The cinnamon rolls were his prize for dumpster diving this evening. Can we say he deserved all of them?
I grew up in the 60s and 70s, with 8 brothers and sisters. We didn't have much. My dad worked as a driver for wonder bread. They had a promotion for SuziQs, that didn't go well, so he was able to buy racks of them for something like $2 a rack. We, along with my grandma, had grocery bags of suziQs in our freezer, that we could get any time, day or night! For a family who never could purchase the food my dad delivered to stores, that made us feel rich!!
LOL I saw the eggs first, cinnomon rolls second!!! 🤣🤣 Boxes on boxes on boxes, oh, yeah! Pile it up! So did everyone JUMP out of their seats at the sound of the car alarm too? Oh, we got grapes. (freeze and eat in the summer!) Do NOT quit your job and buy groceries; you pull more out of those dumpsters than I buy in a month. Please, do it for all of us! In dollars per hour; working when you choose, you certainly already earn WELL more than minimum wage...and you are paid in FOOD.
Oh Frugal Daddy, please be careful. My deceased younger brother was a Juvenile ( Type 1) Diabetic and my husband is a Type 2 Diabetic. Sweets and Carbs are (was) "crack" to them. You don't want to develop the disease: it wreaks havoc on your kidneys and heart. Please be careful, for your childrens sake and Frugal Mommys ❤️
Be careful when cooking the stuffed mushrooms. We made them 2x in the oven and the first time they sorta exploded, the mushrooms hold A-LOT of liquid. The 2nd time we pierced the mushrooms with a fork and they were perfect!
FD didn't even get in and he got all of that! Wow. *FYI- strawberries do not continue to ripen once picked. I do have a question. When is dinner? 😁

ALL THE ORANGES AND STRAWBERRIES LOOKED GREAT ALSO THE PORK CHOPS REMIND ME OF A MEAL WITH MASHED POTATOES AND CREAM CORN, YUMMY. I worked in retail all my life and inventory was always done in January or February and we always "cleaned house" just before inventory. Tons of great stuff was thrown out. You should check your dollar general and pet supply stores. You're bound to find lots of good stuff in the next few weeks.

I'm on frugal daddy's side, the cinnamon rolls were his reward for his super hero like foraging skills. Loved the look of the Mandarin orange's, and those mushrooms yummy. Frugal mum you are a star,the editing and humour make us all feel we are part of it. So happy for our favourite frugal family for a delicious mega haul, ENJOY 🛍️🛒🛍️🛒

that is unreal the amount of food in that huge haul - so gourmet and the rolls too for FD - I love cinnamon buns
I love the mushrooms...in a pot i melt some butter , mix in bread crumbs and garlic and put some on top of them and bake them in the oven on 350 for about 25-30 minutes...like the crunch
It was nice of the workers to leave so much in boxes. Almost like they knew he was coming
