€60 per cigar!!! If you are going to whale yourself that much you might as well go for a Cohiba Talisman or a Cohiba Behike. This is just Habanos cashing in on rich Chinese businessman
60 Euros?! My god... There's just no way a R&J is worth the same as a top shelf Cohiba or 3 Trinidads. That price is absurd. I'm generally apprehensive of R&J. It feels like they're more concerned with gimmick than anything else, which by the way is certainly true for Davidoff. So if that's where they draw their inspiration, I'm not a fan. I bought a 2017 box of 25 Short Churchills last year, and the quality (from the same box) has been all over the place. Uneven and unrefined/chaotic profile. I feel like I'm drawing a lottery ticket every time I grab one. To some extent you could say that about most Habanos I guess, but R&J has been more uneven for me than other brands. Maybe they'll age well long term. I did order a box of Trinidad Esmeraldas though, and I have high hopes for those :) Thanks for the review.
They only do this, atleast in some European countries, with very expensive and rare cigars. They place a designed and good quality cardboard box around it where the health warnings are placed. You won't see this on many regulars or even limitada's
I've had mixed results with RyJ for years. Occasionally the draw is way too tight or too loose. I think I'd rather smoke a Trinidad Vigia, although there are some really good sticks in non-cubans as well, ie. AJ Fernandez New World, Blanco NINE, pretty much all Padrons etc.
Good and honest review ... the price is quiet the same in France. As my wife, who smokes cigars too, is "rat" according to chinese horoscop, I bought one box of Davidoff and one of Maya Selva. Maybe I will try the Romeo y Julieta if I can find it here by stick. Last year was the year of the pig and Cohiba did a special edition as they dit one year ealier for the dog ... Am I wrong or no Cohiba/year ot he pig was released this year? Any explanation?
So sad to charge so much for a cigar that isn’t even ready to smoke. I say this is a fail for Habanos SA. Leave the zodiac releases to Davidoff, they are a much better value.
Excellent review. Thanks for the suggestion to sit on these for a while (assuming I can find a stick or two). As a daily smoker rather than a collector, aging cigars is tough. Keep up the great work.
The audio is fine for this format. I have tinnitus and react very negatively to sharp sound and I'm not bothered here. It's clear and pretty good considering the horrible acoustics in that space. Not everyone have to have a professional studio set up you know, that's complete overkill for most people. If he were to go down that path, he'd have to have a proper audio room too, and how much of a hassle (and money) do you think the man should have to go through to record some simple cigar review videos? So you've entered the world of professional audio with all the streamers and RUclipsrs who record audio for a living. Good for you. Now let people who are actually NOT doing that be. (unless of course it's really bad, which this is certainly not).

Just smoked a customers cigar?
Love your content / channel. And really impressive what you've done with the shop - hope to sit with you there one day.
Come on Dirk. We need more videos...please!
Appreciate the honesty of your review. I'm not a collector or reseller, so this is an easy pass for me.
How to get cigar vanilla box. I don''t like smoking warning sticker.

Laughed when you check the draw and say no draw 😂😂😂

If aged, it will certainly get the job done. Still, I wouldn't buy a box per personal preference

Ayyye, I met the italian guy who made that cutter. Cool guy, and such a great cutter.
Did the box come with the red RJ description paperwork? I did not see it on the video. Thanks
Just got my 8 sticks yesterday, gonna wait 6 months to try the first one!
Thanx for the review! Salutation from München
Great video. But ha banks did it with Cohiba year of the dog Maduro 5 magics and secretos.
No that was done by a importer. Not officially by Habanos it self like this.

Great review!! thanks.

人傻钱多速来
Great vids, if I can give you one advice, the audio is very sharp, can you use a better mic?
