the under eye. I'm 43, so there was a lot to lift lol! It did stain my skin, and it also stained my bathtub. But I don't care, because of the lifting and smoothing it also did. When I was mixing the paste, I forgot to add oil, and also I didn't have the rice powder, I mixed in farina flour instead, and also I used milk. My paste was harder than the one in the video. And I applied it in a very thick layer all over my face with my hands.

    I made a turmeric mask using honey instead of the oil. This is the first diy turmeric face mask which actually worked. My skin was glowing and felt really clean. Just wondering where I can get good quality, affordable turmeric powder?

      I use turmeric masks a couple of times a week and it works great. Try iHerb - iherb.co/3RUrAzKH - they have a good organic range. Hope this helps

      Central market, HEB or Whole Foods! Check the bulk spice section.

    Guys for those who are saying their face has become yellow after adding turmeric. See there are two types of turmeric, one is for cooking purpose and the other is for skin. DO NOT USE COOKING TURMERIC POWDER as it stains your skin and doesn't do anything beneficial. USE WILD KASTURI TURMERIC POWDER FOR YOU TO GET BEST RESULTS!
    This is a basic indian skin care routine which works mostly for all the skin types also don't use full spoon just use half a table spoon if you are applying only for your face becuase if you take the measurements as they have given it will be alot and sometimes it will be waste. I hope this helps 👍

      i have a light olive skin tone and it made me really yellow:( then again i only added water, so if you add honey and milk it probably won't turn out bad

      I just used it with yoghurt, disaster!! My makeup removing wipes eventually removed it but I had to scrub for almost an hour, which made my painful acne and redness worse :( . I might just do it with a tiny amount of turmeric

      Maybe because you use the bad stuff. People put yellow corloring in to make it look like tumeric when inside it's not :(

    I do this before I have a shower because it doesn't stain when u wash it off in the shower. The steam from the shower and the shampoo and stuff help it not stain no matter how long u leave it on for :)

    okay this is from my personal experience, I used turmeric+rice or gram flour + water to make a paste and apply it everyday before bathing for 20-30 minutes, and NGL it has worked wonders for me. Just in 1week ,all my acne scars became lighter as well as the hyper pigmentation around my lips and chin.
    IT WORKS,NO WONDER WHY OUR GRANNY HAS SUCH A NICE SKIN EVEN AT THEIR OLD AGE.
    Oh btw , I am an Indian.
    Lots of Love
