@@goofedplaysgames blue bird is really good though its the earliest scaler. By default its good. Ox costs a lot to get it to a decent level and even then falls off hard imo unless you got another scaler.

I think getting a swan might actually be a good idea if you're looking for specific animals to get badges. Probably not just 1, but if you see 2 in the shop or have a fish that can level to give it extra stats, I think it'll help you out later.
I’ve won with a swan on free to play. It was hard and I was on lethal and it went to round 16 or 17 but penguin scaling on all my units (ox, rooster, camel, swan) got me there. Swan isn’t completely dead, don’t give up on the dream

Hey NL, coincidentally I spent about 7 hours yesterday trying to get the level 3 Piggy win, it's way harder than it seems because getting to level 3 early will make you lose rounds in the early game, The way I finally made it was by getting Another pet to level 3 (preferably an otter or a fish which makes you win early) get a bison and any scaler you can get your hands on (yes, even a giraffe) and very slowly getting the pig to level 3. It's basically a 4 squad chalenge but harder
Been trying to finish all the achievement winning with level 3 achievements. God damn, the chicken is hard to win with and worm. I either win too fast or get to 8/9 and completely way too late to win. Few times I sold my whole team after spending 20 gold trying to get 1 chocolate bar or copy.
Only things harder than Chicken are Sloth, Zombie Cricket, and Bee. So many runs lost when I pill my Cricket at the last bit of rounds and the loss of power killed me, so many lost when I pilled it early and couldn't recoup the cost at well.
@@jbreitz87for a chicken win just get something like a buffalo or make sure u have a carry unit, then buy the chicken and start scaling the hell out of the shop animals. My second chicken run I got 10 wins on lvl 3 and i remember buying a 45/45 scorpion at the last shop
@@jbreitz87 I should count the bee and zombie and bus, AND sloth. But I'd just like to complete the real list. Because you don't even need those to hit 100% on the achievements. Sloth would 100% be the hardest. Since it's literally pure luck.
@@buttnuts2599 That's how I got the camel and sheep completed. I got an early level 3 spider and pilled it. I might have to do that with the eagle, since getting the boar (one of the few I have left) is pretty hard as well since it comes out so late. Basically, I try to hold down the fort, use cupcakes, and mass can so at LEAST I can be stronger by tier 5-6 simply replacing. My ideal setup would be dragon, buffalo, chicken, goat. But everyone knows it's almost impossible to get what you want without digging so deep that it's counter productive.
Idk how I feel about it yet… but I’ve started to shift my perspective of the Pig to be kind of like a “1 turn swan” that’s also a mini nuke (for the first 2ish rounds). Even though there isn’t really much to do/look for when you only have tier 1 and 2 animals, if I have an open spot (or can combine 2 animals) when I run into a pig with 3 gold, I pretty much ALWAYS take it just because it guarantees me 12 gold next turn (when I possible have better animals available too).
Hey NL here's a game you might enjoy since you did a lot of Clubhouse 51 Games. The game you should try to learn is Texas 42, It's the National Game of Texas.
I did a comment about how a crow would be cool in this game but didn't know what skill it could have. Now I'm thinking.. The Crow copies the food buff that the unit in front have (since they are known to be able to eat anything)
So if you have an ox with melon armour, in the shop not in fights, then the Crow copies it when the shop ends, or even the death touch from the scorpion. I think it could be really cool as a tier 2
Maybe at lvl 1 they can "Every time per in front gets a buff, the Crow gets a +1 +1" Lvl 2 could be "Crow copies the apple, pear or sushi effects given to the pet in front" Lvl 3 the Crow can copy things like melon armour from the pet in front
I think you underrate the rat. At least in the early/midgame with hurt trigger animals, the rat has some insane potential now that it spawns tokens to the front.
The peacock is awful in the current meta. Change my mind, you can't, here's why i'm right : -Unlock at tier 2, so that's a plus. -But it starts as 2-5 and that's bad. -You get +50% attack upon taking damage, oh great, which will happen... once most of the time, because until you get it to level 2, your health wont scale enough and enemy damage will kill it. It's a stomp or be stomped, just like the kangaroo, but here it gets to attack maybe 3 times at max, unless you garlic against horse-sheep-bee, but late game it's bad. And in conclusion, it's really bad in late game. Boom, plot twist it's not totally useless. good for barely 3 rounds.
Nah, I like the peacock but it has the same problem the camel does: bad stats and an ability that might trigger once if you have garlic. It's worse than camel though because if you're running camel then you might get more than one proc fighting a summon build and set up the guy behind it for good trades but still, not very likely. The only good game I had with a peacock was a game I ran a dodo behind it and that was more because it gave the peacock enough attack to break melon armor early which let me win some games I would have lost and got me to the 10 before I fell off.
peacock really isn't bad. the only units with better stats than peacock on tier 2 are elephant and rat, which can be argued to have downsides, and flamingo. since peacock is a tier 2 unit, leveling it to level 2 is easy and simply buffing with penguin/rabbit/giraffe (3 of the strongest units in the game) creates a unit that after 1 or 2 attacks has 50 attack and kills beefy units through melon armor. imo 1 of the best early game scaling buff targets. biggest mistake you can make with a peacock is not investing in its stats, if you are just going to make a level 2 4/7 peacock don't waste your time.

NL running Cricket+Ox and not putting the ox behind the cricket on two separate runs in one video had me nearly foaming at the mouth.
NL saying he hasn't had good scaling options in the shop after PILLING a Penguin and skipping a Bison the game before is just wild.

Also actually killing an animal is way better than lowering its HP, which the snake can do and the skunk cannot.

I have won only a few times with swan since the nerf, it's not horrendous, but if it's not buffed or leveled early you need to sell it
The expansion does make a swan good again if you have bluebird to buff it
