For me, I was never a fan of the colorized Season 1, it looked like they colorized it with a magic marker, incorrect costumes and set pieces, Jeannie's costume in the pilot episode (in the scene where Tony asks where Jeannie was from and she blinks Tony's house to how it would've looked had he lived in her time) is colorized red and pink, when it originally Green, Jeannie's bottle was colorized Purple, when it as well was Green, Tony's phone was Green, not Red, just stuff like that. But it was colorized in 2000.
I am not a fan of colorizing black and white episodes either.
I have season one in colour on DVD. It's all we could get here in the UK at the time when they were released, unless I ordered the B/W version from the US. Anyway, I quite like the colourised version. Technology has got so much better now when they do the colourising that you'd never know that something was originally shot in B/W if you were none the wiser.
Thanks for the comment. I like having the option to choose between B&W and the color versions.
Season 1 was my favorite season. It had, to me, the best episodes of the entire series. I love the black-and-white version. I did like the opening credits from episodes 2-7, where it shows clips from the pilot episode on how they met in the credits.
I like that also.
Great comparison Tony I prefer the colored version
I was surprised to see the differences. I like the color version also.
I like both without b&w version there would of not made it into color because of the time period. Some other mentions Daniel Boone
Bewitched
Gilligan’s island
The Adventures of Superman
Hogan’s Heroes
Etc
It gives it classic timeless times gone by charm to it and it gives you piece history to.
I love all of those also. I am a fan of the old B&W shows.
