Bingo and trivia for some low level activities, sports tournaments for high level, legally distinct TV stuff like deal or no deal. They can be fun. The food is infinite and free. Also there are ports that you go see. Its an easy, cheap(relatively anyways), and safe way to see the world. Ive been to Alaska, Panama, Colombia, Peru, and a couple other places. Its as fun as you make it.

Squeaking clean sprite is a mario kart tour track, but it reference Mario kart home live circuit, since if you pay attention cassette tape are used as wall.
My parents went to Cancun, Mexico for their anniversary last summer, they stayed at an all exclusive resort. They had a nice time but I asked if they checked out the city or other surrounding areas and I was astonished to hear them say something like “well, we went on a guided bike tour a couple times but other than that stayed in the resort” Compare that to my brother who went and explored Mexico City with some friends after graduating from nursing school last year or the year before (For context if you are wondering we live in Maryland, US, and don’t have any (notable) heritage in Mexico) Goes to show that it’s probably more of a generational thing (especially given that cruise ship internet connection probably sucks)
