    They should call this $379 version the Integra Type R.

    Good to see you again Nick! Kansept has 3 variants of the JK Integra, 154cm g10 linerlocks, s35vn fatcarbon or timascus linerlocks, and m390 titanium framelocks. Found a 154cm red and black g10 for $39 on Amazon.

    It does allow folks who want a full Timascus type knife who can’t necessarily afford it a chance to at least experience it at an affordable price. Give em a break.

    I agree with most of what you said. The only thing I disagree with you and most reviewers on is complaints about weight. I’m 6’5 255. I’ve never handled a knife and complained about its weight. That might be just me though. Enjoyed the video. You realllllllly need to get another batch of TSA seized knives. Because the one I watched from you was honestly one of the funniest and most entertaining RUclips videos I’ve ever watched. You and Dick need to get together and do a video like that together. I might have to wear depends first that one.

      Just order a pocket sword from Maxace you’ll learn to understand weight matters….Lmao…yes you are correct sometimes light weight in this community is over analyzed. Are you looking at the knife or using it everyday? Cause weight between an 3 oz to 4oz doesn’t matter. For this reason I have friend who is a caveman electrician, I give him stuff and he destroys it. Example gave him a Kizer sheepdog xl saw it recently the bevel has waves like serrations he still uses it with his blackstone as a spatula(lol).😳…..I know right

      @@roady7420 I have a Maxace mamba and Neptune. Love them. Plan on getting a Maxace Goliath when I can afford a premium version and will EDC it. When I can afford a beastie Midgard Messer I will EDC that. lol

    Kansept (and to an extent Kizer) both have the same issue…they both do good work with G10/Micarta/aluminum and steels like 154cm and s35…but they need to practice the details. Which is something WE and Reate do better. WE/Reate still make some of the same questionable design choices, but they sweat the details and as a result ‘feel’ like expensive knives.

    Too big, too shiney, too garish, overpriced and with timascus handles it looks like a lot of the other stuff in your collection. But of course you're right, it's a racehourse saddle on a mule.

  • @tatanleanduck
    @tatanleanduck 2 часа назад

    I think you're a great reviewer, but I feel this review is a bit tone deaf. You're right in that the machining details (or lack thereof) feels like a mismatch for the design, but the entire point here is to give lower income enthusiasts access to a timascus integral. What is the competition for this knife at the price point? If it had the machining quality you're looking for and a Damasteel blade, it wouldnt be under $500. This review feels like you're saying "if you can't afford a well executed version of this design, you dont deserve to own a timascus integral."
    Of course you're clearly within your right to feel the way you do, but I don't think you're appreciating Kansept's niche. They cut corners to give brokies access to materials or designs they wouldnt be able to afford otherwise. I don't want an appropriately crafted G10 model. I want CHEAP TIMASCUS.

    5* ounces is entirely too heavy for a pocket knife. This only works if you keep it in a display case, not practical at all.
