Yoki, the SA mags are metal and they recommend you upgrade the mag release to a metal one to prevent wear from metal on plastic, so PSA mags are plastic where the mag release is 👍🏾

Great review. I have only had 1 malfunction with my Dagger Micro ,when a left handed coworker was shooting it and it locked back with ammo still in the magazine. I reckon his hand pushed the slide stop up under recoil. I have about 450 rounds thru it to include fmj and hollow points between 115 and 147 grains. I did oil mine up first though. Also the reason for the polymer on the front of the magazine is to not wear the magazine release. With the shield arm magazines you are supposed to replace the magazine release with a metal one. Im sure when it is cleaned and oiled it will run. Thanks again for another great video and review. Cheers

I have seen some people mention it but the magazines have the polymer cover so it works with the polymer mag release. I wouldn't use the shield arms mags with the factory plastic release because it can damage it. Also you could try the micro dagger slide on the 43x and the 43x slide on the micro dagger frame and see if one has the same issues then you can assume the problem is with that piece and can helo you figure out what's wrong.

Ran my Taurus with 115 gr FMJ Blazer Brass, and had some failures, but it totally ate the Hornady American Gunner FTX JHPs I ran without fail. Funny thing is, I cleaned and oiled the gun before running it, and the range gun of the same model ate the same Blazer Brass that I used when mine was having failures. Maybe there is a break-in period. I'll see when I run it again.
Great tutorial.... I suspect using all metal clip, because the combination of polymer & metal clip maybe causing friction issues as opposed to full metal clip. Salute to both you guys for another awesome podcast. Chicago
Sorry you had issues with your Micro Dagger Yoki. I have the Micro C-1 and have the slick mags from PSA and have had no failures of any kind. It’s been flawless. Loved the Spanish near the end especially when you got frustrated with the failure. Hope you get your Micro issue worked out.
All I have is 320’s and daggers 1.5 micro daggers never have any issues except when I throw the can on them. I use cheap brass still never have issues with feed or ejecting. I usually dry fire them and oil before the first range use.
The reason the PSA mags have the polymer (shield) is so that U can still use standard Glock polymer magazine releases unlike with the shield Arms mags where U have to get a metal mag release. If U use polymer mag catch on metal mags, or vice versa, the metal will eventually eat away the polymer.

I’m going to say it again Glocks are the AK-47 of the pistol world. Just missing the sight. But that’s OK I always just change my sights to the Trijicon HD or HD XR.

At my ccw class I brought my 43x and 2 of my friends brought their micro daggers and they both had failures to feed and issues while my 43x was singing,to the point they had to borrow my 43x to finish the class. I have the 43x with the micro dagger mag and a +2 extension and never had a issue with it. My opinion those micro daggers suck
Yoki try the 43X Glock magazines. I have a PSA Compact Dagger which came with pmags and they suck!!! Every time I began to get a good roll on shooting the same thing you were going through with the mags was the same thing o was experiencing no matter what ammo I used. I used two Glock 19 mags with my Dagger and ever since that day my Dagger has performed like a dream.
I bought a dagger s frame for $49.99 sometime last year and never bothered to finish the build, since I’ll never carry a psa. It was supposed to be a range toy. But now, I’m thinking I should have gotten the compact or micro frame before the prices increased.

If your gona use the shield mags, you should change to a metal mag catch. Glocks have plastic mag catches, which is why the factory mag has a plastic sleeve.
My dagger micro shot about 150 rounds so far no hang ups. But....I noticed mine the slide somewhat hangs up and the recoil spring snaps off its ledge and you can hear it plain as day and feel it even as it feels like a trigger reset. I think another 150 rounds and something is going to happen to cause it to go back. Right now sadly my CCW hopes with this is dead too. Back to the Bul Armory 4.25 as my carry.
Would you recommend this firearm for women? Seemed like it handled well for what it is. I have been looking at this for my wife and I wanted the original G19 sized one as back up. I gotta get my butt back to the range. Since having surgery on my foot, done a lot of dry fire practicing lately. Just found a newer out door range on my side of town in Cincinnati. Waiting for my doctor to give me the okay to at least go to the range. Not testing out the AR just yet with this one leg cart for post surgery mobility. Has all terrain wheels on it, guess I could get away if down hill a bit.😂😂😂
Why people here are trying to make excuses for this 💩 gun? How can you rely on a firearm that jams every few rounds? Any gun with that many malfunctions out the box, in my opinion, is a piece of crap. And no, it was obviously not the ammo… Would you be confident carrying that gun to protect your life and your love ones? I guess it’s true what they say.. “you get what you pay for”. It's all the tight tolerances. Spring frame... All new. I recommend racking the slide a lot to get things right.

I have a 43x. Have failures with the SA version 2 mags. No issues with the Glock OEM. I suggest trying the Glock OEM.
PSA mags work well. The Shield arms have shown to have issues. Try the X series, it is the G-48 size.
