Agree, definitely most the overlooked and technically, the most complex and sophisticated. They had broken from past with this work, it's so sad that this was the beginning of a tragic end. Joey Molland still tours by the way.
Dear Pete Ham, although my world is sadder and lonelier Without You, I find solace in the wonderful songs you wrote and recorded during your 27 short years on the planet. They are theraputic, they are inspirational, they are marvellous songs and performances. I discovered Badfinger through my lifelong love affair with The Beatles and boy has it been rewarding! I had those LPs revolve on my turntable Day After Day. I immersed myself in the grooves and derived extraordinary bliss. Infectious sound. Power Pop Perfection! To me, you were the most-gifted member of the band. The beauty of the music you created is Timeless and I Keep Believing your soul will Shine On No Matter What.
The same thing is happening to you. My eternal love for The Beatles led me to discover this band and I can't stop listening to their records, they are really great. I'm discovering a new universe right now
removed ,,due to contract disputes,,,,all about bloody money and shit management,,,sad history, this band,,,and one of the best ever to ever come out of wales,,fantastic band
Great opening track to what is a really great yet unknown album. Is one of my all time favourite albums....and I am a fussy bastard. Pete Ham - simply a genius. The Beatles should have recruited him when McCartney left!
I was the first love of his LIFE and he was the apple of my eye we could not keep are hands off each OTHERS would like to say you are like John and Yoko. We wouldn't get out of bed till late next day but it was Real Love. Are love for music was the SAME. He was always laughing with me making me laugh at him.
I missed out on having a copy of "Wish You Were Here" because I found out about that one after it was pulled off the shelves. So glad they put it out on CD since then so I have it now. Definitely one of their best albums in my opinion. I still listen to it a lot these days. Such great music!
The ending from 2:10 is just PHENOMENAL. Only the Beatles could think of an epic ending like that. They hit their writing stride on this album. Too bad ............................
Almost as sad as the deaths of Pete and Tom is the fact that the despicable Stan Polley, the scoundrel who plundered and destroyed these good men and this brilliant band, outlived them both by more than 25 years and died at the ripe old age of 87. Hopefully, nowadays he is enjoying his eternal home in one of the inner circles of Purgatory.
thought this was about love but it seems like it's about their attempts to make music. So actually, I guess it is about love... But all we want from you is just a chance to try Any way we can Don't you think we know it has to hurt Won't you understand?
the most overlooked and easily the Best badfinger album!!!

I rank their Wish You Were Here album among the TOP 10 of all-time! Almost
perfect :)
Four individuals, each one a fine musiciand and songwriter. This song and album, are out of the ordinary. Should have been hits.
How was this song not a hit
Wish You Were Here, Warner Bros. PULLED this record from the shelves, but not before I received one for Christmas, '74.
Love to hear more about this Ron
ron butler that's actually good to hear.
Still have my LP
removed ,,due to contract disputes,,,,all about bloody money and shit management,,,sad history, this band,,,and one of the best ever to ever come out of wales,,fantastic band
You lucky son if a gun.
What a rocker!! Harmonies to easily equal CSN&Y. This band was really brilliant.x
I think their lead guitar is pure genius. They all literally kill it all musically because they never miss a chord or are out of tune. TIGHT 🎉
Great opening track to what is a really great yet unknown album. Is one of my all time favourite albums....and I am a fussy bastard. Pete Ham - simply a genius. The Beatles should have recruited him when McCartney left!
@Oscar Chile ...sure, take over bass, Tom back to rhythm guitar, and sack Joey Molland
This could've been a #1 hit.
I love this song so much; the guitar riff, the solo, it’s just a hard-rocking song for me. Fantastic first track of Wish You Were Here.
Badfinger ! you wont find a much better band than this, no matter what decade you choose.
I love how the bass kicks into this track. Just “lifts” the whole song.x
Roll the windows down and play it LOUD!!!

ANOTHER PETE HAM AWESOME SONG. BADFINGER WERE SO GREAT.
Absolutely top shelf powerpop.

this is nothing short of magic.
Peter Ham where ever you are, you will be Shining....
The ending from 2:10 is just PHENOMENAL. Only the Beatles could think of an epic ending like that. They hit their writing stride on this album. Too bad ............................
Класс.
First heard this on a rhino records Poptopia compilation- damn what a catchy song.
Pete Ham was a god of sorts. Beautiful.
And he was from Swansea too! #BadfingerRock
Are minds that small?
Sounds a bit like the opening tune of "Friends".:)) Great song! Great band!
Kinda know what you mean

Y amigos de the Beatles...¡ que mejor !... pero habia un sino sobre ellos ...😢
thought this was about love but it seems like it's about their attempts to make music. So actually, I guess it is about love...
But all we want from you is just a chance to try
Any way we can
Don't you think we know it has to hurt
Won't you understand?
Actually, it is about his relationship with Anne Ferguson (wife of roadie Ian Ferguson.)
The opening of this sounds a lot like Wah Wah imo.
harrison at 33 secs
Qué pena de banda. Hubieran sido de los mejores 😢
Snuffed out by pink floyd.
it was a beatle band, promoted by apple
Kind of foreshadows Oasis!
Fantastic
The Beatles should have replaced McCartney with him right at the start.
