    I think the wood stain idea is genius. Wish I had considered it all those years ago. This was an amazing tutorial. I kind of liked the pickguard before 9:46, I thought there was too much contrast in the horn corner. Otherwise thank you for sharing your ideas and knowledge. Much appreciated sir.

    How long did you let the stain sit on the pick gaurd for?

      I let it sit for about 20 minutes then rubbed it in. then added a little more around the edges let it sit and blended . Thanks for watching.

    Would this work well for a celluloid pickguard?

      I never did a celluloid relic .So I'm not sure if the stain would react with the celluloid and dissolve it. Mabey using coffee or shoe polish might work out better. Thanks for watching !

    doesn't look old. It just looks like it was stained beige
