I've long ago lost track of my favorite CD ever, LEAHY. ...McBrides! Czardas!, Call to the Dance!, B Minor!... This brings back fond memories of dancing around my living. Another thing long lost.
Oh my GOD I've been searching for this song forEVER! I used to listen to a Leahy tape on my mom's walkman (god I feel old) and this was the only song I EVER listened to. It feels SO damn good to hear this again T____^. I thought I'd never find it because I forgot the name. I KNEW it was called Mcbrides! I'm NOT crazy!
Our Nutcracker performance has an Irish dance in it, and this is the song they dance to. It's absolutely amazing to listen to this song when Irish dancers perform in hardshoes
Don't quote me on this since I was like...eight at the time, but I remember reading the liner notes of the tape we had this on that said that Leahy had heard this being played by a "mean fiddle band". Again, don't quote me, but I think that yes, this song did exist in some form before they played it.
The world will often embrace talent, but rarely understands brilliance. I'm not suggesting that L'il Wayne has anything remotely approaching talent, but the Leahy family, including Donnell's wife, Natalie MacMaster, are simply brilliant.

It never gets old seeing them or listening to them.

This is one of my very favorite Leahy songs :) LOVE it!
It’s a moving hearts tune. Lunny and Sinnolt on their first album. Brlliant tune
