You can buy powerups if you wish. There are 3, which apply per game - _Bomb Deflect_ (you can hit up to 3 bombs without penalty), _Berry Blast_ (exploding strawberries, awarding 5 more points each) and _Peachy Time_ (peaches granting 2 more seconds each).
