Your advice and step by step tutorials are awesome. The hex head sockets were key! I would have tried to be cheap and just use the hex wrenches I had. One thing I would add is that if you don't have a tube that fits inside the fill cavity, buy a flexible funnel from an auto parts store (I got mine from Advanced Auto). The tip of the funnel is tapered and fits inside the cavity nicely (insert innuendo humor here) and also has measuring ticks on the side of the funnel to measure with. Great video, thanks for making these it's been a lifesaver and much better than just the maintenance manual.
appreciate that, and yes I remember when I first started using the hex sockets and thinking this is a game changer. Something else I've learned since on small bolts with hex heads is to use a punch (Either much larger or smaller than the size hex so it doesn't damage or strip the part you stick hex into) and give the bolt a few whacks with punch and hammer. It seems to somehow jar the threads so they are looser and easier to remove without stripping. And great advice on that funnel I'll have to look into that. usually the rear plug is on the bottom and the front drain plug is on the passenger side below the cv axle. Helps to find them with a clean machine and lots of pressure washing. Thanks for watching and taking the time to leave a question in the comments. Cheers
Hey sir, I’m trying to screw the fill plug back in. Once I get it snug, the copper ring is still loose. I don’t want to overtighten but don’t know what is keeping it from tightening snug. Any thoughts?
Hi yes a "torx" or torque head socket or bolt is the star pattern while as the allen head socket or bolt is a hexagon instead of the star in the case of these bolts we need the allen hexagon shape and not the torx "star" shape. hmm I sold the bike, but I'd take a wild guess and say 1/4" tubing assuming o.d. is 1/4" would be safe? its been a while and I sold the bike sorry I'm not certain or much help with this one. after some digging online it looks like the part number for the drain plug is p/n:705500894 I wouldn't be surprised if they were both the same plug as they are both 5mm allen bolts, I would just call your local dealer to be safe though. My commander did not have a rubber o-ring on the drain bolt. It was just a 5 mm bolt. What's the deal with that

Buddy of mine had his diff go out and the shop told him that the front diff is a non serviceable part..🤦 then they warranty kicked in

You need to make note that front diff filling plug to place a rag underneath the it. If not and you drop the plug or the socket is a b**** to get out
