The new Bentley Continental GT is here!
It retains the ever-recognisable shape of the Continental that we all know and love, but there’s one HUGE change compared to the previous edition. The W12 engine is gone, and in its place is a 4-litre twin-turbo V8 along with an electric motor!!
So let’s take a closer look at what’s changed. Starting with the design, it’s still instantly recognisable as a Continental. There are new headlights and taillights, and up the front there’s a redesigned bumper. Along the side there are extended side skirts, and the front & rear wings have been updated but are still relatively similar to before. Bentley has clearly taken inspiration from the Batur and Bacalar for this car!
Step inside and the comfort and quality are clear to see. There’s a new infotainment system and some refreshed digital dials, and as you’d expect there are soft-touch, high-quality materials throughout!
Then we come on to the engine. The all-new V8 combines with the electric motor to produce an incredible 782hp and 1,000Nm! The new Continental has the same 208hp top speed as before, and although we don’t know the weight yet, we know it won’t affect performance, as this car will fly to 60mph in just 3.3 seconds!

I think this 4th gen conti gt LOOKS better than the previous one overall. And it's certainly a better update that every other car we've seen this year.
That strip line on the headlight looks weird....should have deleted that....🤔
@@willientsali9418 i think it looks cool but maybe not befitting of a Bentley. The point of contention for me is the huge sensor on the grille. Other than that i genuinely prefer the look of it compared to previous gen.

It is not a problem that it is required by law, the problem is the designers being stupid to place it there instead of in middle towards the bottom of the grill or on either side like previous generation!

This is one car that didn't need any facelift, I mean look at it! It can't get any better than it is, and I believe it will stand the test of time without any facelifts.

It’s a mass-produced $300k gt not a $3 mil hyper car. Having a cosworth v12 would’ve made the $2mil bacalar a joke.

The new G-class looks the same but is new. This is a facelift I agree. It's like when Porsche does a 991.2 it's the same car but evolved.

They have done a fantastic job of that, I love they way it looks.
The lights front and back are horrible. What were they thinking? The front lights look like a Chevy SSR, the rear don't really have a design.
So no need for you to buy it. Nice. You just saved some money.

You didn't get the point. This is the world's first car that uses a projector for that, that's why it is animated and can technically display anything you want. Completely different thing.

Edit: I know the engine is your run of the mill VAG V8, but why does it have to sound like an Audi RS7? I get that VAG is notorious for cutting corners, but at least use a different exaust, especially for a quarter million euros. Buying modern cars is the equivalent of paying anything more than €2.50 for fast food fries: You're getting ripped off.

I don’t understand the new direction of carmakers in going smaller engine hybrid but total weight is the same as previous big engine! Yes it will have a slightly more hp and 0.2 seconds acceleration but if I tune that old big engine I can still get a better acceleration and enjoy the glorious sound!
I'm such a sucker for puddle light projectors, be in in the door like shown here or in the side sill/skirt like on the AMG GT 4 door or the new BMW M5...idk, it just looks so stunning at night time!
Other than that, I think the previous gen Continental GT looks better...the new front and rear lights (at least from a distance, up close the rear looks good, but from afar it will just look like a red dot at night) don't look as "expensive" or unique imo and the sensor unit in the front grill of the new car looks hideous!
And don't even get me started on Bentley using VW plastic buttons as seen in 5:57

Still fun to watch
I like Porsche Panamera and the Continental GT both suddenly have a new, awesome suspension system. The Panamera is a bargain when you learn the similarities with the Bentley.
Just like the previous models, I imagine you cam put it in neutral if you dont like the soft limiter

Really nice facelift. Actually the execution of the headlights are way better than the Batur and Bacalar. I still see some Audi design cues front that front bumper.

Stupid radar detection, in my experience they barely work, emergency braked me so hard in a 992 once just as the road went into an incline the radar thought someone was in front of me but in fact it was just the road, seatbelt almost cut me into 2 bits.
