- In an ambitious push to space the Union Cabinet approved space missions totalling Rs 31,772 crores paving the way for the roadmap for the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) till almost 2040. The Chandrayaan-4 mission; a mission to Venus; and the enhanced Gaganyaan mission to include the Bhartiya Antariksha Station; and the development of the new mighty rocket all got approval from the Union Cabinet led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the first hundred days of his third term. Speaking to NDTV ISRO Chairman Dr S Somanath said "India's ambitious space vision and roadmap have now been given the wings to fly high."

If I am not wrong this journalist was the same person who shouted very badly at a isro senior scientist when chandrayan 1 failed to land? He was very indecent. Why Somnath ji is atall giving him the interview? He should be banned by isro to cover their missions.
I guess he had a different master at NDTV. Many of our journalists are like dogs with a collar around the neck with a chain hooked and held by the master, Whomsoever masters points these dogs will bark. So much for the individual integrity of these so called journalists.

The interviewer should let the chairman answer questions without assuming the answers. It almost seems like the interviewer is trying to show off his knowledge of space rather than wait for answers.

People who are otherwise unemployed and have too much unproductive, free time to spend on the internet keep their brains busy by outraging over every simple and small thing and commenting. Still 10 yeras behind China. WE need to land humans in the moon by late 2030s not 2040 not 2045. China will have a Base on the moon by then. Let us create a roadmap towards that end. Human space flight, space station, a space shuttle. China built a National bullet train network in a little over 10 years stretching 40000 km. India we are not even finished the Ahmedabad one. We need a whole national network connecting all 6 metro cities before 2035. Also Indian astrophysics and Gravitational wave observatory, telescopes, Fusion research.

Indian Hanumans should be focussing on the Olympic medals and the space program must be all scientific.
That is how a space program, just like ours, works. On a scientific basis, without which it cannot succeed. Same for the performance in Olympics and Paralympics. Obviously some random school dropout commenting on RUclips most probably lacks the intelligence to understand, which is why. 'Science' has become a word randomly thrown around by the lowly sections of the society.
