Great video! At long last, amanual flight (and manual thrust) approach and landing, from several miles away! FD disconnected later on as well! Bravo!! Makes your video far more enjoyable to watch. Does your airline encourage manual flight to keep the practice, by any chance? To my knowledge there are airlines that discourage it.
Thanks for the comment, some airlines have their policies about it, here we don't have a problem as long as we are responsable about it and is a great practice so we dont loose flying skills. Saludos!
En algún momento podrían o sería posible subir un video de la aeronave en la famosa frase ''Cold And Dark'' desde arranque por Baterias, APU o por Poder externo hasta el arranque de motores, o donde se les sea posible?
Flying a raw data ILS is harder than it looks 😂 not to mention the fact that he was using manual thrust in what looked like slightly gusty conditions as well. It’s quite a significant increase in workload for pilots in comparison to a standard ILS approach or just following the FD. Think the FO did a pretty good job to be honest.
@@madmaxaviation Yeah, this wasn't a typical "manual" control. Normally, you would still have the Autothrust on until touch down. But this was a No Autothrust + No Flight Director. Autothrust was off for way before the short final too. A real manual haha.
We had a little tailwind on final and on the A330 it really affects the performance. It was a good practice for him, as we almost never practice no Autothrust no Flight Directors, it is somewhat complicated to do an ILS RAW data. Saludos!

Hahaha its hard to rate a landing, all landing that you can walk from are good landings. This one looks hard because of the camera shaking but it was a good landing. Besides the FO is probably reading this hahaha Saludos Carlos!

Why no auto brk? Manual braking computed on fly smart or auto brk inop? Greetings 🤘🏻
Because we use the last exit, so to not overheat the brakes is better to use manual braking and let it run to the end. Saludos!
