Admirable et tellement de joie à l'écouter. Merci de nous la remontrer je ne me lasserai jamais. C'est elle la plus grande chanteuse. Elle a un talent fou, une voix incroyable et une mise en scène en plus elle est super.
My French is not good enough, so this time I'll reply in English. I agree with you on all counts and I am very glad that you found my reaction to be of enough value to watch it. Merci!
if I gave my love, my singing career, my very life to one who did not care, I would feel the absolute despair Lara portrays in this performance......the a capella section is especially stunning........
What's strange to me is that she portrays it so well, as if it was her own story. Then again, in a way she did live through a similar story herself (one she describes in Broken Vow). Personally, even though or maybe because it's the first one of her performances I ever heard, I find it to be perfection.
@@AleksReacts I agree....though relatively new to the world of classical/operatic composition and performance, I place this in my top 3 for both vocal excellence & theatrical interpretation of the score.....cheers !
@@AleksReacts OK, no pressure.....I include Diana Ankudinova, and Aurora as my favorite vocal artists, along with Lara.......BUT, I feel Eivor Palsdottir (from the Faroe Islands) is also an excellent cross-genre performer, who brings ancient folk music of the Norse to modern interpretation......and my guilty pleasure is Emanne Beasha, a young Jordanian/American classical vocalist.....Emanne made her debut at age 10 on "America's Got Talent" in 2019, making it to the finals, singing "Nessun Dorma", "O Mio Babbino Caro", "Caruso", "Ebben Ne Andro Lontana", "Quello Che Faro" & others in Italian
@@AleksReacts Aleks.......forgive the interruption, but I neglected to say that, while I have favorites, I am still a classical/opera "newbie" and have an entire world of music to examine, and my list will no doubt expand !
Hi. You have entered the world of our Queen vocalist, storyteller, especially is she a "powerhouse" of emotions. Her live delivery, performances, absolute stage presence is astounding. She draws in her audiences even before she has started singing. After a live performance, it is also noteworthy what happens with her after each delivery. She's the perfect lady, forever humble, generosity flowing even just in conversation. There is so much about her... Please follow more/all of her songs, and the background to her life. Follow too a fan and friend of Lara, Dimash Qudaibergen, as well as his history. Listen particularly to his "Story of One Sky". Thank you for your reaction to Lara and for honoring her.❤
Actually, my mentioning Dimash to a friend is what brought me to Lara. So far, I've only done a total of 6 reactions, 2 of which are to Dimash, but I will keep going. So many lovely comments keep prompting me to. Thank you so much for adding one more reason to keep this up!
This is what Lara is all about. Emotions that hit you like a truck . For me..she has the most wonderful voice of her generation. I fall in love with this artist every time I se her. Great reaction. Thank you. I saw Lara in concert in Tallin oct. 2022. She is still going strong. Cheers from a finn in Sweden.
"Emotions that hit you like a truck" is a good way to describe it. Well, you're the first Finn and the first one to comment from Sweden. Like Lara, 2 countries covered. 😉 Thank you so much for your comment and warm regards to Finland and Sweden!
I have listened to Lara Fabian singing this song so many times. However, I really enjoy your insightful comments to Lara's performance. Welcome to Lara's world, she is truly a great artist.
Thank you so much! I don't even think I did it justice - there is so much more to this performance, but it would take me an hour to say everything I've noticed and even I would eventually get bored listening to it all.
One day we should all meet somewhere in center of the Earth, play a very long playlist and talk endlessly. 😁 I'd actually like that, I can talk so much that I usually have to cut the end of my reaction videos to stop myself from talking. 🤣 Not sure if anyone else would get a word in, but hey...
Linda reacción! Saludos desde Costa Rica! Hermosa obra maestra impresionante de Lara Fabián, la mejor cantante e intérprete del mundo entero, la voz de cristal más bella y perfecta que existe! Gracias!

@@AleksReacts Dont worry, she is still very active, same voice, as beautiful as ever, just release a new single in febuary and a comin album ( her 15) this fall. amazing woman
“Je suis Malade”, now a french classic, was written by famous French singer & songwriter Serge Lama together with composer/singer Alice Dona in 1973. This is based on his own experience and he was the original performer, hence some lyrics are a bit male-oriented (eg my mother leaves me, whiskies, I pour my blood in your body, …). When Serge Lama had a dinner with Alice Dona and told her about his obsessive love that was leading to a road block, she came back home and composed the music in a couple of hours. The morning after, she presented him the music and he wrote the lyrics in … 20 minutes. Serge Lama was the original performer in 1973, it started to be promoted on the radio, and the song was brought to fame only when, a few months after, Dalida covered it. She was an absolute mega star in France, another emotional powerhouse, and this song resonated very much with her own feelings. Her success with this song transformed it into a french classic, and started to make it famous abroad. But it is Lara Fabian that really made this song a very popular song in many countries with her cover in the mid 90s. At that time Dalida had already passed away, but Serge Lama was (and is) still alive. Dalida and Serge were two inspirations for Lara, so she sent an audio copy to Serge of her version. She was unknown at that time in France but he was so impressed with her vocal skills and her emotions rendering that he invited her in France to sing it as a duet during his own Paris concert in January 1995. It was a triumph. So he sat in a front row seat and asked her to sing it again alone. Lara also had made some subtle changes to the song that gave it even more power. Serge and Lara became good friends and performed several other duets later on. The 1999 version ("From Lara with Love" Concert in Montreal) ruclips.net/video/eHSyk4SGtuY/видео.html is legendary internationally and has attracted many artists to do a cover, even from non french-speaking countries. The most recent ones I am aware of are from italian singer Giulia Falcone, from the korean singer Choi Sung Hoon or from the korean band Forestella. Lara is used to perform the song very differently in each of her tour and for instance the En Toute Intimité, 2003, Paris Olympia version is even more dramatic ruclips.net/video/SyILdRAOS88/видео.html
Thank you for your comment and especially for sharing all this information! I could probably google it, but it would take a while to piece together everything you wrote. When I can, I will try to react to Serge Lama's version. What sounded a bit more male oriented to me was the "je ne fume plus" and the "whiskys", but you caught the other two instances well. Still, Lara sings it as if she lived it or had a similar experience. It is brimming with emotion, grit and pain combined with an overwhelming love for someone who does not seem to return it (anymore).
@@AleksReacts I personally do not call Lara a storyteller but instead a "storyliver": she impersonates the character in such a way that she is living the story in front of us, feeling all the emotions from the song in the moment. Her whole body is engaged in this experience and therefore it is completely authentic. Barbra Streisand was thoroughly impressed by this performance (and by Broken Vow, an equivalent english song that Lara wrote and that Barbra covered in some of her concerts). She asked Lara: « what were the emotions you connected to singing this song?» Lara said: «To pain» Barbra replied: «oh, it’s vast».

I very much agree with you! I also think this is one of the first, if not the first comment in Spanish. Happy to have it represented - music like this should be global!
Aleks, now I know what you mean. Her interpretive skills are amazing and so are your explanations of what exactly is going on. I have seen this video many. many times and never heard anyone describe her performance as beautifully as you. Yes, you were in awe of her during the song like so many others but you followed her story word by word and you added a depth to the video which was so nice to listen to. Yes, she is special, VERY special. And, Aleks, that last note! I never saw an audience jump to their feet so quickly to give her a standing ovation. If you run the video just another second or so you will see a close up of Lara and you can see she's still into the song.
Thank you so much for giving it a listen to the end. I guessed we'd see things similarly and based on such a lovely compliment it seems we did. 😊 It's very hard to say everything that's on one's mind while soaking in the entire performance, so I don't say much while listening. I can't always follow the lyrics as closely, but what helped here is that I understand both English and French (although my French is a little rusty). Additionally, for this particular song, it was obvious after the first few lines that the lyrics will have a huge impact and they did.
Ok, not French. I misspoke as the language of the song and her perfect pronunciation made me assume she was French. Then again, Belgian/Canadian explains the perfect French just as well. 😊
Thank you for the reaction. Lara opened my eyes to great singing. She is truely great. However after watching a few of your reactions i am a little interested in your story aleksreacts.
Thank you so much! Of course, we agree on Lara. Well, there's not much of a story - I studied literature, obviously I love reading, and I love music. My own musical experience is just singing in a school choir for a couple of years and really great music teachers in both elementary school and high-school. That's pretty much the whole story. 😊 I also really love coffee, but not sure if that's important for reactions, aside from explaining all the coffee mugs you see me drinking out of in my videos. 🤣
@@AleksReacts Thank you. I truely respect your thoughtful reactions. Please do more. I also enjoy a coffee. I hope you have access to a good barista or at least a quality espresso machine.😀 God bless.
Thank you again! I am glad that my reactions are making sense to many and that I'm not just a nutcase with a weird view of music. 😂 Now, this a sad topic... I only drink instant coffee at home, but I sure do love an espresso and drink it in coffee shops when I meet with friends. The best coffee I ever had was in Rome, Italy. It was caffè ristretto and the place where I had it was REbasilico. It was an eye opener as to why Italian coffee is respected! Imagine how good it was that I remember exactly where I tried it. To top it all, I also remember Constantin, the best waiter in Italy who worked there.
The magician of our pain and suffering Lara, you are the voice, the songwriter and composer of the 21st century. Not sufficiently recognised as such We the Fans must shout it out loud.

More information on Lara Fabian: Lara is recognized as one of the best vocalist ever seen on earth and all professionals list her in the top vocalist tier with Barbra, Whitney, Mariah, Celine, Aretha, Shirley Bassey, Lisa Fischer, .... In my personal opinion, she is even the best. There are a few vocal characteristics that are her signature: her famous resonance for instance that allows her to sing acapella without mic in venues with 10,000+ attendees. Her nickname in the singing world is "the ring" due to this. I would also list her amazing phrasing, breath management and her pleasant tone even when belting in her upper register. So she is one of the best vocalist ever, but on top of that, she adds a few things that make her an absolute package with no equivalence: • she speaks 2 languages natively (french, italian), and 2 others fluently (english, spanish), can speak a bit of dutch (and sicilian), and understand quite well russian and portuguese. She has sung in 12 languages in total • she is an amazing songwriter and wrote lyrics for 200+ songs, in the 4 languages she speaks fluently. She often co-composes the music, and is at the source of the melodic line. • she acts and performs on stage as nobody else, she colors and reveals the meaning of every single word in the songs, and her ability to emote, to draw you in is second to none • she is the sweetest soul on earth, very humble, down to earth and benevolent. She likes to meet others, and her fans are always pleasantly surprised when this happens. A quick background on her and her career: She is belgian, her father is flemish and grand mother on father side is dutch, but she also has italian roots (her mother is from sicilia) and American roots ( the father of her mother is from Detroit). She had been raised in Sicilia first for 7 years then in Belgium so she speaks both italian and french as native languages. She has been classically trained on vocal, piano and songs composition for 10 years ( from 8 to 18) in the Brussels Royal Conservatory. She is still having vocal lessons and training several times a week today. She only moved away from opera to pop because she is first and foremost a songwriter. After her Eurovision participation in 1988 (4th), she really started her career in Canada in the early 90s, more precisely in Quebec, the french-speaking part of Canada. She had been living for years in Montreal and has also Canadian citizenship. She moved to Sicilia end of 2022. She became very famous in Quebec in the early 90s with several double platine records and then conquered France in 1996/1997 (she topped charts there and some of her songs such as "Je t'aime" or "Tout" became classics of the french music). In 2000, she was about to penetrate the US Market, with a lot of media initial interest. Her first english song (I will love again), a pop dance song, stayed number one on the US Billboard Hot Dance Club Play chart for 58 weeks in a row and was number 32 on the Billboard Hot 100. Her Album ("Lara Fabian") was about to become a massive hit, and the concert "From Lara With Love" was recorded to be broadcasted everywhere in the US. This concert is legendary, packed with masterpieces (covered by many great vocalists later on). But a dispute with Sony on artistry directions, and the will from Celine Dion's staff to block her progress in the US, completely broke this plan. She thus refocused back on Europe and made huge success there, extending her reach to Eastern Europe and Central Asia where she became an absolute superstar through her collaboration with Igor Krutoy during several years. She is absolutely massive in Russia for instance. She is also a star in Brazil as her song "Love By Grace", used as the soundtrack for a very famous soap opera, topped the charts for months and become a recurrent in the local singing contests since then. Many of her songs became classics and were covered by the other singing legends: Barbra Streisand, Shirley Bassey, Josh Groban (they are friends and he told she is a role model for him), Linda Eder, … With her success in Europe, Brazil and part of Asia, she is the inspiration of the new generation of vocalists: most of them are coming from there. Thru their covers of Lara Fabian songs, USA and many other countries are now rediscovering her. She is Dimash's idol: • I’ve read somewhere that, when he was a child, he was listening her songs every night to get asleep. • He covered many of her songs, most of these were composed by Igor Krutoy and written by by Lara. Out of my mind I can list: ○ Adagio (She wrote it and is the original performer), ○ Mademoiselle Hyde (she wrote it and is the original performer), ○ Love of Tired Swans (she wrote the song in French under the title "Je t'aime encore" and was the original performer of the french then the russian versions, Dimash covered the russian version) ○ Ascolta La Voce / Vocalize (this was a pure vocalization and she was the original performer, then lyrics were added for Dimash and it was rebranded as "Know") • She also wrote the lyrics of Dimash's song "Your Love". • And she covered "Love is like a dream" before him (song from Igor Krutoy originally performed by Alla Pugacheva). • Finally, they also performed "Ti Amo Cosi" together, in trio with Aida Garafulina: this is a song that she performed originally with Dmitri Hvorostovsky and Sumi Jo then again later with Dmitri and Alina Yarovaya, before this new trio with Dimash and Aida. Dimash is now also working with Igor Krutoy: Igor and Dimash connected after his Adagio cover, also endorsed by Lara. Igor came back from retirement and composed severals songs for him after it. Many other top vocalists from the current generation covered her songs, some have Lara as a role model and big inspiration (singers from every region in the world: from China and Taiwan, to Philippines, Indonesia, Russia, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Bulgaria, Turkey, Netherlands, Greece, Israel, Lebanon, Italy, France, Belgium, Norway, UK, USA, Canada, Brazil, Australia, Central Africa, …) ○ Floor Jansen (Adagio), ○ Polina Gagarina (Adagio, Je t’aime), ○ Diana Ankudinova (Tomorrow is a lie), ○ Morissette Amon (Broken Vow), ○ Gabriel Henrique (Love by Grace), ○ Cakra Khan (Broken Vow), ○ Charice Penpengco (Adagio), ○ Katrina Velarde (Broken Vow), ○ Regine Velasquez (Broken Vow), ○ Dmitri Hvorostovsky (Adagio), ○ Giulia Falcone (Adagio, Caruso, Je suis malade, Je t'aime), ○ Forestella (Je suis Malade), ○ Almira (from 4th Impact band) (Broken Vow), ○ Gigi de Lana (Broken Vow) ○ Julie Anne san Jose (Adagio, Broken Vow), ○ Rimar ( Adagio, Broken Vow, Know), ○ Il Divo (Adagio) ○ Daria Bentsa (I guess I loved you), ○ Sarah Geronimo (Broken Vow) ○ Laura Bretan ( Adagio, Caruso), ○ Jackie Evancho (Je t’aime, Caruso and Broken Vow, BV rewritten as « Imaginer » by Lara for Jackie), ○ Harrison Craig (Broken Vow), ○ Amir (Je t’aime), ○ Pauline Aguirre (Adagio)), ○ George Peris (Broken Vow, Humana), ○ Vitas (Adagio), ○ Wanessa Camargo (Love by Grace), ○ Anastasia Luna (Adagio), ○ Jeck (Je T’Aime), ○ Evgenia Fanfara (Adagio), ○ Anne Sila (pas sans toi, Tu es mon autre), ○ The Canadian Tenors (Adagio), ○ Anna Eriksson (Je suis malade), ○ Choi Sung Hoon (Je suis malade), ○ Soprano Turetsky band (Adagio), ○ Sarah Naura Irbah (Mademoiselle Hyde), ○ Elisabetta Rinaldi (Adagio), ○ Alyona Yarushina (Adagio), ○ Marie Payet (Pas sans toi), ○ Laurh (Immortelle), ○ Inger Lise Hope (Adagio), ○ Håkon Sønsterud Tollefsrød (Broken Vow), ○ Flora Tandi (Bambina), ○ Cindy Chao (Yeliel My Angel), ○ Majda Roumi (Adagio), ○ Abraham Mateo (Adagio), ○ Petra Berger (Adagio, Broken Vow), ○ Russel Watson (Adagio), ○ Katerina Maslova (Je t’aime, I guess I loved you) ○ Annointed (Love by Grace), ○ Sevara Nazarkhan (Je t’aime) ○ .... NB: Lara did cover Caruso , Je suis malade, and Love by grace, these are not her originals, but I mention these here as the related artists were attracted to cover it again after listening to Lara’s version. Today, Lara still has an amazing voice and tone and can still reach the 5th octave with resonance ; she still offers these emotive renditions that are her unique signature. In June 2022, she kicked off a WW tour and stunned her fans once again with 5 magical concerts in Canada. She completed the europe part in September/October and I attended a concert from this tour. It was packed and she was again spectacular. On April, May, June 2023 she had again some wonderful concerts in Tbilissi, Georgia, then in Ouzbekhistan, Kazakhstan, Romania. She is about to release a new album and just completed another popular tour in eastern europe (Czech Republic, Moldavia, Croatia, Romania, Bulgaria, Turkiye, Hungary), then she will visit several locations in Canada in june 2024 and, after some rest and a few TV Shows, France in 2025. The first song of her new album (titled "Ta Peine" - Your Sorrow) was released late January 2024 and is a success in France. She has been one of the concert tickets top sellers in France, Eastern Europe and Canada. New dates are being added to her tour. Sorry if I was long, but I hope this gives some context on Lara.

Isn't Lara glorious? This is a cover, but she owns it with her breath-taking story telling, emotional intensity, magnificent voice, dramatic presence, grounded in life experience. All her classic performances are stunning, whether covers, or her own amazing songs. I urge you to queue up reactions to each of the songs in her legendary 2000 concert, From Lara With Love; you will not be disappointed. Dimash fell in love with Lara when he was 12; when he was confronted with the most pressure filled moment of his life in The Singer 2017 competition at 22, he chose to cover one of her most famous compositions, Adagio. He put on what was then the performance of his lifetime -- one you must one day react to -- but even though it's arguably his greatest ever performance, I'm sure he'd be the first to agree that it's _still_ not the equal of her own performances of it! BTW, I can't recall if I've suggested you react to Ren. I suspect you may not like a lot of his material, but that may well just be me putting you in a box you don't belong in. Back on 74 / Message in a Bottle is a great example of Ren being the completely free unique artist that he is, in combination with two other exquisite singers and a bassist he's played with for years, for a wonderful piece of art. Please do consider reacting to that, or any of the rest of his material, including the busking band collaborative The Big Push, one of the most important British indie acts of recent years.
Thank you once again Ralph! Yes, she truly is! I am not surprised Dimash loves her. Actually, the only thing that does surprise me is how on Earth is she not even more popular. I actually wrote down Ren Back on 74, Message in a bottle and also Mackay based on your previous suggestions. I'm doing my best to keep a file with all suggestions I received. Given the number of suggestions, I'll need to be reacting for the rest of the year at least a couple of times a week. So, yes, I'll most likely get to most of the suggestions, but it will take me a while. Once again, thank you so much for all your wonderful comments so far!
@@AleksReacts She is very popular, just not in the USA, but in all French-speaking countries, Canada, Brazil and Eastern Europe. She was just on a very successful tour there.
I understand, but think she should be a global phenomenon, not restricted to any regions. Btw, I AM from Eastern Europe and somehow, I've never seen a single ad for her performance. However popular she is, my personal opinion is that she should be even more well-known.
@@AleksReactsA big part of what stopped her from being more well known is what happened when she finally got her chance to break into America. She signed with Sony in 1999ish, which was also Celine Dion's label. Her team was so threatened by Lara they made Sony force her into more of a pop-dance genre. That wasn't what Lara wanted, and was only a small piece of who she is, and the deal eventually fell apart. As I understand it, they made it impossible for her to sign with any other American label, and so she returned to Quebec to try to pick up the pieces. But this concert, From Lara With Love, was filmed in Montreal, to be released on PBS (American public television for the arts, education and shows from around the world) as part of her US promotion. Now, 20+ yrs later, it's doing exactly that, not just in the US but worldwide through reaction videos. The whole concert is a master class.

One small but important correction. La Différence was written in support of gay marriage, before the never ending alphabet had even started to be added to the gay community. That's not to say anything bad about others, but it matters deeply to us gays and lesbians that she risked her early career to speak up for us, in a time that was very hostile to us and could have ruined her career. Everything isn't always about the whole alphabet, of groups that don't even always have the same interests now that so many are being added, which is becoming very frustrating to us because it's erasing everything that's specifically about us. This song is very specifically about gay rights and in support of gay marriage. Please honor that.
Thank you! I actually did listen to Broken Vow and my reaction is already posted on the channel, along with a couple more. Love by Grace, on the other hand, is added to the list of future reactions. 😊

Hello there! Lara Fabian just interpreted brilliant this song in that way. The first and author of this song is Serge Lama ( French songwriter) . He is talking about him being desperate and broke.ruclips.net/video/HDbpZpm9j9c/видео.html. The song is very old, and Lara Fabian sang with Serge Lama in the '90. The Lara's version is the top of what she can go with this song. Lara Fabian- born in Italy ( mother Italian, father Belgian, and she is living in Canada ) Of course she speaks fluently- Italian, French and English. I
Thank you, Zoe! Yes, I heard both Serge Lama's and Dalida's versions. Glad that many comments pointed that out as I do like to hear the original when there is one. Also have by now learned a lot about Lara, but it doesn't hurt to share information about her multiple times. Someone will always notice it that way. Thank you again!
Oh, no! No need to apologize. It is totally fine to keep sharing information. Like you, someone else might miss the other comments and get to yours first. 😊 It can only help people to find out more about Lara. ❤

@@AleksReacts Yes, sometimes things turn weird about comments. They could be automatically deleted (it regularly happens to me for 24 hrs and I never post anything offending) , or may required review and approval, or the whole comments sections may be simply deactivated. The policy here is not explicit so it's hard to understand what triggered the issue and to adapt his own behavior.
I don't really care, now I know I need to check that section as well. 😊 It's very clear you're not posing anything rude or offensive. Btw, can you please help me out and resolve the meaning of the lyrics. Seems that @ricardocortina3988 and I disagree on the physical state of her partner/lover - whether he is dead or not. I took the time to actually analyze the lyrics line by line as I understand them, but maybe you know what the artist said about the meaning. You'll find the correspondence under this video.
@@AleksReacts are you talking about "je suis malade"? And the lines « je verse mon sang dans ton corps et je suis comme un oiseau mort"? No dead partner here. I will explain the full story behind the song tomorrow. The story of Serge Lama the songwriter. And these lines are more describing that his own brain is like dead and he feels no more emotions, even in the most intimate moment. I need to leave but will be back tomorrow with the explanations.
Yes, that's what I'm talking about. I have tried to explain the lyrics and I strongly believe no one is dead, but @ricardocortina3988 insists her lover is dead. You'll find the conversation right here on this chain starting with "Women ¡ the person is death ¡ is poetry ¡" So, I wanted to check if it is I who misunderstood something or if Ricardo's interpretation of the dead lover is not exactly on point.

Thank you for sharing your perspective. I do agree it is poetry, but I have to respectfully disagree that the person is death. Nobody loves death in such a passionate way, no one is forgotten and ignored by death for 2+ years and no one dies for love of death. The lyrics point to a lover who consumed her world, but although she is still hopelessly in love, they no longer care for her. At least that is the way I understand it.
I respect your view, it's just not how I hear it, maybe because people in my experience can be as unfeeling as the lyrics suggest in this song. I've asked @ericsicard910 to help us out, if there was ever an explanation from Lara or the original songwriters.

17 seconds. The first time I've seen that she is giving the Q to start the song ande the pianist looked a her to give the Q to the orchestra when she stops. That is quite far from the format of Las Vegas shows.
@@AleksReacts I mean the music at the beginning starts only when she starts to sing. At the end of the song the pianist stands up to make sure that he will stop at the right moment,
Prima di fare una reazione, ti consiglio di informarti sul cantante e anche sulla canzone. Farai sicuramente una reazione migliore ed eviterai di dire stupidaggini
I am intentionally not researching the artist. The idea is for me is to start with hearing the performance first and then either continue to explore and learn about the artist, or I might not like them and not really care. Thankfully, so far everything suggested is aligned with my taste. Would you mind telling me what nonsense I have said, so I learn from your comment instead of feeling bad about it? I am happy to be corrected and some of the comments were actually very informative and helped me learn about the artist I do like.
A song by Lara Fabian "Ton désir" very rarely put on youtube Which seems to have been forgotten ruclips.net/video/pblXOeFTsBk/видео.htmlsi=RRrHeAxdQyAk4cLs Your Desire From these times, from those times, It's raining in our shoes It's not going so well, we whisper Hidden under our iron armor Tired I want to change all that Suddenly, an idea comes to me A game only for you To be a girl to imagine Like a great bonfire To burn, To balance Forget the stress and the cold I will be your desire Your doll, your cashmere pull Your minute of pleasure Your desire for sweet and savoury Your audacity, your crazy laughter Your christmas tree in July The song who inspires you Do what you please with me Happiness isn't complicated We always have the choice High heels and D cup, Horizontal or not, I want your big eyes Deep in my cleavage of silk. No need for 5-stars hotels That's all in the past And caviar is so common I have much more for you In preparation Me, naked One on top of the other, wherever you want I will be your desire Your doll, your cashmere pull Your minute of pleasure Your desire for sweet and savoury Your audacity, your crazy laughter Your christmas tree in July The song who inspires you Do what you please with me Follow me in my craziness I'll make you my king My Beckham, my Shakespeare My comic book superhero, The important part is to laugh about it And never forget to love each other And never forget to love each other I will be your desire Your minute of pleasure Your audacity, your crazy laughter The song who inspires you Do what you please of me Do of me Whatever pleases you
If you count the number of times Lara has already sang this song and to be able to convey so much passion. What an exceptional woman.❤❤❤❤❤❤
Hmm, I haven't even considered that. You're absolutely right. Thank you! ❤❤❤
You had to do it. You had to tickle my imagination. What are the other 2?

Great reaction! Lara is artistry personified! 😍
I'm glad you liked my reaction, but it could not have been had Lara not given an absolutely stunning performance. She really deserves full attention!

I have listened to Lara Fabian singing this song so many times. However, I really enjoy your insightful comments to Lara's performance. Welcome to Lara's world, she is truly a great artist.

Lara's just one of the greatest performers in the world.
I have to agree!
I've watched several reactions to this performance, yours is the first to delve more deeply into the lyrics. Insightful interpretation!

The 1999 version ("From Lara with Love" Concert in Montreal)
ruclips.net/video/eHSyk4SGtuY/видео.html
is legendary internationally and has attracted many artists to do a cover, even from non french-speaking countries.
The most recent ones I am aware of are from italian singer Giulia Falcone, from the korean singer Choi Sung Hoon or from the korean band Forestella.
Lara is used to perform the song very differently in each of her tour and for instance the En Toute Intimité, 2003, Paris Olympia version is even more dramatic
ruclips.net/video/SyILdRAOS88/видео.html
She asked Lara: « what were the emotions you connected to singing this song?»
Lara said: «To pain»
Barbra replied: «oh, it’s vast».
Recognition from Barbra Streisand, a singer whose voice I admire and love is true praise indeed. And she was right to be impressed!

It's very hard to say everything that's on one's mind while soaking in the entire performance, so I don't say much while listening. I can't always follow the lyrics as closely, but what helped here is that I understand both English and French (although my French is a little rusty). Additionally, for this particular song, it was obvious after the first few lines that the lyrics will have a huge impact and they did.
Lara es la mejor interprete del mundo. Excelente voz y con un gran rango vocal domina y canta en varios idiomas. Voz de ángel.
She is not just singer, she is a song painter also, respect
Yes, a wonderful storyteller, perhaps painter is also a good way to describe her.
She is incredible....thanks appreciate your reaction
Thank you too! Yes, she is wonderful. ❤
I completely agree with you ❤
Thank you so much for your comment! ❤
you should listen to "broken vow" from the same concert you will see how talented she is
Added to the list. Thank you!
ЛАРА ❤❤❤❤❤❤
She is Belgian/Canadian and speaks fluent, English, French, Italian and Spanish and sings in many more.
Now, this a sad topic...
I can't wait to see her. I am flying from Florida, to Ottawa, to see her in person. This will be my last big tour. I'm 89, I hope I make it. Love her.
So cool! I hope you enjoy it!
I enjoyed your reaction. I hope you will continue on the Fabian trail. I’d love you to react to Caruso or Adagio
Oh, Anne, Caruso is so set by everyone at this point as my next reaction. 😉

I really like your reaction :) its genuine! Lara is amazing...
Thank you so much!! Agreed, she really is.
More information on Lara Fabian:
Lara is recognized as one of the best vocalist ever seen on earth and all professionals list her in the top vocalist tier with Barbra, Whitney, Mariah, Celine, Aretha, Shirley Bassey, Lisa Fischer, ....
So she is one of the best vocalist ever, but on top of that, she adds a few things that make her an absolute package with no equivalence:
• she speaks 2 languages natively (french, italian), and 2 others fluently (english, spanish), can speak a bit of dutch (and sicilian), and understand quite well russian and portuguese. She has sung in 12 languages in total
• she is an amazing songwriter and wrote lyrics for 200+ songs, in the 4 languages she speaks fluently. She often co-composes the music, and is at the source of the melodic line.
• she acts and performs on stage as nobody else, she colors and reveals the meaning of every single word in the songs, and her ability to emote, to draw you in is second to none
• she is the sweetest soul on earth, very humble, down to earth and benevolent. She likes to meet others, and her fans are always pleasantly surprised when this happens.
A quick background on her and her career:
She is belgian, her father is flemish and grand mother on father side is dutch, but she also has italian roots (her mother is from sicilia) and American roots ( the father of her mother is from Detroit).
Many of her songs became classics and were covered by the other singing legends: Barbra Streisand, Shirley Bassey, Josh Groban (they are friends and he told she is a role model for him), Linda Eder, …
With her success in Europe, Brazil and part of Asia, she is the inspiration of the new generation of vocalists: most of them are coming from there.
Thru their covers of Lara Fabian songs, USA and many other countries are now rediscovering her.
She is Dimash's idol:
• I’ve read somewhere that, when he was a child, he was listening her songs every night to get asleep.
• He covered many of her songs, most of these were composed by Igor Krutoy and written by by Lara.
Out of my mind I can list:
○ Adagio (She wrote it and is the original performer),
○ Mademoiselle Hyde (she wrote it and is the original performer),
○ Love of Tired Swans (she wrote the song in French under the title "Je t'aime encore" and was the original performer of the french then the russian versions, Dimash covered the russian version)
○ Ascolta La Voce / Vocalize (this was a pure vocalization and she was the original performer, then lyrics were added for Dimash and it was rebranded as "Know")
• She also wrote the lyrics of Dimash's song "Your Love".
Many other top vocalists from the current generation covered her songs, some have Lara as a role model and big inspiration (singers from every region in the world: from China and Taiwan, to Philippines, Indonesia, Russia, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Bulgaria, Turkey, Netherlands, Greece, Israel, Lebanon, Italy, France, Belgium, Norway, UK, USA, Canada, Brazil, Australia, Central Africa, …)

I did not know that RUclips is holding some comments for review (yours among a couple of others), so I only saw it (and approved it) today. Thank you again for sharing all that!
I realized that I never noted the songs by Lara you listed here, as none were requests per se. So far, I listed the 2 you clearly referred me to. Also, I am not the only one who realized you are an authority on all things Lara. Many people have mentioned you in the comment sections on my reactions to her songs.
So, I guess my question to you is which Lara's songs would you specifically recommend for me to react to. The list currently contains the following: docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1F8oqtweczdbVkIm8XsgfTLzGCHF66HAXsifBiGw0hIc/edit?resourcekey#gid=508083408. You should still be able easily spot your suggestions by looking for your handle @ericsicard910
Please feel free to include songs already on the list as well as some that are not that frequently requested, but you think are some of her best work.
@@AleksReacts will do with great pleasure but give me one or 2 days as I am traveling with a very packed agenda tomorrow
@@ericsicard910 Of course, we have all the time in the world. I hope you enjoy at least a part of your trip ("packed agenda" sounds like business).
Wishing you safe travels!
@@AleksReacts Oh, i totally agree with you, with her talent she should be popular everywhere.

I recommend that you listen to Broken Vow and Love By Grace from her English album. She is by far one of the best performers I have ever witnessed.

Oh, no! No need to apologize. It is totally fine to keep sharing information. Like you, someone else might miss the other comments and get to yours first. 😊 It can only help people to find out more about Lara. ❤

I did not know that RUclips is holding some comments for review (yours among a couple of others), so I only saw it (and approved it) today. Thank you again for sharing all that!
You'll find the conversation right here on this chain starting with "Women ¡ the person is death ¡ is poetry ¡"
So, I wanted to check if it is I who misunderstood something or if Ricardo's interpretation of the dead lover is not exactly on point.
❤
Can you watch "Requiem pour un fou" with Johnny Halliday and Lara Fabian ?
Placed it on the list. I'll do my best to get to it as soon as possible.
Lara's songs are rich and varied 15 records over 140 songs
don't be content with her early live performances from the 2000s

Women ¡ the person is death ¡ is poetry ¡
Thank you for sharing your perspective. I do agree it is poetry, but I have to respectfully disagree that the person is death. Nobody loves death in such a passionate way, no one is forgotten and ignored by death for 2+ years and no one dies for love of death. The lyrics point to a lover who consumed her world, but although she is still hopelessly in love, they no longer care for her. At least that is the way I understand it.
@@AleksReacts .. She is in denial ¡ that’s why He come and goes¡ also He is like a rock ¡ not responding ¡ think harder ¡ regards ¡
@ericsicard910 I believe we need your input here. Could you please help us resolve the meaning of Je suis malade?
I respect your view, it's just not how I hear it, maybe because people in my experience can be as unfeeling as the lyrics suggest in this song. I've asked @ericsicard910 to help us out, if there was ever an explanation from Lara or the original songwriters.
@@AleksReacts .. I’m sick ¡ that’s the translation.. If some one goes and comeback ? No need to express that way ¡ When she says : your everywhere’.. means she is pain of he’s presence ¡ the person have died less than 2 years....
17 seconds. The first time I've seen that she is giving the Q to start the song ande the pianist looked a her to give the Q to the orchestra when she stops. That is quite far from the format of Las Vegas shows.
I am not sure what you mean. Could you please clarify?
@@AleksReacts I mean the music at the beginning starts only when she starts to sing. At the end of the song the pianist stands up to make sure that he will stop at the right moment,
Thank you for clarifying!
@@AleksReacts You are welcome indeed.
The problem with Lara Fabian
Your playlist is getting fat
I'm at 76 songs and I'm far from finished 💕💕
LOL, I have many years to live (I hope), so there's still time for my playlist to get fat 😂
A song by Lara Fabian
"Ton désir" very rarely put on youtube
Which seems to have been forgotten

Your Desire
From these times, from those times,
It's raining in our shoes
It's not going so well, we whisper
Hidden under our iron armor
Tired
I want to change all that
Suddenly, an idea comes to me
A game only for you
To be a girl to imagine
Like a great bonfire
To burn, To balance
Forget the stress and the cold
I will be your desire
Your doll, your cashmere pull
Your minute of pleasure
Your desire for sweet and savoury
Your audacity, your crazy laughter
Your christmas tree in July
The song who inspires you
Do what you please with me
Happiness isn't complicated
We always have the choice
High heels and D cup,
Horizontal or not,
I want your big eyes
Deep in my cleavage of silk.
No need for 5-stars hotels
That's all in the past
And caviar is so common
I have much more for you
In preparation
Me, naked
One on top of the other, wherever you want
I will be your desire
Your doll, your cashmere pull
Your minute of pleasure
Your desire for sweet and savoury
Your audacity, your crazy laughter
Your christmas tree in July
The song who inspires you
Do what you please with me
Follow me in my craziness
I'll make you my king
My Beckham, my Shakespeare
My comic book superhero,
The important part is to laugh about it
And never forget to love each other
And never forget to love each other
I will be your desire
Your minute of pleasure
Your audacity, your crazy laughter
The song who inspires you
Do what you please of me
Do of me
Whatever pleases you
❤
