Same set-up here, but i'm using 41° hurricane 3 national blue sponge on forehand. I'm planning to change the tenergy 05 on my backhand, it doesn't fit well with w968

hey :-) nice video.. :-) am also thinking about buying this blade but i was expecting it to have more dwell time than the viscaria - which is pretty hard with the 09c i play,too direct,whereas with the harimoto ALC i can feel the spin more and longer - so how is the 968 with spin ? can you feel it more when you brush the ball or is it direct as the viscaria?
Ma Long have powerfull speed and good control. Provincial blade feel incredible with Tenergy. Harimoto blade is the same price. For me Harimoto is for professional players table tennis. Maybe for good technik and very good balance.

yes indeed mine started to splinter after the second regluing. The weight of the blade also increased (+1gr) after those reguling. That is when I decided to seal the blade.
If you really want the national W968 I recommend you just come to China and buy one there, there are many fake 968 on the market even in China you have to find a reputable shop to buy.

Nice video. =) But I don`t know how it is possible to be faster and harder then an outer layer Carbon blade ...=/ I have a commercial version of the "normal" blade and it`s way slower then any outerlayer buterfly blade I tested so far...^^ Still prices for this versions are madness... Even the commercial version of HL5 is too expensive for that quality...
My Yinhe pro01 is a Viscaria clone, comared to Viscaria plays and feels almost same. My DHS Pg5, and Long 5 are definetly softer, with long dwell time, almost with allwood blade feeling.
That’s probably because your strength is not enough to activate the inner core, either outer or inner carbon blade’s max capability are largely determined by that.
nice review..maybe next you can review w968 clone blade and compare them such as from Sword HD997 and Sword HD Long 5..yeah Sword also call it Long 5 and cheaper too.hehe

The title is misleading. He's using a provincial version of the HL5, NOT a W968 (which is the National version of the HL5)

What is the difference between standard,provincial and national version
W968 is national version. Much better materials. The quality of DHS is very high in every model. National versions are a bit harder.

Prott have the sword hd997..they also have Yasaka athletico power and HRT pro blade which they describe has similar function as w968
