@ Kevin Frederick The trench block we are using are 440 x 215 x 300 wide so it works 140mm bond from the corners. NHBC require minimum of 100mm bond so we've never had any problems. The block start to soak up any water in the mortar when they are dry so its a lot easier to just spread for 1 or 2 at a time than having to struggle to get them to the line
we have to use a 100 mil block as a bond breaker in the corner or some concrete dollys would never get away with near enough stack bond on most of sites were on

Yeah we always give them a check before setting out for the facework. We are given levels of the engineer before we start but like to make sure they work gauge from the top of the trench blocks whenever possible
@@markbullen1489 so you try to get any discrepancies out in the trench? Then stick to gauge on the splash. Noticed you don’t leave door ways out? . I’ve always done supers but I done a footing the other day and got pulled for not leaving doorways down 2 course ? Never had to do it on footings before is that new? Earned good money doing them though !
@@bardy9240 Yes most of the time we will try and get everything level in the trench block so that the brickwork looks right and isn't bumped up 20/30mm with big beds. Some sites use a curb edge on the front and back doors or a snapped header to get the door frame flush for level access.
Didn't even get halfway through watching before having to turn it off. Is there any wonder why our current new build housing stock are sh1t with this low quality of work. Just another video showing why NOT to buy a stock built new house.
Excelente trabajo 👏 👊 🧱🧱saludos desde chile
Your apprentice is going to wreck his hands hammering the blocks down with them mate he seems a good lad though
Why do you run 3/4 bond on the block and only spread mud one block at a time?

@@markbullen1489 sound mate. Yh new it was for level threshold guess it’s site specific then. Good work anyway and just subbed 👍🏻.
@@bardy9240 Thanks mate
