Peccato! Il progetto F16 e' e rimane uno dei migliori degli ultimi 40 anni (ed ancora di piu' lo sarebbe stato l'XL). L'AM ha traccheggiato per almeno 20 anni costringendo lo spillone a fare gli straordinari. Le ricadute tecnologiche ed occupazionali per un F16 nostro sarebbero state maggiori che con l'EFA. Peccato!
Non avevamo le conoscenze tecniche per realizzare un F 16 italiano in quegli anni. Oggi che abbiamo il 326, non siamo in grado di venderlo che a pochi Stati, perché è stato motorizzato subsonico, quindi pur essendo un F 16, gli è preferito il coreano KAI FA-50 Golden Eagle come dimostrato dalla Polish AF.
I nostri piloti non hanno nulla da invidiare rispetto ai piloti di altre nazioni......non a caso, la nostra pattuglia acrobatica (frecce tricolori) è la più numerosa al mondo!
Dai consolati siamo i primi in Europa ad essere operativi con i caccia di quinta generazione però ti capisco io avevo uno zio che abitavo vicino ad un campo d aviazione ne a Treviso ed ero affascinato dai g91.. però il tempo passa ciao buona giornata

There are no F-16E or F-16F. The versions that followed the F-16C are the following: F-16 block 50, F-16 block 52 ( HAF - Greece, Poland, South Korea, Israel) the F-16 block 60 (United Arab Emirates) the F-16 block 70 and F-16V ( this is an F-16 block 52 with radar and avionics of the F-16 block 70)

T P sure. .. air space defence is provided by around 120 Eurofighters in 3 wings. Interdiction/strike by 80 tornadoes and 110 amx. The Air Force has been the first in Europe to receive F35s. European F35s are assembled here in in the FACO facility in Cameri. Now there are 12 operational. 2 are stationed at Nellis AFB for training. Ily provides air defence to Lituania, Romania, Iceland ad so on. So what are you talking about? Get informed. Ps: typhoons are a newer and better platform than the f15, designed in the 70s.
Only about 85Typhoons, 50 Tornadies, the AMX are ground-stike (doesn’t count as air Defence). What happened to the borrowed F-16s, why not buy them. Sime trouble with the “stealth” Typhoons???....what stealth??....Italian Airforce is in the 1990’s era. Get informed, please.

non capisco perchè abbiam tenuto il 104 in servizio cosi' a lungo. Bisognava acquistare un contingente di F16 entro gli anni 90
