Y'all this place is beautiful. I'm a floral designer and live in Stafford. I have done dozens of weddings here. Worth the visit..and then head to Fredericksburg to Kenmore and much much more
This is right by my house. I live just down the road by Ferry Farm. Love this place to just hang out on a nice day. Thanks for the in depth information. Love your stuff.
Thanks that was very informative. I haven't been there in at least 5 years but now I'll be putting it my schedule this fall. I remember elementary school field trips there.
Another great video with your well researched historical information. Thank you. Adding historical photos helps viewers get a better understanding about your subject
The first time I visited, it was breathtaking, and I completely "geeked out" in the dining room, wondering what Lincoln's view was during dinner! If you can, visit during all four seasons. It is very picturesque.
Truly Enjoyed This Video! You Taking The Time To Find The 3 Graves, Showing Us The Statues & Teaching People Of Our History With The Actual Pictures Of Those Involved & Little True Stories Has Been Amazing!! I Subscribed & Will Happily View All Of Your Videos!! I'm Disabled & Homebound. Not Able To Personally Go To All Of These Places. Seriously, Thank You So Much For Sharing These Videos With Us All!! I'm In Falmouth, VA!!❤😊
@@VATravels No worries, though I doubt you could film inside the museum. However, the grounds of VMFA were once a Confederate veterans camp and the chapel they built is still standing, so you could still visit museum, but maybe do a video on the camp grounds, just a thought…
I'm going to have to watch this in increments since it's so long. Through your videos I'm learning about the only part of VA I've never been to: the Culpepper, Fredericksburg, Northern Neck areas. Nice video!
We're going to have to take another trip to Fredericksburg. We are definitely adding Chatham Manor to the list! We do have to go back and visit the Kenmore Plantation. We didn't have time after visiting Monroe's museum and Mary Washington's home. We absolutely enjoy your videos. Thank you!
Another great video. My wife and I are from Michigan and have visited Chatham a couple of times. We are always looking for more great sites in Virginia.I would like to know your top choices of plantations to visit on our next trip.
@@jamesdte91 welcome to VA. Of course Mount Vernon and Monticello. I would go to Charles City where you can visit Berkeley and Shirley plantations, John Tyler‘s Sherwood Forest and Westover. Gunston Hall and Stratford Hall are other good ones in Virginia. Have fun!
@@VATravels Thanks for the tips on sites to visit. We really envy you and the people of Virginia for having so much of this country’s early history in your state.Keep up the good work with the channel!

One of the owners of Chatham Manor, Lillian Thomas Pratt, donated her incredible Fabergé collection to the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts in Richmond.
Awesome…enjoyed! Thank you for taking me along and being so knowledgeable 👍🏻‼️

I attended Governor's School back in 1980 at Mary Washington up in Fredericksburg, Virginia. Thanks for the great videos.

It's well worth the visit!
That is an old gas pump with underground tank
The item you asked about is an old glass top fuel pump.
Excellent. I wish you could do Mosneck Manor. But I know it's privately owned. So you probably couldn't get in there
I hear sometimes they have Civil War events there. I'm keeping an eye out!
