This is call Sargam. As he sang so fast, you need to listen on slow motion to hear clear notes. Apart from this guy only late Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan could sing it like this.
✨🙏✨ This song, this video changed my life.. As a lover of the energy and spiritual essence of Qawalli, the great NFAK (Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan) I'd seen other qawwali groups and enjoyed them then about a year ago I simply searched on youtube for best Qawalli music today and @zainzohabmusic came up.. I got tingles, still do every time. It was one of those moments where time stops and you know you're witnessing somthing outstanding. I'm blessed to know of them. They're such humble, spiritual guys, living their faith it's beautiful to see. Really happy to see they've seen this and you have your answers. It's going to be amazing to see them travel further abroad with their music. Australia hopefully and Asia too the world is opening its heart to them. 👌
They are qawwali singers so they have been trained in indian classical music, ragas etc. and qawwali singing specifically from early childhood, probably from 4 or 5 years age. That's how it traditionally is in classical musical families or gharanas as they are called.
No they are all trained in classical indian music, and specifically in qawwali music, which is part of classical music. As u watch more qawwali musicians you will find that qawwals generally have really strong carrying voices. That is because they are trained to sing to large noisy outdoor crowds at sufi shrines. Their voices have to carry above the crowds.
Great reaction, so it is a sargam, and they use the notations sa re ga ma pa dha ni based on the raag the qawwali is in, as well is the sounds of the table, which we call "bols".
That was sargam.and that in which you are interested was something that Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan did when he sings sargam. If you are trying to listen proper sargam you should Listen Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan.
if you have time, id reccomend you watch this performance of theirs ruclips.net/video/VljsspqORnA/видео.html, they're brothers with relation to one of Nusrat's party members, and you'll get a better chance of understand the art of qawalli and the importance of rhythm in it, and a reaction would be great :)
