Gixxer, baby! So much YES!!! Next...radiator and oil cooler guards. Next...cut weight and complexity costing next to nothing. PAIR system removal and block off plates. Re-route crank case breather hose from into airbox to atmosphere while cappping off airbox. If this bike has it, remove fuel vapor charcoal system while vacuum capping intakes. Completely remove exhaust servo system. No servo buddy needed with ECU flash which is next, along with full exhaust. Tell ECU flasher EVERYTHING. What's been removed from bike, where you live, what exhaust and air filter you're running,.... Keep stock paper air filter. Don't even go K&N, let alone Sprint. Slight performance gains aren't worth loss of superior filtration a stock paper filter gives. Finally, AiM dash. Any money left? If so use for brakes. Start with front pads and front master cylinder. Stock suspension gets it done for street riding and casual track days. Just make sure preload, compression, and rebound are set correctly for your weight and type of riding.
Sort out the brakes: brembo master cylinder/ braided lines/ brembo z04 pads. Full yoshimura r11 system and tune. Some nice led turn signals front. I would spent the rest on gilles tooling rearset instead of a dash :)
It's nice to see you are wokring on a GSXR! Generally I see you are working mostly with BMWs and Ducatis. Ya, the tail section is a bit tricky to get the tail fairing back on but once you learn it, it shouldn't take long next time onwards. I got the 2023 version and heavily modified it to look way different than how it came from the factory. :)
One step closer to a Hayabusa for the channel. In my opinion, go with a Brocks full exhaust system. My 24 CBR1000RR has the same pain the ass process for removing the plate fender. The Busa was super easy, no need for a tail tidy, & removing of plastics. The bracket that holds the plate is your tail tidy
Eager to see where you take this one Manny, new tail looks great. As a taller rider(6ft+) I almost always go for a double bubble windscreen, just easier to get tucked down behind
I like the o.e.m. Rims. Mods I would do, Shorty brake and clutch levers, flush mount turn signals, rizoma mirrors, seat cover with gsxr logo, chain & rear sprocket, Gafler front and rear brake rotors, Core Moto braided brake lines, slip on exhaust of full system if budget allows.
@@Motomillion I hear ya on that. This is where the quality of Jap bike start really showing compared to the Italian one's tho. For $20k, you are in RSV4 territory and with another $5k you can do a fairly good amount of mods on the Ape. All in, $25k. Needs nothing else.
If it were my bike I would to the blinkers, slip-on, passenger seat cover, remove passengers peg, radiator cover, frame sliders and would call it a day. Maybe some brake lines but thats bonus. Look kinda OK, not the usual Ducati or Aprillia design but its nice.
The 1st 5 parts you installed on the aprilia tuono are over $4k lol over winter I will save every dollar I can then buy everything you installed in phase #1!
Wheels, exhaust and rizoma stealth mirrors! Id love having this and im not a huge fan of the suzuki anymore.. had a 2009 a few years back. I belive that for 20k this bike will be amazing🙌🏼
I'd probably add a Nitron N3 shock, maybe change the front fork oil, add some crash protection, and call it a day. Adding things like tail tidy's, ECU flash, and aftermarket exhaust generally makes the bike a lot less durable. It's so easy to mess up the electrics when installing a tail tidy.
20K? Ohlins TTX shock, forks, damper, master cyl. Red carrozzeria anodized wheels with pilot power tires, brembo HP front calipers, brembo bottom mount rear caliper, gilles red and black rearsets and chain adjusters, m4 shorty full exhaust, ecu flash, rizoma mirrirs, R&G aero sliders, carbon frame, swingarm covers and fenders adding one in the back, red stainless steel brake lines all over, red anodized bolts and screws throughout..
Suzuki gel seat or a Corbin would be great. Adjustable clip-ons. Adjustable rear sets. I have flipped the plates so it moves the pegs down for touring.
So disappointed you cheaped out on this build but not surprised. Why spend money on a cheap bike? There’s nothing unique or interesting about this build. I was really interested to see how good the GSXR could become given the investment and really compare how good it is against the bmw and ducatis when given the chance with comparable parts.
We always do Phase 1, that is sensible, than we do more. The Phase 1 for this project will be budget restricted since it was a great idea that was suggested by one of our viewers!
@@donationsaccepted4767 I'm talking about road bikes, or SBKs, not MotoGPs. However in SBK, European bikes have been winning the championship for a long time.

All spot on, where did you run the hose for your crank case breather? Without making a mess everywhere with oil residue
This is great info. Anywhere we can see some instructions for the pair system and crank case upgrades you are speaking of?
Pretty spot on except for the Brakes. Do that first the brakes are fuckin garbage.
Sort out the brakes: brembo master cylinder/ braided lines/ brembo z04 pads. Full yoshimura r11 system and tune. Some nice led turn signals front. I would spent the rest on gilles tooling rearset instead of a dash :)
We may be thinking alike on most of them.

Wasn’t hard, just a lot to remove. Not complaining though.
Loving this build it will definitely be inspiring my build.
Love from London! 🇬🇧
Thank you! Really appreciate you guys taking your time to show your support by commenting!
This bike is gonna look amazing with an cool exhaust 👌🏻
We hope to please you!
Great start 👍looking forward to the next mods. Nice t-shirt btw 💪
Thank you!
Big fan of this challenge! Not everyone has $40k to spend on bikes
We hope you enjoy it!
Yes Sir Mani !!!! ….. 4/1 exhaust !!! , like the Old days !!!! …. Big fan of your channel !!!!.
Thank you!
The hands of a Surgeon. 🙏
That may be an exaggeration but thank you!
@@Motomillion
All in good taste nonetheless. Well done.
Loving the suzuki content. Keep them coming 💪
More to come! Thank you for the comment!
Lightec rearsets and mat carbon frame/swingarm covers 👌🥰
Those are great suggestions!
Looking great, I love that windscreen!!! Great start to the build bro! 🦾
Thank you! We are excited to get this under way.

i look forward to this series please upload more
Nice Tshirt Mani 😎 I have a big soft spot for Suzuki, some of my favourite bikes have been from that brand. Thumbs up for this build from the UK 👍🏻
Thank you Nick!
Nice start 👏
Thanks for the support!
Bike needs a Full M4 Exhaust system with an ECU flash. 🔥
Needs brakes before all of that.
Eager to see where you take this one Manny, new tail looks great.
As a taller rider(6ft+) I almost always go for a double bubble windscreen, just easier to get tucked down behind
Thank you, we are eager to see how good it can get with a limited budget!

No shortys 🙅
Good list. We are going to go one step above with the brake lines.
Cool first steps. Can't wait to see the budget trade offs. Can't do everything for this budget so where do you prioritize 😂
Great observation. This is the same questions we were asking when we were trying to make our parts list.
Like the ducati keyring
Someone noticed it (:
Please get some jet prime switches for this beauty. And a racing upper triple tree to enhance the look of the cockpit.
Let's see what the budget allows.
$4k. ECU tune. Exhaust. Mirrors. Levers. Rear Sets. Tail kit.
The brakes are top priority. It is really not acceptable.
@@Motomillion I hear ya on that. This is where the quality of Jap bike start really showing compared to the Italian one's tho. For $20k, you are in RSV4 territory and with another $5k you can do a fairly good amount of mods on the Ape. All in, $25k. Needs nothing else.

The looks are nice I think, the lack of wings makes it more old school looking. Brakes are priority number 1 though!
A Yoshimura R55 or Arrow Race Pro would be dope on this
Time will tell…
The 1st 5 parts you installed on the aprilia tuono are over $4k lol over winter I will save every dollar I can then buy everything you installed in phase #1!
We are not even finished with it!
@ oh I know. There are endless possibilities out there with parts to be added! Mine will get there eventually!
Wheels, exhaust and rizoma stealth mirrors! Id love having this and im not a huge fan of the suzuki anymore.. had a 2009 a few years back. I belive that for 20k this bike will be amazing🙌🏼
Wheels are not possible with this budget.
@ uuuh i saw a comment further down, brakes huh?🤒 thats right brakes on the gixxer arent great😅
I like the Suzuki T-Shirt! Where can I get that?😎
Should be on our website today by the afternoon.
@ still can’t find it unfortunately 😐
That exhaust needs a replacement ASAP !
We agree.
Exhaust, tune and brakes next
Brakes for sure!
I would go for: fender eliminator, screen, levers ,different blinkers, full yoshi exhaust, ecu flash, braided lines, brembo rcs, calipers.
That would be cutting it very close.

Never seen an electrical problem with high quality plug and play units in my lifetime…
@@Motomillion I wonder what is more reliable; stock units or high quality plug and play units.
Congratulations on winning the Ballon Dor last night🔥😅
What is that?
@ it’s an award for the best soccer player internationally. Last night Rodri won it and I was just making a joke that he resembles you
20K? Ohlins TTX shock, forks, damper, master cyl. Red carrozzeria anodized wheels with pilot power tires, brembo HP front calipers, brembo bottom mount rear caliper, gilles red and black rearsets and chain adjusters, m4 shorty full exhaust, ecu flash, rizoma mirrirs, R&G aero sliders, carbon frame, swingarm covers and fenders adding one in the back, red stainless steel brake lines all over, red anodized bolts and screws throughout..
$20K including the bike...
@Motomillion oh lol I see, that's a different story. I thought I was building my 06 gsxr 750 all over again 😆
Waiting for 2024 Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP😊😌
We are already in 2025 model year.
It’s a lot of bike for the money
It sure is! It will be a lot more bike for not a lot of money soon!
How to make this bike more comfortable for longer rides ?
Suzuki gel seat or a Corbin would be great. Adjustable clip-ons. Adjustable rear sets. I have flipped the plates so it moves the pegs down for touring.
I have added a layer of self healing memory foam to a couple of seats I redone on my sportbikes that helped out
Tune your suspension for your weight and riding style. It's inexpensive and a shop can tune it under 1 hour.
@stanley427, be careful with the lean angle now.
Brock performance exhaust will do..
ΓΣΧ-Ρ baby, yeah! too bad Suzuki isn't even trying anymore....
The bike itself is still pretty nice given the price.
Full exhaust system and a moore mafia Tune would be sweet. But time will tell whats coming👀
I am betting on the exhaust and tune. This bike has a lot of potential.
@@DeepSouthMoto ofc. You'll see nothing but Gsxr on drag strips coz they are amazing bikes if modified.
Needs exhaust and wheels, but I don't think you can do it for 3500.00
Wheels are too pricy since you will need bearings, aftermarket chain and sproket kit.
Needs brakes before anything else.
@Motomillion I didn't know Suzuki brakes were that bad.
I'm a Ducati Fan Boy, and brakes are usually really good on them.
Ima about 19k in my 2024 gsxr 1000 and I got way more work then that
We just started….
20K challenge does not include the bike cost.
Ours includes the cost.

This is Phase 1. We can take it further once Phase 1 is done.
To be honest i was looking forward to 20k spent on modification . This doesnt match builds on this channel.
We always do Phase 1, that is sensible, than we do more. The Phase 1 for this project will be budget restricted since it was a great idea that was suggested by one of our viewers!
Japanese motorcycles were 15 years behind European ones, both qualitatively, technically and also in terms of performance
This really does not feel that out dated…
A 2009 Ducati 1198 S and a 2024 Yamaha R1 are similar in terms of tech and performance?
That's not true or European bikes would have been dominating motogp for 15yrs
@@donationsaccepted4767 I'm talking about road bikes, or SBKs, not MotoGPs. However in SBK, European bikes have been winning the championship for a long time.
