    If I select 2D space dimension and laminar flow (spf) module, do navier stokes equations is solved in cartesian coordinate system or cylindrical coordinate system? Is there any way that simulating a 2d pipe flow not using 2d axisymmetrical space dimension?
    Thanjs

    Hello,
    Can you please help me with a cfd simulation similar to this? I want to simulate gas flow in a cylindrical chamber using transport dilute/concentrated species . I have mostly done it but there are few parameters I do not understand. Can you please help me with this? I need to understand the mixing/diffusion and time taken for the gases to fill in the chamber. Please help.

    Hi cool video. I want to simulate the same but with the natural gas. What should i do ?
    Thanks in advance

      Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed the video. To simulate the same model with natural gas, you’ll need to make a few adjustments:
      Material Properties: Update the material properties to represent natural gas instead of the default fluid. You can either select a pre-defined natural gas material from COMSOL's library or manually enter the properties (e.g., density, viscosity).
      Flow Conditions: If the flow conditions (like pressure or temperature) are different for natural gas compared to the original setup, make sure to modify them accordingly.
      Boundary Conditions: Check if any boundary conditions need to be adjusted based on the behavior of natural gas in your specific system.
      Feel free to ask if you need more detailed steps!

    Hello Sir, very good video. I want to know, how to know the function like what will it be, and for what parameter we need to write a function... Please explain. Thank you.

      Thank you for you comment. The mathematical functions that we use in comsol modeling are taken from literature and even you can define your own function if you know the problem statement entirely. It can be a contnious or piecewise function depending on the problem and the type parameters depend on the type of study you want to solve, it can be stationary or time-dependent.

    What is the inlet velocity and final outlet velocity?

    • @LearnwithSAI
      @LearnwithSAI  2 месяца назад

      The velocity is defined as an analytical function (refer to the video at 3:01), and the outlet boundary condition is set to zero pressure.

    Sir can you please tell me from which research paper or article I can find the velocity function which you have mentioned in this video.

      Please consider this velocity funation: 𝑈𝑖𝑛𝑙𝑒𝑡=[8 sin( 𝑡𝜋/6)+12]

    do we have to set analytic in parameter as in my case it is showing undefined variable

    • @LearnwithSAI
      @LearnwithSAI  8 месяцев назад

      Yes, please pause the video and insert those parameters in your model. Alternatively, I will share the file of parameters soon.

    Is there a way to get flow rate?

    • @LearnwithSAI
      @LearnwithSAI  Год назад +1

      Yes, you can calculate the flow rate by multiplying the velocity field function with the area (dx*dy).
