    Loved this! Have you had much experienc with the newer boss loopers? I got the volca drumm, and am wanting to sync the loops to that drum machine so I can keep the filters and automation available on the drum hits...

      Hey thank you so much! So no, the only Boss looper I've personally owned is the RC-30. What you need is a looper with MIDI sync capabilities, specifically ones that can send "MIDI clock out". This is because the Volca drum can only receive MIDI information, but it can't send out a tempo, so your loop pedal has to be the "master". The Volcas can all be synced among other volcas using Sync In and Out, but for anything outside of the brand, it's gotta be MIDI. I think the only Boss loopers that can do this are the Rc-505 (MKi and MKii) or the RC-600. I totally get you, by having the drum machine going at the same tempo but not actually getting looped, you can keep dynamically changing the sound of the drums without changing the sound of the loops! Hope this helps :)

    Nice im looking for information on how to use my volca drum with my boss rc20 and my concertmate 990

    • @NumberJuanSpot
      @NumberJuanSpot  2 года назад

      The boss rc20 only has one instrument input, so you can connect one instrument directly to it via a 1/4” cable to loop, or you’ll need a mixer like I show in the video in order to connect multiple instruments to it. Hope that helps!

    Good job bro!! Anyway of syncing pedal tempo to synth.. ?

    • @NumberJuanSpot
      @NumberJuanSpot  Год назад +1

      Thanks man! Good question. With this equipment there is no way to do that. You would need a looper pedal with MIDI sync. Some can send “clock” (the tempo), some can only receive clock from an external synth or drum machine. But without any MIDI, there is no way to sync a looper pedal with another synth.

    Dude, sounds awesome, congratz!
    I Have one question, which is that equipment that get all instruments to one input of that rc 30? I really don't know how to put more than 2 instruments through rc 30 :(

      Hi Luis, thank you so much man! Yeah good question, you will need a mixer. Here I am using the Behringer Micromix MX400 which allows me to plug in four 1/4' inputs (in other words, four instruments), control their volumes, and pass all that sound out of just one 1/4" output so I can connect it to the RC 30. There are other mixers out there, but this one is super cheap and perfect for this use!

    Sounds good man, a fun little jam. Quick question .... Are you using the Behringer headphone amp backwards and as a mixer?

    • @NumberJuanSpot
      @NumberJuanSpot  2 года назад

      Thanks man! So the little Behringer micro mixer has no headphone port, only four line inputs and one line output. The other bigger 3 channel Behringer mixer does have a headphone port so I can listen to exactly what I'm outputting. I'm not sure what you mean by backwards, does that answer your question though?

    Hi ! what's the name of the machine on top of the Korg Monologue. Where you connect the instruments that will reach the pedal boss RC-30. I would greatly appreciate your answer. That's just what i need

      Hi there! That's the Behringer MicroMix MX400. It's a cheap little 4 channel mixer that will allow you to plug in 4 different instruments and have one cable running out. And yes, then you can plug that one output into the BOSS RC-30 and loop them all!

    Hello, how is it possible to connect the MIDI controller to the Boss RC 30 loop? I appreciate your answer in advance.

    • @NumberJuanSpot
      @NumberJuanSpot  3 года назад +1

      Hey there! Unfortunately no, the BOSS RC-30 does not have any way to connect MIDI to it. You would have to upgrade to something like the BOSS RC-505 which does have MIDI capability.

    • @bryancires2966
      @bryancires2966 3 года назад

      @@NumberJuanSpot I understand, how do you make the MIDI controller that you have on the table work? Or is it not a MIDI controller?

    • @NumberJuanSpot
      @NumberJuanSpot  3 года назад +1

      @@bryancires2966 Yeah so no nothing in this set up is connected by MIDI! All the instruments are just producing sounds when I play the,, and those sounds are running into the looper, where I can capture them and loop them. Without MIDI, I have to play everything in time. There is no quantization or MIDI-sync to clock in this particular set up - just a bunch of stuff connected to the looper.

    • @bryancires2966

      @@NumberJuanSpot Excuse me, with the word midi I mean the KORG controller, is it not connected by MIDI?

    • @NumberJuanSpot
      @NumberJuanSpot  3 года назад

      @@bryancires2966 Yeah the KORG Monologue just has an 1/4" audio cable running out of it to the looper, no MIDI connected here. Same with the KORG Volca Beats, it's a 1/8" to 1/4" audio cable running to the looper. Both have MIDI capabilities, I'm just not using them here!
