Thank you for your review. I liked your analogy to the symphony of aldehydes and the choir of angels. I totally get that image. I love the angels but not the olfactory translation of it...whether being it aldehydes or muscs. Aldehydes easily give me migraine (so far from heaven ;-)) and an overdose of musks just makes me "nose-blind". I like my musks to be softly and sparely used. Just to be a cozy feeling not propelling me through the stratosphere. ;-) As for Musc Outreblanc, it's mainly a clean scent to me. Nothing interesting. It's a rebottled L'Heure Blanche but after several testing I have the feeling that's less nuanced, even a bit more monolithic than the already very linear L'Heure Blanche. I like my musks to be "dirtier" like Musc Ravageur or Musc Kublai Khan. When I want to wear a light scent, I rather pick a musky Cologne like Cologne du Parfumeur or the great Cologne de Mugler. That's how I like my clean musks. :-) As for the outre blanc name it is in reference to Soulage's Outrenoir and therefore it's opposite. In that regard, it's well done, since it's whiter than white. ;-)
Thanks for watching. Yes, it does seem to be intent on remaining very ‘simple’ and pure. I guess some people enjoy wearing totally ‘sheer’ scents such as this.
Recent anosmia after having the Omicron Covid has dampened my ability, temporarily, to enjoy some of my collection. Chanel 5 EDP is still thrilling me but I'm sadly nose blind to the range of exciting smells in perfume.
Oh no, so sorry to read this. From what I’ve read, it’s important to keep smelling lots of different things, in order to help everything get back to normal.
Would love it if you could review Dominque Ropion’s latest work for Regime des Fleurs. Have tried La Bas and enjoyed it. Thanks for your work as always!
Your experience appears to be in concordance with all the other reviews I have seen. Not one to blind buy if cost and expectation fulfillment are priorities. I keep waiting for someone to come back with an "eureka" moment after repeated testings and finally getting the intent of the parfumeurs.
My favorite white musk fragrance is Over the Musk by Mugler, unfortunately not in production anymore. It has this radiant cleanliness that is warm and snuggly like a wool sweather. Does anyone know any similar scent to this one?
There is a musk one from molton brown!! But can’t tell neither edp or edt version is more close to over the musk. Don’t blind buy anyway, ensure you try it 1st😅
Serge Lutens is Clair de Musc, which is one of my favorites, linearly elegant. Khiel's is a bit funky heavy and saccharine by comparison.
Yes, agreed.
Many thanks for watching.
Looking forward to the follow up. Clair de Musc is wonderful. Thanks for the review!

Thanks Mr. P. I be sniffing everything to retrain those impaired senses... Nose physio. 😀
I really feel like smelling some Chanel 22 since you mentioned that aldehyde invited "choir of angels".
No. 22 is a must try. Thanks for watching.
Guerlain originally named this perfume "Jasmin Coupable", it appeared in their early promotional videos but then it was cut and renamed.
The new name seems much more fitting.
If the smell was the same, I’m not surprised they changed the name.
Thanks for watching.

Thank you, I’ll see what I can do.
Persolaise, I love Guerlain fragrances. I will try this fragrance the next time I get a chance.
I hope you like it.
Suleika writes that outre means the opposite of white....I'm thinking 'out of this world' and ref to Spinal Tap film made me laugh. 😀
Yes 😂

No, I don’t think this is a ‘eureka’ scent. I’d definitely say it ought to be sampled rather than bought blind.
Thanks for watching.

I'm sure somebody will be able to suggest one.
Thanks for watching.

Close to Musc des Sables by les indemodables maybe?
I’d have to revisit that one.
Narciso Rodriguez Musc maybe?
No, that one is heavier, I’d say.
To me sounds like 1957. Lovely but perhaps not necessary for me.
I seem to recall that 1957 was much ‘thicker’ and more floral.
Thanks very much for watching.
@@Persolaise Ah interesting. The floral bits were the ones I enjoyed in 1957.
