A lawyer, whose law degree has been revoked, is compelled to join the Greendale Community College. Students of diverse temperaments join his study group which leads to quirky and memorable encounters.

It becomes painfully clear in the episodes where he's gone that he carried the show... Magnitude was really the heart and soul of the study group.
So true
lol not Chavy Chase or is that the joke :$ help i need more coffee and less autism
POP! POP!
@@pyruvicac.id_ that’s the joke, you think there talking about Pierce but they end up talking about The one man party. There is a scene is the 6th season where they freak out because Frankie is about to sit in Shirleys chair but the don’t care when she sits in Pierces
@@f3nommusic728 But is he like joking that Chavy isn`t missed or is? Because I did miss him )`: A LOT
Abed nodding in agreement with Troy really knocks the joke out of the park.
Which means...?
Which means??
Edit, ok its NOT chevy chase is the gag
@@BroadwayMateo do you mean the idiom “knock it out of the park?” It is a baseball reference and means to hit a home run.

The way "Andre left again..." is delivered slams me. It's so vulnerable and forceful. Shirley is definitely one of my favorite characters
Thats so funny. She's my least favorite because she's too manipulative and selfish.

It still bugs me that they completely ignored Troy being the AC School messiah
Yea AC Repairman Cult is really strong side story
Fr tho, I hoped that their mini-reunion at the start of season 5 , he had atleast a career on AC repair but I guess it seems Donald already told Dan that he will leave the show so they had to throw as much as any plot related to Troy and make him less important for the rest of the episodes.
He was allowed to leave by ac school after the vice dean was murdered
Makes sense tho. He's the only one whose life didn't get ruined
@@starsnipe-yp5hxhe didn't actually leave though, and he said he changed it to a normal school since he was a messiah to them lol
I don’t know why I never noticed this before but this really parallels the scenes in the first pilot where Jeff pits the group against each other.
I mean, the episode is called re-pilot
never noticed that. wow
And just like the Pilot episode, its Pierce Hawthorne that initiates something inside Jeffrey (in episode 1, he talks about Jeff being like him when he was his age. In the repilot, Pierce convinces him not to sue the school.)
Also in the Pilot, Abed gets a text saying he needs to use the bathroom.
Crazy how this went from a Save Greendale Committee to a Sue Greendale Committee...
And then back
Thats the winger guarantee
That's the greendale effect
So basically Abed ruined Jeff's career.
The commercial wasn't the problem.
Yes and no. Abed wasn’t even paid right.
Pretty much

bloody hell i miss this show

And a movie
Bri’ish “person” spotted
It’s on Netflix!
And hulu
I just noticed that Abed’s remarks about the 555 number is actually super meta because hollywood reserved all of the 555 phone numbers so he is literally breaking the forth wall by pondering why there would only be 10,000 numbers. Damn the layers to this show.
I think that joke was made by "Last Action Hero" too, though it's still pretty funny
Til
Actually Hollywood only reserved 2 of the 9,999 possible 555 numbers, the rest can and are use sometimes
@@Conissocool wait, only 9,999? which one doesn't count?
@@kylarirons2236 forgot about 0000 and went straight to 0001-9999 lol
It’s sad how they never resolved Shirley’s family problems by end of the season.
Her kids were singing "Creep" in the ass crack bandit's episode in the Cafeteria. So I guess they solved some of the problems at least

"That's only on Tummy Tuesdays!" Lmfaoo that has to be my favorite line of this episode by far
We have the same kind of humor 🤣 her delivery/timing was everything
Best part is Abed loving the idea of getting sued by Troy for no valid reason
for me it's that they don't even realize troy is probably not gonna be able to sue him
@@lilenwasnothere6867 you can always sue someone, doesnt mean youre going to win.
Britta's analogy is wrinkling my brain...
It's kind of a good analogy...but since the purpose of it is to demonstrate that she is poor at making analogies, it's actually a bad analogy. But being a bad analogy makes it...good?
She Britta'd it
"That's only on Tummy Tuesdays!"
When I was a senior in college rewatching this, this was a huge reality check moment for me
Can you elaborate
Hiw is it now?
I hope you've gone far in life
I hear you brother, my life spiraled nowhere in the decade after college. People say your twenties are the best times of your life. Well, people can be wrong. Hope you're doing better now.
I think the only problem I have is having Andre leave again. Unlike the rest, that feels like a regression, instead of unfortunate circumstances moving forward.
yeah, it really bugged me that seasons of progression is gone in one episode like why is Shirely the only one who has the same problem as she did before.....They should've just made Shirely's sandwiches unsuccessful just like Jeff's new lawyer career
"I know what an analogy is. It's like a thought with another thought's hat on."
Annie's in Pharm, Britta's in alcoholic drinks and they bicker
It's like a candy princess and a goth queen having a spat
The implications of this for a couple are grand

Do Americans use the bathroom excuse for literally everything? I've never seen anyone in an American TV show/movie use any other excuse
Americans are pushy, so to counter that other Americans will use the bathroom excuse because it’s one that nobody would bother grilling you over.
The joke is that he is clearly leaving the room due to something regarding his phone, but he plays it off as his bathroom break (hence the "again")
We do real life and fictional
In my experience the usual excuse is "something came up", "I have to go do ...", or "I forgot, I need to do." I feel like you're overthinking the bathroom excuse.
It is the most plausible and easy excuse... Everybody go to the bathroom many times a day. Why NOT use it? It will always work.
I got you covered, Troy! POP! POP!

I wish Chevy wasn’t such a pain to work with for the crew. He was the punchline of a lot of jokes along with the dean. Definitely was missing in these seasons.

I feel like the joke about Magnitude was a ‘fuck you’ to Chevy Chase. Dan Harmon and Chevy Chase had a big falling out. Chase’s fault if you ask me.
We've never heard Chevy's side of the story.
Scary how this show foreshadowed that bridge collapse at the Florida state university

Well, time to embrace my Abed-ness.
Chevy Chase is apparently notoriously difficult to get along with backstage, but in his defense, he was right about the direction his character was going.
theres no defence, when you work for show there's always a compromise. dude was a dick, some mentioned him saying nigger. not something you should say when the ppl you work with are black. its not a good look, no matter the reason

After watching the TV show NBC's "Community"
I have this fantasy about going to college and writing TV shows that take place around college or there students with different genres of stories. Do you think there should be more TV shows that take place in college/grad school because there's so many teen shows?
I have ideas for college shows. Comedies like "Victorious" or "Friends", action/fighting, mystery-drama, drama's like "the O.C". , suspense maybe like "Riverdale" or "Mr.Robot", sci-fi like "Roswell" or "Smallville" , and even rom-com stories
@Failingpepper 11 exactly
@Failingpepper 11 to be fare some of them shouldn't work for high school + a writer could make a "excuse/reason" for anything in a story
@Failingpepper 11 first off Victorious was in a high school (of performing arts) Smallville "is self explanatory"? I don't know what you mean but if I learned anything from "Community" is that's there's lots of clubs and teams in community college, the Victorious version could be a theater club or performing arts college, and Smallville had half a season in college. Plus Roswell had both a high school and adult version of there show so why not college?
Edit: I don't see why a story of college would harder to do then high school even if the experience is different. Instead of stories about 14-18 year olds why not stories of 19-22 year olds or older there in "a school"? Plus I had some ideas about how these could work before the pandemic started I think
@Failingpepper 11 A Smallville lasted half a year in college for the same reason Buffy dropped out the next season a death of a parent, doesn't mean it can't work in college. Roswell is basically Smallville meets Twilight excepts it actually does work well
@Failingpepper 11 first off Smallville is like the the Six Million Dollar man in the method of the moment and the way they use their "powers". Plus in the 80s they had a live action Superboy series set in college. But I meant a Smallville/Roswell like story where the boy and his friends are trying to have normal lives and hiding there powers from bad people type of story.
Edit: plus in a lot of teen shows while it is more dramatic for "kids" to be in adult type of senario's , like in the 100, Riverdale, the O.C., Degrassi(WatchMojo top 10 moments), I feel it would make more sense to do these things as a 18 year old because I think you would have more liberty to do so rather then a high schooler. Also after community I was like where's all the college shows at? - COLLEGE IT'S LIKE SCHOOL BUT FOR ADULT'S
what season and episode?
Season 5, first episode
Pierce was the best character by far,so underrated 😞
imo he was great piece to compliment group
Nope.
Wait a minute. I can sue my school?
Dan always abuses his power wherever he can to be spiteful and hateful. Its sad really.
Did he have to take his power to force himself on that cast member? Nope. Did he have to try and bully Chevy by getting everyone to say F U in a crowd insulting him in front of his family? Nope.
he writes a dam good show , but dont glamorize his ego. its his own pride this show started to hemorrage people, even had himself kicked off his own show.
But Chevy is the difficult one? lol.
In Chevys day, he wouldve ran circles around Dan. Dan can only hope to quote the movies Chevy has been in.
